Turn Left into the pit stop! Now turn Right To get out of the Pit stop!

HOLY COW, THAT RIGHT TURN WAS EXCITING!

I dont get how nascar is amusing. It literaly is just cars going around a big oval a bunch of times. Even better, 500 laps?

Where can i do that? I think if i were to edit some of the later pics in the "raw pictures thread" that i posted, they would come out really nice.

Alright, so im using the Logitec Driving Force Pro wheel. You know, the one for Gran turismo 4.

Anyways, for GT4, Enthusia, and even gay games like Need for Speed, and etc., it lets you use the 900 degree rotation.

So i realized, it connects to the PS2 through USB, so i decide to try it on LFS. Ive been using it for a week, but never decided to ask untill now. Whenever i play on LFS, it only gives me 180 degree rotation (90 degrees both ways.).

Is there a way i can change it to 900? or is it set like this for all 900 degree wheels, on LFS?

I lawled at those s15 lights, with the pop ups above them. FC/MKIII/S15?

Anyways, theres some REALLY nice edits in here. The fanciest thing i have is Microsoft Paint, so unfortunatley for me, all my pictures (some of the newer ones arent bad) are in the raw pictures thread. What are you guys all using to edit your photos?

Keep up the good work!

Quote from Rtsbasic : The career mode in Enthusia is very poorly done, even though the actual racing is great fun.

I agree 100%. The "story mode" (enthusia life, is what its called in that game), is pretty dumb, and i dont really like it. The rest of the game however, the physics, the cars, the driving revolution, the fact that there is a clutch, etc, is REALLY great.

I just hate the lottery style of unlocking cars, and modifications.

What i want soonest?

Touge track! Leave the drifters alone, they will have their own servers. Us grip drivers can still make sprinted runs down the touge without having to worry about them.

HAH! Me and my friend (both actual drummers), did somthing very similar to that after dinner on new years, with plates, wine glasses, and spoons. If youve ever actualy done it, it is very fun.

The two common most wanted tracks are probly Nurburgring, and a mountain pass (touge) track.

I want them both, really bad.

Not any professional driving or anything, but this video is pretty fun to watch. This is the video that got me really into sprinted touge driving. Makes me wanna move out of flat old south florida.

Its a bone stock USDM S13 (240sx), btw. For those of you in other countries, the 180sx.

The guy isnt bad at enthusia, either.

Quote from JJ72 :ummmm lets just say in common sense, there's nothing as a drift course. There's no piece of tarmac in the world which you cannot drive over it unless you go completely sideways, cos it's just a piece of track afterall!!!

whether it's a drift course depends on how you use it really, somebody can call it a hill climb, I can call it rally monte carlo....I wouldn't mind having a real twisty road in LFS becauses there's never been such a road in serious racing simulators and I could love to see the challenge of it compare to a wide open race track.

Ever heard of the Dragon Range in Enthusia? I imagine it might be a real touge as well? Anyways, ever since viewing these videos, and recently getting into my new touge (grip) obsession, ive been dedicating to unlocking this track.

The second vid has the map in the top left

Quote from Dajmin :I like the post count. It's good for establishing how involved people are with what's happening in the community. It's also good for when someone asks either a stupid question or one that's been answered before - you can tell they've not been around much and might not have even used a forum before.

Join date doesn't help this because accounts are created and often never used for forum access.

It's also good if you want to ask someone a question in a PM. The best way to try and get a response is to PM someone with a high post count, since they're obviously around a lot and willing to communicate.

So obviously I voted to keep the counts.

I agree with that. However, i havent seen it on this forum yet, but on other forums i definatley have. Some younger members (funny, hearing this from a 14 year old), like to post as much as they possibly can, without actualy contributing to anything, just to raise their post count.

People will recognize you then as the kid who makes a bunch of useless posts, just to raise his post count. Whats so respectable about that?

Ever since tokyo super dorifto came out, all the little ricer boys think drifting is "mad tyte", and wanna sell their civics and get RWD cars to be a "dorifto master".

Im not a fan of drifting by any means, but i dont have anything against it. Some people do it because they really love the feeling, and they think its fun. other people do it because they saw Fast and the Furious, and wanna be "cool".

