Hello and welcome to LFS!

You can use any photo/image editing software to make your own skins or edit existing ones. Photoshop and GIMP (which is free) are possibily used around here for making skins. Miscrosoft Paint can be used, but is not recommended.

Its quite easy to make a skin (if you are generally computer savvy and can find your away around the image editting software), but you will need patience and some creativity to make great skins (along with some practise).

Lots of help is available in the LFS Manual and under the skins subforum here to make the job easier. Search the forum and you're bound to get pleanty of tips and tricks...

To get started, have a look at the relevant page in the LFS Manual: Skin tutorial which covers the basics. And have a look at this post.

u=1 is Victor.

u=2 is not a dev

Also entering random numbers (between 1 and 921235) does not always bring up profile (meaning that the specific user has not created a forum account yet?)

Hello there, welcome to LFS!

Most "how-to" stuff and all sorts of info regarding LFS can be found in the LFS Manual.

Make sure that the skin file is properly named. File starting with three-letter car code and "_" and ending with ".jpg" (not ".jpeg").

i.e. FXO_Speedy77.jpg

And as stated in the manual the size shouldn't be more 1024*1024...

PS: You should try making your own Coca Cola skin; its fun to race around in a skin you made yourself (but maybe that's just me)

Rentner and Raksakas - the two of you are not going to upload a hotlap? Its a fine feature of LFSworld and you can use the hotlap analyser and other tools to see how you can improve your time. Just a heads up since you might find it useful...

Well then, give the money to a friend or relative who can buy you S2 via paypal, which is quite easy. If you've got the money the rest of it surely can't be that hard.

Any special reason why they wont let you buy S2? Not fan of internet shopping or do they think you'd be spending far too much time on LFS? The latter is true - so dont buy S2 if you've got exams etc. coming up!
