Quite impressive! You greatly captured the mood there, and I especially like how you worked out the wall textures. About the girl: At first sight I thought she was a doll! So, that speaks for her make-up.
With the intention to make the RAC a bit more desireable I upgraded it a little bit. It's got a more sophisticated and modern lightset as well as a highly detailed interior where purism comes across a hint of luxury.
In the package there's also an alternative file for all the people driving on the wrong, ahem, right side of the road with a corrected dashboard signature. Simply rename the file "RA_Parts_UK" to "RA_Parts".
And now, ladies and gentlemen, give the RAC the chance it never had!
Installation: Extract the file(s) into the "LFS\data\dds" folder, but remember to backup your old files before. Enjoy!
Here are some of my pictures from this year's ADAC 24h race (and ADAC Classics, respectively) at the Nürburgring. I went a bit more experimental this time but I'm not quite sure about the outcome ...
Good and clear pictures, seems like you're continually improving your panning shots. Maybe now it's time for the next step: Try placing your main object away from the middle and compose your pictures a bit more. And when shooting moving things, what about tilting your camera to some degree to emphasize dynamics even more?
I present you a birth out of boredom that – very un-German – totally lacks seriousness. I'm struggling to find a name for it, so I call it what it is: the Lada XR GT Hybrid Targa (slightly rusty, but tuned, polished, weight reduced, and GREEN, of course!), a true Frankenstein of the automobile world. Having played around a bit with LFS Tweak recently I discovered that I'm in need for a matching skin for the 7.0 litre monster engine I created before.
These are already too many words - here's the skin, just in case that somebody finds himself in the same dilemma ...
I've got some spare G25 pedals + shifter in good condition and fully functional I'd like to find a new home for.
If there's anybody interested in buying these, I'll be awaiting your price offer via PM. Pickup would also be possible, if you are around the area of Frankfurt, Germany.
You should be aware that the chance of a sharp hit sinks with the focal width you use at the same shutter speed. So when using a zoom lens (100+ mm) even a mere 200th of a second can become a very long time.
Apart from that, try to pan everything that moves for practice: people, animals, planes, etc. Even very slowly moving things can look awesome when photographed with a panning shot - they look much faster instead.
Once you've started with panning shots, you just can't stop. At least for me that's the case.
The perfect panning shot is an achievement worth fighting for. To quote speedhunters.com: "When you drop your shutter speed to levels where nine out of ten images are unusable, you enter a world where that tenth image becomes something special."
