Im not sure what spiking of the accelerator is, so im not sure what to say to that.

I might try to ask them if they can repair it, but id rather not pay, unless its really cheap. Im saving up for a G25 anyways, so i dont know if its worth it.

I wnat RBR pretty bad. Ive got NFS carbon, i played it for half an hour on the first day, never played it again. Its been about a week or two.

Anyone want it? Im selling it.

Should i try to contact them to see if they can replace it? Ive had it for more than a year.

So ive had my DFP for mabey around a year and a half. The pedals are really bad now, and so is the wheel/shifter part.

The wheel part isnt too bad, but the whirring noise it makes when there is NO force feedback, sounds a lot different, in a bad way.

The shifter feelsl ike its broken every time i shift with it, and i had to made my own custom shift boot with paper towel, so it would not feel like this. It worked for a week or two, but now its back to how it was before, and feels very cheap, and like it is about to snap. Also, somtimes my shifts are "missed", as in when i shift, nothing happens.


The pedals are the worst. Whenever i touch the brakes, it always makes this annoying clicking sound. The gas pedal now feels very flimsy, and goes from side to side. Also, whenever im not on the gas (tryed this with LFS, and ps2 with both enthusia and GT4, as they both have a meter that shows how much your accelerating), it goes crazy up and down, up to about the halfway mark.


I do not treat my wheel like crap, and i take good care of it. I never play with shoes, and i dont yank the shifter, when i shift. I am very gentle with it.



Is this a common thing with the DFP? Should i write to Logitech to see if it is possible for them to exchange this one with a new unit?

So mabey somthing else? How about somthing like the older Rear engine Rear wheel drive Bugs? Those were very underpowered, but i dont know how well they handled.

I think the miata would be more favored by a lot of people, then a honda beat. Also, like i mentioned, the Miata-like car doesnt have to be THAT much more powerful than the UF1. Its not an exact replica.

I dont think this has ever been suggested before, and i actualy think it would be a GREAT idea.

All the cars, have even matches. For example, the XFG and the XRG are evenly matched, the XRT, FXO, and RB4 are pretty even, and etc. This makes races fun, so you can limit the race to more than one car.

In STCC 1, the XRG and the XFG are against eachother, and in the other STCC 1 server, its just the UF1, all alone, no other cars in that server for it to race against. Why? It doesnt have an even match!

So it hit me. The UF1 is basicly really light weight, front wheel drive, and underpowered. It handles great, because of its weight, and its not that fast in the straights, because it doesnt have too much power.

Why not give the UF1 something to compete with? My idea, is somthing like the Mazda Miata. It is very light weight, pretty underpowered, RWD, and handles great. The miata is a little bit more weight, and a bit faster, but who says it has to be an exact replica?

If LFS could include a light weight, underpowered, RWD, 2 seater roadster, to compete with the UF1, this would be really great!

Anyone with me?

Didnt read everything, but i think if they make a race version of the RB4, they should make it a rally car. They should also include (street and race version), of a 4 door AWD car that can compete with the RB4? Mabey it can be faster on the straights, but doesnt take turns as well as the RB4.

Whats funny is, ive always hated South City in LFS, but always LOVED the Seattle Circuit (a city course) in Gran Turismo.


City tracks are really fun, but theres just somthing about south city i dont like. I think its the confusion of not knowing which direction to turn, without using a map. You get to the "intersection", and if its a right turn, you can easyly make a left, and not notice theres a barricade, untill youve actualy turned that way, and went into that direction.


I dont know if anybody gets what i mean.

I figured id bump this thread back to life.

I didnt read all four pages, but LFS is no doubt, my favorite game of all time. Why? Its online mode is awsome, its got GREAT physics, for being made by 3 guys, its awsome, and its more of a "friendly game, than a serious game, but the racers still race fairly.

Therse just too much to explain, but it really is amazing. Could it be better? Yes. Its still awsome.

Should i make one for the FZ5?

Well, my computer is way below the computer requirements as far as processor speed, and video card.

I brought it back to the store to see if i could return it, and they said i could pick out a different computer game and exchange it. Only thing i saw that i liked was NFS carbon :sadbanana

Hopefully this hardcore racing sim wont be TOO bad? The mountain (canyon, actualy) roads dont look to bad.

Ill let you know how bad, or how good it is.

Hm.... just bought it, just isntealled it. Tryed playing it. The loading movie lagged incredibly, and the gameplay is even worse. This is THE WORST lag ive ever experienced. Idk my full computer specs, but ive got 1 gig of ram and my computer always runs LFS flawlessly with up to 3 other programs in the back ground (multitasking).

Here is a skin you might like for the XFG.

Simply do what i do. I have itunes running in the background with my own cruise or racing playlist, depending on what i feel like listening to. Works fine for me, and its no extra work.

While yes, i was unaware of the fact that UK insurance prices were incredibly high, this is also a little inside joke weve had going for a while now.

I like the analog speedo because i am used to it. I dont like it in LFS because unless you want your FOV to be 1 degree, you cant read the numbers. I hate the digital speedo in LFS because it doesnt let you see the numbers go up.


Herse a suggestion, analog speedo, and in the middle of the "arc" of the speedo, a little mini analog spedo!
