So theres not really that much people online? Thats what i like PC games for. You can play online, and talk to them with the keyboard.

Im so used to hitting "T" to talk, whenever i go to LFSforums right after playing LFS for real, i hit T to reply to a post.

Quote from TiJay :TDU will be out on PS2, but the physics are being re-coded to something more arcadey AFAIK as it's being converted to PS2/PSP by someone different.

Grand Prix Legends? Got it, it's great.

Is GP legends Downloaded, or bought at the store from CD?

Also, is it online?

So i take it that this game is only avaliable for PC? I woulda rented it for PS2.

Anyways, its amazing how some people here think of GT4 as a game with Need for speed physics, and others think its the same as real life.

Sure, its not the MOST realistic game ever, but its still pretty damn good. Compared to enthusia, they are the about the same, but when you take ALL driving aids off on both (ESM, TCS, etc.), then enthusia wins for being more realistic.

Anyways, does anyone know of any other online SIMULATION games for the PC?

I was a die hard RallyX reverse racer. Good Ol' Days, some intense racing. I miss my old racing friends

you can always still play in the demo servers, if you have an S2 liscence.

I have an S1, and i spend most of my time in Demo. But thats because all the action is in either demo, or s2. The only time S1 sees any population is the STCC, which i sometimes participate in, but usualy do badly because im not used to the understeer monsters you start out with, untill you get your bronze liscence.

Quote from DeKo :i agree with jtbo. while it is actually a good game, and it is fun to drive a ford GT about hawaii, the physics arent exactly good. most cars handle pretty much the same, mostly, apart from the speed, and the motorbikes just plain sucks. its immense fun though when im in the mood for a bit of arcade.

So Test Drive Unlimited is a good game? Is it able to be used with the force feedback? I think i might go out and rent that. I never really play those "arcade" racing games, but you guys make it sound really good.

Quote from LongJohnSilver :So the horizontal "slider" bars work fine? Do they go from the very right edge to the very left smoothly as you press the pedal down?

What about if you go to the controller in "game controllers" within the control panel? Do you see full axis movement there?

Make sure that you have tried reassigning the throttle and brake to the appropriate axis within LFS.

This shouldnt be anything to worry about. Its just part of the anti stall/auto clutch.

Not really sure what the problem is though. Seems very odd that the axis work fine on the slider bar, but not once they are assigned.

the first to questions, yes and yes.

The second, it never used to do that before, so i wouldnt say its normal.

COULD have???
My DFP is acting Up.
Sketchyrollin564

Alright, so heres the deal. My DFP has alwasys worked fine with this game. I do the whole Select, L3, right paddle thing to get 900 degree rotation. Been doing that for about a week now, been playing LFS with the DFP for about two weeks ish.

Today, litearly out of nowear, i notice my XRT is going really really slow. So i take it to the pits, and then bring it out. I have the accelerator PEGGED, and i look at the boost guauge. Its supposed to go to 12 psi, and it gets there pretty quick. It was topping out at 4 psi, and it took FOREVER to get there. Since i was playing online, i had the other players spec me. They told me i wasnt pegging it, buti told them i was.

So one guy pointed out to me the green bar on the bottom. I physicly was floring it, but in the game i wasnt. Also, when i let go of the gas pedal, you could still see a tiny bit of the green bar at the bottom. So i went into options, and re ajusted all the setings, and tryed teh peddals at seperate, combined, etc.

DOESNT WORK!. So i instal the drivers, from the wingman website thing, and at the end of the instalation, it calibrated everything. I go back to LFS, and go to single player - practice, and give it a go. Steering wheel works fine, shifter works fine, pedals wont work. When i go and ajust, before i had it on combined, because on sepearte, the gas would be halfway when not touching, all the way when holding the gas, and nothing at all when holding the brakes, but simply no brake. Combined let me drive it normal, just i couldnt hold the gas and brake at the same time.

So now im trying all different kinds of configurations, and i cant seem to get it to detect pedal movement while im racing. Under the ajust axis stuff, you can see the bar move when i touch the pedals, but its the horizontal axis bar, not the green and red ones on the bottom. Those wont move at all.

So basicly, i cant play LFS with the wheel anymore, and this is kinda pissing me off. The wheel is in good condition, hasnt been abused, and was working perfectly, untill out of noware, it decided to do that.

Sooooo, this is where you guys come in! Mabey some of you who have had this problem, or a similar problem, or just the people who know alot can help. I really dont know what to do, and well... yeah.. i dont know what to do.

Any help is GREATLY apreciated. Thanks in advance.

When i was little, i was a die hard NFS fan. Now im a die hard LFS fan

Gran Turismo, and Enthusia are pretty much the only PS2 racing games i play, untill another simulation game comes out. Im sorry, but taking sharp turns at 200 mph, and being able to drive your car like its on rails, is simply not fun.

When im playing a car game, and i drive the car, i expect it to drive... well... like a car.

Anyone know of any other online racing games for the PC that are realistic?

Yep. The old NFS games were targeted more twards true enthusiasts, and people who love cars. The newer games are targeted more twards ricers, kids (imature ones, atleast), Fast and Furious fanboys, and people who simply use their car and whats done to it as a status symbal.

Underground, and the new games are really dumb. Underground 2 isnt too bad, with the selection of cars. And driving bone stock cars, on the mountain pass (touge) in that game, is actualy pretty fun with the DFP. However, driving any non stock car is really boring, and annoying, because its COMPLETLEY un realistic. Atleast driving bone stock cars in that game, it feels like driving a fully modded car in real life.

I didnt bother trying "Most Wanted", untill a few months ago when i was sick and bored. I played it a couple days, and got really bored with it, because it was just so dumb. Not even gunna bother trying carbon, or anything that follows.

They need to make more "realistic/sim" games, like GT4 and Enthusia. Well, GT4 is a big franchise, so theres gunna be more and more, but other than GT4, theres not really any other "good" games, other than Enthusia.
