I'm waiting for luaLFS to get properly checked up and then I'll do a pitboard via InSim.
Then I can finally shift+f without missing any vital information.
I would agree with a selection of rims to choose from.
Sensefully chosen rims that are both lightweight and elegant is a sign of good taste.
However most other changes, like a different looking front spoiler, should affect the car's performance noticably, which would lead to everyone choosing the same part anyway. And don't come up with the idea of 'credits', I dare you!
If there really is a problem Scawen will have to spend the 30 minutes to look up a random imaging library to include and pass the screenshot through before writing to the harddisc.
Until then we can just wait and see wether it is a problem at all.
I have a bug that is propably caused by S2.
Reproduction steps:
Start LFS 0.5V2
Go to singleplayer, Blackwood GP, select the XFG
Start a practice session
After starting, press shift+u to enter the autocross-editor
Select "Options" in the lower right corner
The screen flickers, the driver-model that should be viewable is sometimes cut in half (see first screenshot) and the car on the track can interfere with the model of the driver (second screenshot).
Use throttle and brake to incluence the flickering.
The procedure above is only *one* way to reproduce this. I had this occur to me originally on BL2 with the XRT.
The options screen works very well if I access it in a different manner (esc -> options), which leads me to believe that this is a software-internal problem.
It doesn't work for me.
I choose an artist, it plays some songs that I like, starts suggesting a song that I don't like, then suggest songs that are even further away (because I didn't like the last suggestion), which I don't like, so it suggests something even worse, repeat.
It managed to move from The Prodigy to Pop and thinks I'd like some strange emo-gothic stuff on my Depeche Mode-station.
Whatever I do, I end up telling it that I don't want to hear anything it suggests ever again. It never comes back to what I originally wanted.
I digged around a bit on the topic.
Yes, Porsche was forced to change the name of the 901, because Peugeot owns the right to vehicle names with an 0 in the middle.
However, Porsche was allowed to keep the 90* series for pure racing vehicles, because they can't be mistaken for Peugeots (who didn't build prototypes at the time).
Now Peugeot uses the name 908 because the Porsche stopped using those names for their racecars (-> RS Spyder), and thus there is no chance of confusing them.
So basically, the rule about that is: "Is it possible to confuse the names?" If yes, a lawsuit is possible.
If so, why was Porsche threatened with a lawsuit when they planned to build the 901 and why was it serious enough to cause Porsche to change the name of the vehicle even after it's presentation?
Just asking, so I understand the relation, since you seem to know.
Quick-problem analyser:
1. Is the warranty still valid?
If yes, no matter the problem, head straight for Logitech support - they're usually rather helpful.
If no, proceed to 2.
2. Does the center position switch instantaneously?
If yes, it's an electrical problem. Make sure all electrical connections outside and inside the wheel are fine. Check your WD40.
If no, proceed to 3.
3. Does the center position slowly drift aside?
If yes, it's a mechanical problem. Open the wheel and check the potentiometer of the wheel. It might be loose.
You have a Aston Historic setup. Three or four clicks and it should be a Kyoto National set. That's how I converted my Westhill set to the Aston Historic set.
Edit: New idea: I'll do Ky Nat in the FZ5, because the two cars are rather similar. On Fern Bay the LX6 blows the FZ5 away, so to keep in touch I'll try the LX6 then. If we use different cars the action is nicer.
I did some 50 laps in preparation for this event and counted on Hyperactive to basically blow me away, since his pb was quite a bit lower than my pb at the time. I hoped we would meet somewhere between his number of laps and my experience with the car to have a nice race.
In quali I somehow managed to make my last two laps a 1:52.10 and a 1:52.11, even though I didn't get lower than 1:52.4 ever before. That's how I qualified in front of Hyperactive.
In the first few laps I somehow managed to rather consistantly score high 1:52 laps even though I started with 100% fuel, which is a lot in the FZ5. But as soon as Hyperactive disconnected I completely lost it, because I didn't have anything to concentrate on.
The only mistake of the race was during the last laps when I allowed one of the GTRs to pass me on the inside of the last corner. I slightly underestimated the outside line and hit the grass, losing me some seconds.
Anyway, respect to Hyperactive for competing with me in 'my' car.
Generally a big thanks to everyone. The passing that was going on was really neat. Well done everybody.
Force always has a direction associated with it, it is a vector. Multiply a vector by -1 and witness the vector changing direction!
The absolute value (as in sqrt(x²+y²+z²)) can never be negative (as long as we're not talking about imaginary numbers). But then you're talking about the absolute value of a force. Not the force itself, which is a vector.
