And the S1 tracks. And the maxguests. (Any more? :razz
S2 hosts can set S1 hosts' parameters so S1 license holder can join (but then it effectively becomes a S1 host, not a S2 host where a S1 license holder can connect to).
All I'm saying is, if all you've written to them is "My S2 account david989898 is stolen - I want it back", then you are unlikely to get a response.
The quoted text above applied for another scenario - but if you can indeed prove that the "david989898" account is yours (by emailing the information mentioned above) you might get them to look in to it.
---
How do you think the account got "stolen" in the first place? Someone guessed your password or ...?
---
Edit: Nevermind, I see you said you've already sent the details in the other thread.
@HuskyGoalie: please take a screenshot of the host-list screen (so that we can see all the filter settings / number of hosts not-replied) and attach it here.
The developers do not support users making modifications to the cars. As this is the official Live For Speed forum, any discussions regarding modifications to the car body (as you are requesting) is not allowed.
Where is this coming from? People overtaking in a similar car which just seems to have more power therefore faster than yours? People taking corners faster (5% extra grip) when your car seems to understeer/oversteer if you try giving a bit extra gas?
IF that's the case it's all down to how [experience] drivers race and how well they're cars are set-up, and not hidden gems put in by the developers to give you some oomph.
How many cheaters have you seen over last few (5) days - so much so that you think playing online is no use?
Demo servers - yes, there are users who use cheats/hacks because, hey, you can create another account if one get banned.
But in S1/S2 servers - people rarely cheat (not saying that everyone is clean), because their licence account might get banned from that server (+others) if evidence is brought up against them.
Care to elaborate on this? Is it really that bad out there in multi-player mode?
Well, to begin with the multiplayer mode is not quite suitable when you're just getting into the sim. Take one car one track and get used them in single player mode. A good start would be either of the demo cars at Blackwood Grand Prix.
Yes - the AI has its limitations, but what you can do is simply add one AI and race against it. At least try to keep up as you progressively increase its difficulty level to the highest.
Pop into a well administrated demo server (AirAttack, Redline Racing etc.) and see how the top guys are driving. Join in once you think that you're not a hazard for other drivers. Sure, you may drive/race safely in close quarter in real life - but it takes time to get used to everything in LFS.
From the sounds of things (people crashing into you, a lot!) it seems like you may have been trying out not so well administrated servers - or you simply might have joined in at a bad time. Continuous bad driving will not be tolerated in the "good" servers.
There aren't many S1/S2 servers (as far as I know) that will be any good to you until you get used to the cars and learn the different tracks. That's why I suggested the demo combo - there's always plenty of servers and drivers in Bl1 with the demo cars. But demo being demo, it all depends on server (and if any admins are connected at that time to oversee any wreckers).
Once you get used to everything - it takes you to a whole new level. Un-installing LFS at this point is a shame.
Don't worry about the axis (axes might be recognized differently for various controllers). Simply click on "steer" and then the "Y-axis" - doing that should assign the wheel to steer function.
---
Nothing happens when you press the brake/accelerator?
Can you configure/calibrate the hardware - maybe with Window's Control Panel > Game Controllers?
If its still not recognized - you might have to reinstall it. Have you got the the correct drivers for your Window's operating system (I'm assuming you've got Windows).
---
Edit: Someone else has brought up the same issue couple of years back: maybe the wheel only has a steering axis and "buttons" for the brakes and accelerator.
The page don't seem to be updated after the recent patch. So, to select "reverse", when you're in the "X" configuration, simply go the track selection screen (click on "track" just below "garage" and the track map.). Now you can select normal / rev. Although when you're using normal / reverse configuration, you'll have to press "CTRL" to be able to select "X" or "Y".
Once you get used to the track configuration abbreviations, you can directly type in "/track=bl1", "/track=as7Y" to change track [in single player mode or when admin on multi-player mode].
This is hardly a big company. Only 4 four people are directly involved with it, as far as I'm aware - and LFS isn't likely to be their only source of income!
Maybe there is a better better explanation why they seem to be ignoring the messages.
The account haven't been online since 23 August. Try this link from time to time to see if anyone has been using it - unfortunately you won't be able to do anything much about it.
I'm sure they do read the emails. However, I expect there might be something odd with your account (i.e. misuse) which might explain why they may seem to be ignoring it.
You still haven't answered the question - What is your licensed account username?
Have you given out your username and password to someone else? If an account is unlocked from various places from around the world it might be banned for misuse. Of course, you would be notified about it - but since you've lost your email address as well...
