What you should do is the same, but the process varies from one router to another.
First find out the correct make and model of your router and then go to http://portforward.com/ and find what steps that you should take...
(Find your router make/model, click skip the advert (top right of screen), from the list of software select "Live for Speed server" and then you'll see the exact steps that you need to take).
I still remember my first time; it took ages Have fun!
Edit: No need to buy a server (unless your planning on letting a lot of people connect). Simply set up port forwarding and you'll be fine if you've got a good connection.
Hi. What's the ping to the servers? You can see the values on the hosts list screen.
Please post your results for tests at speedtest.net and pingtest.net. When you're selecting a host on those two sites, select a UK host (The AirAttack Servers are hosted in the UK as far as I know).
You may have a 8 Mbps connection, but the connection through to UK might not be optimum...
Try connecting to various servers; not just AirAttack. Does the same happen when you connect to the cargame.nl S1 server (which I believe is hosted in Netherlands/Germany)?
Search for the keywords "only for multiplayer hosts" and set "show results as posts". Go through the results - this too has come up number of times in this forum; you should be able to find a solution easily.
Repeat the process for the next error that'll inevitably come up...
Please use the "search this thread" feature and search for "TCP ERROR" and have a look at the results: I'm sure EQ Worry has described what this means what you should do to avoid it (or to fix it).
Not the [new] ones you're looking for - but they're close! If you really want a skin similar to the image you link - try posting a skin request here: http://www.lfsforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=70
You'd always find a few hundred drivers online at any given time (peaking at 1000+ at European evenings). Have look at www.lfs.net and the number of "racers online". You can find more info about the history of the number of drivers online using LFSWorld.
Hotlapping is purely single player. You need to set a hot lap and upload it to LFSWorld - so naturally you won't see anyone in that mode.
And its likely that LFSTech monitors the I.P. address at each unlock. If the account that you're going to give a way for a month (10 months, 10 users - 10 unlocks) - the account might be flagged for misuse and banned globally (Or it would be easy for 1 person to buy a S2 account and give the GAMEpassword to his friends so they can all play). I don't know if this is being done for sure - but I suspect something of the sort does happen to prevent people abusing licenses.
It would be best if you clear it up with Victor before giving out the GAMEpassword for any users.