Yes, id LOVE to have a mountian pass for sprinted driving in this game. A ton of people would use it for drifting, and other people would use it for grip.

As long as the drifters kept drifting on the track for a drift server, or room or w/e, and didnt go into a room where people were actualy trying to set good times, and drive with grip down the mountain pass, then it could work out pretty well.

This would be more for online, just messing around, rather than racing. However, a point to point race wouldnt be bad, either, but the 2 lane roads would cause for a lot of crashes, when there are bad drivers.

Like sombody said, +1 for a touge track, -1 for calling it a "drift" track.

Quote from KeiichiRX7 :GT4 is no where near as good as enthusia or LFS.

Lets start with something simple. Hop into a 700 horsepower rear wheel drive car in GT4, take traction control off and slam the gas. The wheels spin and it takes off in a nice straight line. Do the same in Enthusia and youve gotta keep the rear end under control, because one tyre might lose grip before the other and the rear end will try to swap around on you.

Both have the Nordeschliefe, and people grumble because the version in Enthusia is not only more accurate but also beautiful, BECAUSE IT ISNT PERFECTLY SUNNY.

GT4's dumbed down. It's okay for cutting your teeth, but the real meat of sim racing isnt there. On the PS2 its Enthusia, and on the PC its LFS.

Enthusia is a pretty cool game, but the lotto style way of winning cars and upgrades is pretty annoying. However, for the Licence tests, grand tourismo has the best/ most fun. Then comes enthusia, which they call it "driving revolution", and then the "training mode" in LFS isnt too great.

Eeither way, i think GT4 is still a more fun game to play then enthusia, but they are both great games.

Does it look like this? http://www.logitech.com/index. ... ,CRID=2250,CONTENTID=7226 if so, keep using it, its one of the best out there.

Yes, that one exactly, and i love it every bit! Works on all my PS2 games, has 900 degree rotation, has force feedback, its got a really good feel to it, its very functiona, and its one of the few wheels to have a "stick", as opposed to just the paddle. Its got both!

Its not a true 6 speed gearbox tho, its just the + and -, like the newer Tiptronic systems you see on some of the autotragic cars today.

Still a really cool wheel.

EDIT: That logitech PS2 style controler looks really cool. Definatley the best cheap alternative to a wheel, for this game. Assuming the analog buttons are sensitive to how far you push them, that could make for a really fun gaming experience.

If i had spare money, i would probly get it. It would be nice to switching to the controler, when its late at night, and my parents dont wanna hear the loud WHRRRR noise, coming from the force feedback.

Quote from joen :Trust me, it would require a lot of changes. Scawen has explained why in the past. It's not just a case of removing the barriers and all is ready to go.

So would it also be a lot more complicated to make a "wet" condition of the track? Just give the visual a... well.. "wet" look, and make the road really slippery. There you go?

I know night time wouldnt be hard, because for every track, theres already clear, cloudy, and sunset. Im sure it wouldnt be that hard to black out the sky, and turn all the lights on.

Quote from deggis :If you want to try one GrB car, Lancia Delta S4 beta was released a beta long time ago... it's unfinished but still amazingly funny to drive. You can completely forget flat out throttle... but because it's unfinished there's no internal textures for incar view which pretty much makes it unplayable if you're not used to play from a bumper cam.

http://torttu.net/lancia_s4_beta.rar
(read the readme!)

Everything except the physics?

It makes it a helluva lot more fun, because with stiff suspension, you can feel all the road bumps through the wheel. The wheel doesnt vibrate or anything, but it turns by it self and you have to keep it straight. hard to explain....

Also, the force feedback mades it pretty cool, too. But if you really wanna have fun with the wheel, go to Circuit De le Sarthe, without the chicanes. Theres a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE straight, and the road is imperfect, meaning its not completley flat. Get the mercedes racecar that goes over 220 mph. The steering wheel starts shaking back and forth like crazy. Its really hard to keep it still, and if you let go of it for more than two seconds, your car is gone.

Anyways, what kind of systems are the games you guys posting for? I really dont recognize that many of them ofther than GT4, Enthusia, Forza, and LFS
