Have a look in the LFS Manual for all sort of tips and guides. A lot of useful stuff can be found in the forum too; have a look in the stickied-threads or search for key words.
If you need any help, just post in the relevant section and someone will help you out.
If you're looking for specific race sets you can find them on the following two sites (they're sorted by car/track).
What I used to do was spectate after each race and then join in after the grid was sorted. Of course that only works when there are less drivers than the grid size... (or you get the "race full" message).
You can swap the grid places if the race was starting off the lobby, but not when it restarts while on track...
Mandatory training: it might be considered too restrictive (for some people), although I support the idea:
How about the Training-level check associated with each license as you've stated? The host.cfg could have a line to select the minimum training level required - thay way some could require no training whilst others would require full training.
Maybe the level of completion/how well you did in the training could be stored in-game and checked everytime you go online? Something like that will be automated where uploading your results would be kinda complicated for some users who just want to race online...
Hi, you would initially get 3 unlocks when you buy the game. When you use them up, each Friday you will receive 1 (up to a total of 2). I believe number of unlocks are in place to limit the people misusing the license.
Why did you have to keep uninstalling it; were there any errors?
If you didn't know, Z25 is an older version. The current version is 0.6B, which can be downloaded from the main site: http://www.lfs.net/?page=downloads
I thought all you had to do was go to Options > Controls: Select Wheel/Joystick (DFGT should be automatically detected).
On Buttons 2, next to horn, click on [none] (under the "wheel buttons") and just press the button you want to act as the horn. The same could apply to rest of the buttons.
If you have the logitech profiler installed, you should be record a keystroke and assign it for a button too, but that's the long way around; but needed if want to map the indicators.
Hi, when you say setup according to the manual, do you mean the wheel's manual or the LFS Manual?
Especially this in order to set up the axes properly.
If none of that is helpful, take a screenshot (ctrl + s - it'll be saved in /lfs/data/shots) of your options > controls > axes screen (when your wheel is at 12 o'clock position) and upload it here, so someone could spot if something was wrong.
What you should do is the same, but the process varies from one router to another.
First find out the correct make and model of your router and then go to http://portforward.com/ and find what steps that you should take...
(Find your router make/model, click skip the advert (top right of screen), from the list of software select "Live for Speed server" and then you'll see the exact steps that you need to take).
I still remember my first time; it took ages Have fun!
Edit: No need to buy a server (unless your planning on letting a lot of people connect). Simply set up port forwarding and you'll be fine if you've got a good connection.
Hi. What's the ping to the servers? You can see the values on the hosts list screen.
Please post your results for tests at speedtest.net and pingtest.net. When you're selecting a host on those two sites, select a UK host (The AirAttack Servers are hosted in the UK as far as I know).
You may have a 8 Mbps connection, but the connection through to UK might not be optimum...
Try connecting to various servers; not just AirAttack. Does the same happen when you connect to the cargame.nl S1 server (which I believe is hosted in Netherlands/Germany)?
