Funny thing is that we started with only reverse tracks and nobody showed up There's some great reverse config's for sure and if the 'majority' wants something we'll add it of course but we must think of some ways to get to know what the majority wants first
The lap counts are set so that each race is just under 10 minute mark. More laps would be sweet, sure but only on certain conditions I think. Such a long track would be kinda boring to drive with only few racers hence I'm wondering if we could make some kind of dynamic system for this too. (more racers=more laps) I bet Shittie wouldn't like that though since he has his hands full already
We'll see. However I can up the count whenever I'm around if the majority wants it.
Since it's a game and there's two types of the blue flag situations I wonder if the rules are the same? 1. Someone started the race with others and is genuinely lapped 2. Someone joins during the race and is getting constant flag.
As you can't join a race during it in real life perhaps real life rules shouldn't apply in case 2? I for one try not to interfere in any way if I join mid race because I know how frustrating it can be to have the race outcome decided by someone who just joined and managed to slow you down just enough during the last lap or so.
In the case of a late joiner it can be. I've seen a flagged car actually overtake just about entire field and hitting them while doing it. Talk about ruining a race for the others Maybe it's just me tho, thoughts?
EDIT: all of the above is written with stcc public servers in mind.
P.S. Personally I'd like mid-race join disabled but oh well
I'm just looking for an excuse to use the XRT all the time no matter what the combo and opposition is
Might encourage others to use RB4 and XRT too, who knows. I was under the impression that you still have to be fairly competitive in the XRT to equal a win in an FXO but not sure, really.
Oh well. I suppose one could make an accurate enough guess by driving and taking notes about the accumulated points but I was hoping that someone could save me the trouble
EDIT:
Yes I know all that but it really doesn't answer the question since I doubt that the point system is linear. Even if it is one would have to know what's the last place you get points from
Wondering about points balancing...Could someone tell me what position in the XRT equals a win in the FXO points wise? (assuming that other variables stay the same)
P.S. It'd be nice if the site had more information about these things, track rotation, times and such
I would have changed it so that FXO is the only car available for silver drivers and for them only but oh well Eventually the amount of gold/platinum drivers will grow and then we're stuck with FXO's dominating the field again but I guess it helps a bit, for now, sort of Never really thought about what license's people have on the server at any given time.
In any case it's good that something's being done and it's interesting to see how this works out.
Both are good suggestions imo but I'd like separate servers more. Full field of XRT's would be just fantastic Defending some 6th place is fun only for a while and a win/podium in an FXO isn't that great either to me personally
EDIT: Points are irrelevant to me at this point, I'd just like a level playing field and good racing
I bought me a Viewsonic vx2235wm earlier. I wonder if it has the same panel as your Samsung and Andy's Acer since they all have same specs. How much did it cost btw? (got mine for 416€)
