I would say it's a loose connection in the power supply- try it with another power supply to see if that's where the problem is. New ones can be bought from Maplin for about £40.
Shaun: Please- keep producing movies, keep improving- but don't post them until you think you have something really special to show us. Impress us, Shaun, I want to be able to say 10/10 to you soon!
And guys, for a comparison, my ICT-literate brother is 11 and couldn't do this- he's at the "photo slideshow with music in Movie Maker" stage. And most people his age have never touched Movie Maker, or are busy playing NFS and haven't even got onto GT4 yet!
XCNuse: Thanks- sorry, I should have tried the thing first!
Shotglass: You can set intake restriction and ballast.
But my other point still stands, won't this disrupt a well-tuned track-specific setup and throw the driver off as the car will react differently to what they're used to with that setup?
Sounds good, but a couple of questions about the balancing:
- How can the cars be handicapped? Is it realistic eg ballast/restrictor plates or some GT4-style catchup thing?
- If a player has a setup for a particular track and his car then has a handicap applied when he joins a server, won't this throw the player of as the car will react and perform differently, thus making a track-specific setup useless?
Well, the AI learn the more they drive. If you did a clean install of LFS, the AI lose the knowledge they gained.
As for the cars, the sounds have been replaced. They are considered improved. It's very difficult to get synthesised sound right (listen to the drums on an 80s record and you'll see what I mean!)
My Firefox has Adblock, NoScript, DownThemAll, DownloadHelper (for YouTube videos), that thing where you get a preview of a site when you mouseover the link- and a few extra sites in the search bar.
Boring and functional, yes. But it makes MySpace usable when I must look at someone's latest CSS travesty.
Yeah, I'm sticking with the default NASCARs on my game, can't be bothered to try the mods and modded physics usually have dodgy bits (like most arrTractor mods).
I just acquired NASCAR 2003 by Papyrus and IMO it's a good game, even if it is oval racing. What I can't find out is how to open the car texture files to paint them, can anyone with NR2003 experience help me?
Also, is Superspeedway.net the only place to get car and track updates?
