adding some higher res textures and a reflection mod can work wonders IMO
Pretty Much the past few months i have stuck with the Conedodgers GTR servers. The people on there i "know" i have "known" a few of them for a very long time as i used to race with a few on a blackwood GP server a while back. Racing with people you know is much better then getting shafted by n00bs at turn1, at least if it happens with people you regular race with, they say sorry and everything is a little nicer, a large number of them race in the same division as me in the gtr league, so its always good to practise against them.

it is a sad state of affairs, a few days ago Bt Broadband started killing people using IRC when they receive a Dcc send or receive request
some people have had emails confirming they have been blocked, some like me have had emails denying its a BT problem, others have had emails saying its an ongoing concern and the engineers are looking into it.
it is only a matter of time before we are throttled into submission regarding everything

the same model number, but the colours are slightly different on one, even when fiddling with the preset colour options, i can only assume that these things are not "calibrated" very well in manufacturing

not in LFS as it sounds like a hoard of angry bumble bees
in lfs i play the standard music with the add on pack, but after trying out the CSR sound mod, i have not even noticed the music for a while
why would you want a wheel that you can spin around far to easy?
the steering on my road car is not "light and fluffy"
i can catch slides fine on 900 degrees, with ingame force feedback set to 200% and 150% in the wingman controls. its not that heavy, yes its a bit stiffer then your regular shopping car, but its not extreme.

900 degrees for me everytime, IIRC you can lock the DFP into a girly mode with a few button presses and it gives you around 200 degrees?

i was racing on conedodgers last night, aston nat in the gtr cars, having a nice battle, i think i was in 3rd place and pretty matched with the man in front, both FXR cars, i was also pretty close, around lap 8,
we came around T1 pretty matched, got to T2 and T3 he comes in a little bit slower trying to defend and put himself wide after T2, i am up the inside, better traction, still got the left lock on, with the power down, and my girlfriend plugged a CD Player into the wall socket, we had a little power surge and the DFP spackerd up and stuck on left lock driving me into the wallillepall

i am now running single monitor again, what i used to do was adjust the monitors picture to move over, so the parts behind the plastic bezel were never shown, but i had problems, in that if i was chasing somebody and they were a little way ahead, i could not actually see there car if i was in the middle of the track, and they would only pop into view if i moved to the side, it caused a few crashes so i went back to single monitor, i would prefer the second monitor to show some kind of pit info or car stats

fun to drive IMO

Aura, if it is the driver with flames on his fxr skin, completely speared me last night at the chicane (aston nat= condodgers server)
i was following him for a good lap right up behind him, never touched him, but was constantly backing off the throttle to stay away from him, i knew he would make a mistake, and he did, so i passed him before the chicane, to which he drives straight for me and did a pretty good javelin attempt at my back quarter, protests from other drivers who were following did not seam to be noticed by any admin at the time.

you may have missed the shift points due to the "regular" noise you were expecting to be different?
i missed a few myself when i 1st started, the way i have it setup is that i can still hear the normal LFS sounds as well, rather then trying to blank them out, i have them both working together, like enhancing the sound, rather then replacing it

i am a total convert to the CSR program now
i tested it out quickly last night, and found in the FXR i couldn't hear the tyres screaching or some other noises, people don't like change, they get comfortable and when something new comes along they cry
so i thought i would give it a go, i lowered the master volume on the CSR program to 7, switched off the annoying fuel warning sound, and that was it.
did a few laps with the AI cars to see if pitspotter was still working, all fine, so i venture out onto the conedodgers server.
start from the back, first few laps i am a little sketchy, i always find my first race or so of the day is crap.
second race, i am starting from 6th on the grid (i think) anyway i REALLY start getting into the game, things are "flowing" better for me.
3rd race, i am bloody flying, second position for most of the race, there is only 2 of us with FXR`s we are smoking the other cars, i was loving it, down to T1 hard on the brakes, the brakes squeel, the engine is backfiring a little bit, BANG, BANG down the gears, drivetrain whines, halfway round the corner, power ON, turbo spooling up, drivetrain whine getting faster and faster, AWESOME.

it was quite good, i must admit, i think i would rather wait until all the cars are done by the same person, rather then getting loads of samples from other people. i found i couldn't hear the tyres screeching properly as there was loads of other noise going on :?
