Yeah, I haven't played LFS in a while but I definately remember losing ffb when the message box was on screen. I don't know why you would want to have it off since its much harder to take corners without having a feel for the car, after driving with the ffb. On the straight the wheel shouldn't be shaking enough to make typing any harder.

Personally I don't think you will be taken seriously by any sponsors if you include the LFS. I mean.. 90% of the people you will approach I'm sure will have no clue about 'sim racing' and just assume you like to play around with video games often. Road America etc. So if you are planning on racing different locations, maybe inside a famous car track, then say it. (Le Mans was a good example) So good luck and hopefully you can get back to racing soon.

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but damn.. anyone tried the formula nippon mod? It feels so nice without aids, really different from any other mod in rf. You can control the rear end perfectly with the throttle on corner exit. The sounds are SO nice also, and I've had some great racing online with these. Mods like these, and tracks already released like Bahrain and Birmingham could prove that rf isn't as crap as it first appears when people take time and do things right.

Actually it just shows how ignorant you are, there's so much more to oval racing then just 'going in circles'. mistakes cost you more, you need to be consistant every lap, and hit the corners perfect, because small errors lead to 10th's or 100th's off laptime which obviously mean alot more in oval racing. And yeah, car setup is more important in oval racing, and also a HELL of a lot more advanced then road course racing, so drivers need to really know what the car is doing and also what changes to make and shit. There's also drivers in nascar who shouldn't be racing in it right now, but.. thats what money gets you.

Yeah, Hornish just had a hella fast car and there was no stopping him. Great race though, and marco did all he could without blocking and taking them both out which would have been stupid. I was hoping for michael to get his chance but was a sweet race in the end anyway.

Karting isn't scary when you race with good drivers at big races. The scary part is going to the local track with people who don't have a good sense of when others are around them, or when they are being passed. In the states we run qualifying, prefinal and final.

Karts are run on basically every major car track here in the usa. I guess it isn't very big in Europe but there's a type of karting called Road Racing, which is longer races (30-45min usually) run on car tracks like Road America, Mid Ohio, even the 2 mile daytona speedway with the infield course. But yeah, karts are the only thing I really really want in LFS.
