Quote from sgt.flippy :I'm sorry. I once had a girlfriend, had something with her veins. Made her turn red very easily too.

My friend turns rosey-red all over when he drinks anything alcoholic, cant remember the name of it but its common among Asian people, even though he isnt Asian...

Quote from Jakg :She doesn't wear any red on her cheeks - I don't know why but they are permanently like that. I think that somewhere along her jaw being smashed to bits (don't ask) something odd happened to the blood flow around her cheeks.

Wow....in that case I apologize for my comment

Quote from sgt.flippy :And for the other post too:

I thought I put it rather nicely, I just think she'd look WAY better without the make-up. I think she looks nice, nothing bad about her, just the make-up isn't necessary, or a little less noticeable. I'm not trying to insult anyone, sorry if it sounded that way!

Looking better without makeup is indeed a complement I think what flippy was trying to say in a wierd way is she overdid the red on her cheeks.

Quote from PaulH :No problems with my G25 yet. The shifter is a little flimsy like people say but just treat it carefully and use it softly and should hopefully last. I'm worried that something will break just after the warranty expires. . .

Have a look here: http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?t=299371

Thanks for this, unfortunatly the mod to increase resistance details the disadvantage of a hit n miss with the sequential mode actually working after the DIY mod is completed.

Since I use this part of the G25 realistically on cars that would have a sequential shifter, such as GTR cars, then its a risk I wouldnt take.

Also the shifter feels flimsy, but mines taken a lot of punishment from various people and it still feels and works exactly the same as the day I first used it.

Quote from LFSn00b :Is the Steam-COD4 any better compared to the nonsteam CoD:4? I think the only good thing in it is that steam tracks how long have you played the game. But XFire pwns steam in that

Anyways, i feel like re-downloading CS CZ Deleted scenes, i love the "storyline-ish" thingy in it :P

Its the same but you can join from steam, which is imo better. But still COD4 is $70 on steam, so I got a hard copy and added it manually.

Thats really how quick you adapt to using manual clutch and H-shifter. The G25 doesnt make you faster, just enhances the experience, infact it made me slower because I dont use auto-clutch.

If you play racing games a lot, then I recommend it. If you dont then I would stick to your current wheel.

Quote from Stang70Fastback :Well, let me just say that a few months ago I splurged and bought a $200 Asus Xonar Sound card for my computer. Previously I was using the small PCI 1x 7.1 sound card that came with my Crosshair Mobo.

I have never, EVER been happier with a single upgrade in my life. I was skeptical that I would hear a difference, but the sound difference was absolutely incredible. I really can't even begin to describe it. Maybe I noticed it more with my z5300e setup, but it was absolutely amazing. I had just watched Transformers (we use this computer as a media center) and I watched the battle scenes again and it was completely different. Even regular music sounds much better. What this card did was help me discover the new higher-frequency sounds in movies and music. But everything else ALSO sounds a lot... crisper? I absolutely recommend a good sound card to anyone who wants good sound. These speakers are "THX certified..." and I was never that impressed (I've had them for two years.) I finally understand what this sound system is capable of with this card now.

Also, I used to not be able to go above 75% on the speaker controls without hissing (as with any computer speakers usually.) I assumed that was just normal. Not anymore! 100% and absolutely no hissing or background noise at all.

All in all, I have to say, I would never have expected it, but these things make a phenomenal difference.

Yea, see I thought it was my speakers that were crap until I got the x-fi, in your case the asus one.

I am currently looking into getting 5.1 or 7.1 system now, as I am turning my computer into a media centre too. Buying a nice new larger monitor, a blue-ray player for the machine, and some comfort items for the room. Got the TV card/remote all sorted out etc

Cant wait till its done

Quote from LFSn00b :Does anyone have Audiosurf btw? I'm considering getting it, how is it like? Is it good or bad?

Casual game, induces headaches lol

I have it, its fun but really the 'puzzle' game isnt actually a puzzle more of catch the blocks and hope for the best. At least with the fast paced music I listen to, theres no way I can compose the blocks lol...

To be honest I feel I have just wasted 4 years of my life in IT education, its definatly not enjoyable for me anymore and the competitiveness in the IT industry in most, maybe even all fields just too much to make decent money.

I am at the moment rethinking my career choice entirely, I wouldnt consider it wasted though with the qualifications gained I can get any mediocre job in IT with ease...if I ever really needed the income, and education aside I have come out with a lot of crazy life experiences that I am sure will help me in the future, being only 19.

I have always taken life as it comes, bad choices, good choices...never know what lies ahead.

To the original poster though, yes, I feel too much gaming time and computer time has disfunctioned my brain somewhat....my concentration level has seemed to plummet from my used to be patient and composed self.

But they were my choices in the end...your just going to need the courage and motivation to change your life around from now.

If you enjoyed making music, go for it. Dont make something that causes you to think and write to the community this thread of concern overpower your true dream and passion.

Quote from tristancliffe :Agreed. People are NOT born equal - stupidity is part of the genes. Some people will be thick twats no matter how much money they have (although in general terms the stupid people tend to be the poor people because they can't manage money, and spent it on lotteries or scratchcards, or other "Stupid Taxes" etc).

Some call it elitism. I call it nature. Sadly society has stopped nature from working - stupid, fat, ugly, disease ridden people wouldn't breed if nature had it's way, but somehow even the worst kind scum seems to find a mate these days. And then breeds on a huge scale, and fill their council estates with ugly, stupid, disease ridden, swearing good-for-nothing scummy children.

In an ideal world they'd all be slaughtered for the good of the species, but no one is allowed to say that...

You seem to be generalizing and presuming stupid, fat, ugly, disease ridden people are all the idiots that dont deserve to live. If our society has progressed to a point where everyone can live a rich full life than I would say that is damn good progress of the human race.

You can't help what upbringing you have had, you can't help what culture you were born into, I say your comment is uncalled for, escpecially in this thread...or anywhere on this forum.

It happens to us all, its the calibration within LFS.

Simply...set your wheel up to whatever degrees your using, such as 720 degrees on both LFS and the profiler.

Go to Options > Controls > Wheel/js > Axis/FF. Make sure on this menu that 'unlock' is selected under 'recalibrate axis'.

Start a game, at the starting line turn your steering wheel as far right or as far left as possible...this means turning it the full 900 degrees even if the wheel is set lower, when the wheel is centred again it should have calibrated. (This has nothing to do with the wheel itself calibrating when you first plug it in)
