If you havn't recieved your new pot yet and still want to race there is an easy solution to enable short term fix, as follows.

Set up and plug in wheel
start LFS, join server and pit out, or pit out in single player any car will do.
Press shift+O, click controls, click axis/ff, click recalibrate axis, now press both pedals but only press them to about 80-90% of full travel, then let them return
Rotate wheel left then right to full lock and back, now click yes to calibration lock (this lets LFS believe that 80% is 100%)
Exit options menu and test on track
If no better recalibrate again, and only press pedals 60-70% full travel, it can take some getting used to.

I have used the above method many times as sometimes I just want to race and think about taking the pedals apart another time.

I have a raptor-gaming M1 mouse, great device however recently when browsing and scrolling I have a small prob.

when I scroll down, forums for example, its fine, but when I roll the wheel up it sends the browser back a page or more, I just can't seem to locate why its doing this

any ideas?

Jan Im pretty sure X is side to side Y is vertical up down and Z is forward+Back

I think most road cars seats move at least 500mm travel front back and maybe as much as 100mm or more vertically this would allow for some freedom of views I agree with the poster above the wheel should be removable making dash clearer

this forced cockpit veiw option this months LX compo servers are using , has encouraged me to use the cp view more often, and after a little while when I get in the zone I don't even notice what view I'm in my cp times are improving

Austin if you need another unlock to get S2 content unlocked, and you dont want to wait another 26 days, you could always ask very nicley here

I dont understand how you managed to unlock just S1 content when you are S2 licenced I think you have just have demo access? Maybe you have more than 1 install, I would recomend getting the latest full version but I see you have X already

If you do get unlocked you are welcome to pop into any of the T7R servers and Im sure if you ask, someone will send you some setups and give you some track tips

I dont think the mission of these recent patches have anything to do with ai, its so patch X final can be as bug free as possable IIRC patch Y will be the AI patch

when you accellerate out of the turns you actually lose speed because you are drifting try to go slower into the apexes and then gas on smoothly keeping the nose of the car pointing as straight as possable

try to find a smooth line from T1 to the chicain exit without swishing that rear under gas

It could be setup related too try some different ones if you can.

I have this also with F08 and GTR cars maybe more, makes it very hard to see the tyre temps (colours) and wear, I am using 32bitx1920X1200 native res,

I have just tested, and it seems it occurs in all "non square" widescreen modes I think this should be easly reproduced by anyone with a widescreen monitor.

I dont really care who is to blame in incidents, I normally say "sorry" even if it appears its the other chaps fault, why? because I just want to clear the air and race on.

I see more and more threads about whos fault was this and that and replays with players calling each other idiots or noobs, or even worse swearing (whats the point of that?) and I just dont get it, when on a race track you are racing with other players, we all have to share the same track and sometimes crashes happen.
but when 2 cars are side by side or passing IMO respect is earnt for allowing others to race aswell, sometimes the fastest inside-outside line will use all the track, however when another car is alongside a good driver takes this into account and adjusts thier line accordingly and not just state over and over "I'm in the right"

just my opinion of late.

You are using a force feedback wheel arn't you?

I wont defend LFS tyre physics as perfect, but IMO theres plenty of grip available once you find the limits of the car and set, I use F9 to show tyre temps and muddy or over hot tyres will feel very slippy, but good tyre management helps some

whilst many enjoy LFS in single player, the online gamecode in LFS is second to none and racing human players of similar skills to your own really does make a world of difference to "driving with" those AI cars

I recomend you try it if you can Im sure we would welcome you at one of our T7R servers anytime (provided one is running an S1 available combo) we are all very friendly and can share sets ect.

Not sure if this has been reported before;
I havn't tried all cars,
the fo8 works well tho in garage, suspension screen ,slide the ride hight sliders fast left and right all the way (makes the car bounce) keep bouncing and the car can move, sometimes offscreen, and the suspension breaks have to rejoin or spec to get suspension fixed

do you have to observe speed limits in cruise? or is that somthing else Im thinking of?

surely if your just cruising do you really need to reset? could you just set it to no reset

not sure if you use wheel or kb, but why not use left and right buttons (both are pressed for lookback) but depending which 1 you press 1st decides if you look over your left or right shoulder, just try it and see W and E are default buttons
