I've been reading about GT5 on other sites, really funny to read people's comments on how realistic that series is. I'll admit that it does look nice, but the physics will most likely be a turn off for me. Also I don't have a PS3.
Can't get to YouTube at work, I'm going to guess that's Raffaele de Rosa's near crash though, and it was awesome. I love how he just shakes his head in disbelief when he gets back on the bike, I think he's going to need to change his pants though.
I have no hope for the physics in this game, and I doubt I'd stay interested in it for more than a couple days, but it sure does look pretty. I haven't played a Codemasters rally game in a while, I might give this one a try.
A good point. The whole SR system is making me evaluate my driving more and more now that my rating took a huge hit after getting promoted last season. I want to be aggressive and gain spots when I can but you have to know when to back off and give a guy space so he doesn't wreck into you.
It's one thing to start at the back and just ride around to increase your SR. It's another thing to start at the back and try to work your way up through the field for iRating. A couple days ago I did a modified race and a Legends race. Both races I started near the back and was picking guys off working my way up, and both times I was underneath someone, they got loose and spun down into me, nothing I could do about it. Sucks, but that's racing sometimes.
I think the whole thing is blown out of proportion by the media.
Me and my friends are planning a Swine Flu BBQ this weekend, only pork allowed on the grill. And we're going to wear those masks while we cook...can't be too safe.
Nope you're right, they said you'll be able to view numbers/logos in the paint chooser in the next update, but it doesn't work right now. Its annoying for testing purposes, that's for sure.
This is true. Probably one of my favorite "modern" games is Ikaruga. You can play through the entire game in a half hour, but its a blast to play. It's also more like an old school top down shooter, just with more modern graphics and some cool gameplay twists added. New games try too hard to go for the wow factor of fancy graphics and try to claim a long play time, and most of the time they miss out on having actual gameplay to back that stuff up.
Just thinking about Ikaruga, I think I'm going to go hook up the GameCube and play.
I haven't raced with it yet, I'm just getting promoted to C next week. I've done a little testing and it seems fun, kind of like the FOX on LFS maybe, possibly a little quicker. I'm looking forward to getting into it next season.
