See I played CoD4 to death, seriously. Then I purchased MW2, and quickly got bored...this is simply because I got bored of the first modern warfare game as you do if you play something so much; and MW2 is pretty much exactly the same game. This 'new' game looks and seems to play pretty much exactly the same too, so for that reason I personally won't be buying it.

I'm not saying it will be a bad game, because it will most likely be good, but in the sense that CoD4 was good...it will just be...well...nothing new, innovative or special...it will happily take your money though, and then some more for the inevitable map packs.

I used to play Eve till last year, quit after 2 years. The game was good in the fact you did feel completely free to do whatever, but CCP's idea of game balance didn't involve little tweaks to find the right level of balance, it involved complete overhauls and changes so dramatic you ended up each patch having to play completely different.

I've not played it for ages but it looks like they've managed to completely break the game somehow with the responses.

Shame really, it has so much potential because the game itself is well thought out and would completely work on paper if they could just program it correctly!

I signed up for iRacing because there was a promotional offer going on...like half price for 3 months and some other cars thrown in.

I didn't renew but only because it was too serious as already stated for me. LFS is a brilliant sim racer but as you stated much more relaxed and outgoing...hence the drift/destruction derby/cruise servers. I can't fault either iRacing or LFS.

The one thing I loved about iRacing was the 'development and career' aspects to it, but it come with the problem of excessive time consumption (at least for me anyway)...the reason I quit playing the mmorpg 'Eve' was because I was wasting too much time on it. This means really LFS suites me, it has the sim aspect with the boot up the computer and play advantage.

One way to look at it is iRacing is for the true enthusiast who wants to progress which iRacing respectively enforces; therefore you must start at the bottom on work your way up. LFS is for the racing enthusiast that simply cannot be arsed with all that and wants to race!

I dont think hot is a good enough word. Out of this world.

Orgasm to my ears.

I highly recommend Spor's Conquerers & Commoners LP, I bought it from iTunes.

And you can keep your man juice for the more curvaceous human types

Some recommendations needed for what to do on my birthday!

My birthday is soon and last year I organised paintballing, it was brilliant but this time round I am unsure on what to do for everyone.

So far the suggestions have been go-karting, laser quest or indoor ski-ing at Chillfactor in Manchester.

Just wondering really what everyone else would recommend?

I've personally never been karting, I know this will be immense fun but it looks really expensive and not really liable to last at least a full afternoon...but if anyone knows of any karting places in the UK that can offer this I'll certainly have a look!

Anyway, I'm just stumped for suggestions so everyone is certainly much appreciated!

Thanks

Wow that phone was extensively tested?

I like iPhones, they are very easy to use and that's saying something because touchscreens never usually agree with me. I probably would get one if I wanted to spend £40 (or there abouts) a month but in realistic terms I pay £10 for unlimited texts, 300 mins a month for none o2 calls which is easily enough...it's all I really need.

Just out of interest to those with any iPhone, how much does it work out a year?

With adequate enough minutes from my last bill on my current provider o2, including the one off payment for the 16GB 3GS, it would be £689 for the year, and then is there an insurance charge too? I know essentially you're not just paying for the phone, you're paying for a mobile company service too...but I don't understand why and how so many people accept paying so much just for the latest gadget.

Most of my colleagues have an iPhone but it's basically...for what they use it for...a glorified walking Facebook and texting device.

Regardless of how bad it is for you; tobacco doesn't have such a profound effect as what mariguana does, ...as well as alchohol doesn't have a crazy range of short term effects.

I agree with it being used as a medicine, but to legalise if for all I don't agree. Only because most of the people I know who do smoke weed go rather slow during the effects, in one case my mate who has smoked it long term pretty regulary just babbles complete none sense most of the time now, and I will only blame it on weed.

Don't really need to analyse yesterdays performance, there was nothing in terms of passion to guide them, it was a bland heartless display. The worst I've ever seen them play and they don't deserve to go through.

Slovenia and the USA seem to have more drive to actually achieve the title, no matter how hard that may be...I'd rather have them go through than a team that trains all day then completely forgets how to play when it matters.

Quote from Intrepid :England can't play the passing game. They just don't have the technique. What England can do is route one. We should embrace it

Impressed with North Korea's patience and defence, it's a shame they are in such a tough group or they might have had a serious chance of progressing further.

So far from watching the teams play the strongest looks to be Germany from composed play, followed by Argentina. Spain will be interesting though.

As for England...well we need to really work on the possession side of things, we seemed to hasty to get the ball up which resulted in us losing all the time. Big room for improvement we will hopefully see against our last 2 group games...but I highly doubt we'll win it.

While I think it's potentially too easy to use mouse and keyboard there's nothing you can do if you want it to be a fair system; not everyone has a wheel so who is anyone to tell them they can't stand up to the people that do?

With Virgin Media, so it's hard not to hit their 'traffic shaping' criteria when downloading anything of substantial size...annoying when you really want to play Steam's new releases straight away!

How much does the usual FPS online shooter use say per hour? Usually that's the main use of my internet so, whatever an average of around 7 hours of online gaming a week is the bandwidth I use, with the general internet browsing.
