Quote from srdsprinter :but I just have to imagine the other systems are just so tweaked and optimised....

I wish the user names were same as lfsforum names, so we could get some answers...

Knowing J Gent That'd be correct

btw he's usually on #liveforspeed, irc.gamesurge.net. (edit: on holiday atm )

Quote from Forbin :I tend to disagree, I think a lot of the numbers there are highly inflated.

I tend to disagree with the "lot".

Anyways, henrik seems to be gone atm but it'll let him him know that the site is down. Thx for noticing.

Quote from tristancliffe :Anyone who says their car is environmentally friendly is talking out of their anus.

environmentally friendly doesn't mean pollution free.

They also had a commercial where they drove in london during rush hour traffic or something like that and the exhaust gas was cleaner than the air That sounds like environmentally friendly to me.

Real this and real that. If someone builds blackwood does it make it any better?

To me it's just a matter of design, doesn't have to be built since it doesn't improve it. Hermann Tillke makes worse tracks (boring) than Eric anyway It's the same thing with cars, I doubt that someone drives MRT and RA exclusively just because theyre real?

Sarcasm aside, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the true classics (because of the design, not because they're real) though but it's not that big deal to me.

Quote from JackSun :I realise I can get a better time. I have watched some of the WR replays and used some addon tools to compare my lines but I can't see where I'm losing 7 seconds on FE Green for example.

'Analyse For Speed' will tell you that

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :I've heard this argument before and it makes no sense.Next.

You probably have because it's on hundreds of pages, here's couple:

http://www.automotiveforums.com/t272165.html
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forum ... 30193&goto=nextoldest
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-126223

It makes sense to me, there's still airflow when the throttle is closed and the bov is opened.

Quote : Think about where MAFs are located... If there's no air flow there is no fuel, pure & simple.

Where do you think it's located then? The one I'm talking about is in the airbox or directly after it. ( http://www.evilution.co.uk/info/turbo.jpg )

Quote : Thanks Tristan although apparantly some people are bored...

If this was directed at me, care to explain?

Atmospheric BOV is a bad idea if you're running standard mass airflow sensor. The engine will run rich when the throttle is closed and that can cause backfiring and even stalling because the air that was read by MAS never went in.

In such case it's definitely rice imo

I wasn't asking it for myself.

The benchmark site uses that name for the replay so could you please rename it to avoid mistakes like running wrong replay for the site, overwriting it and so on.

Oval should be 1 afaik. Imo it's the same as the list order in LFS.

I couldn't resist trying them either. I did some testing with LFS Bench and 5.11/6.1 gave me identical results. Not a big surprise though since I never had any slowdowns to begin with. So it's okay to install these if you never had any probs like me.

Yeap, "netstat" in the command prompt while refreshing will verify this.
