Quote from nmanley :It is a very entertaining watch as you EURO guys are VERY aggressive to your racing mates.

Yes, we are brutal bastards that don't take any prisoners on track :mischievo
Well not really though... This race was just more tense than most, and some unlucky incidents occured cause of bad judgement

Overtaking is really simple if you do it by the book. If you don't, then you will make a mess and the fault is yours.

Quote :
§ 03 - The lead car has always right to a corner. If two cars are alongside, the inside car has the right to the corner and the corner exit. Cars are not alongside until the front wheel is beside the opponents door.

§ 06 - Overtaking is the responsibility of the overtaking car. Do not make a pass unless it's safe to do so. Even if the car in front is slowing you down and even if the car in front is a lap or more behind.

These two rules is just about all you need to make a pass. If everyone could keep this in mind, we wouldn't have any overtaking problems.

Well... 24 hours have past and the rulings are official and posted on SCORE. Result are up and it's still VERY close
Now please... Don't have us all go trough this again. Next time, race with pitspotter active or something. It really helps, trust me

Yes, one
If people would be so kind to report the exact race time of the incident, I could include this in the email as well

Yes, I'm sure there would be an interest
It has come to my attention that roadcourse racing has grown in interest in America and leagues such as ALMS, Rolex Series and Speed World Challenge is growing really fast. Even though they can't compete with oval events in terms of audience, they are starting to draw a fair ammount of visitors to each race
SCORE Fake DTM -->> SimFIA DTM

Toady, SimFIA got the rights to the Fake DTM series and renames it to SimFIA DTM. After the series on SCORE is over and done with (Last race is Jul 4:th) there will be a one week pause, and then the new season is started on SimFIA (Jul 18:th).
Rules and procedure are just about the same, but the signup has changed. It will now be easier to see who is signed up, using what number and so on.
There are still two divisions, one European and one North American, and since I'm still admin of the series, I hope to see lot's of drivers in both divisions. Times are also the same as they have been so no change there.

Please visit SimFIA and sign up today to ensure you get a slot in your division. www.simfia.com

At this time, I'd like to thank everyone who has participated in the SCORE Fake DTM series, and made it such a huge success. Without you, the series would have been nothing and never reached the status it has now.
Special thanks goes to all the mebers of ITEK and CoRe who has been a huge help. Without those servers, nothing of all this could have been done.

I hope to see as many of you as possible on track for the last four races of SCORE Fake DTM series, and I hope to see all of you and more in the SimFIA DTM series, starting July 18:th.

The Fake DTM series has two mandatory pitstops and a written rule against pitting on the last lap. This has proven to be both fun and challengeing, and adds a lot to the over all race. You have to have some strategy when to pit, what to do in the pits and you also have to be good at pitting to stand a chance to make it to the podium.
I think no one in the series think it's odd or boring to have it like this, and franlkly, I think a lot would be lost if the mandatory pitstops wheretaken away.

I must say that the fight for the championship is above all my expectations. The top four in the European division is withing three points of each other
Little more space between the front runners in the North American division, but still it's pretty much an open deal who takes it home
Could it be better? Don't think so

Of course there is two sides, and of course I don't judge without knowing it all, or at least much enough to base judgement on. That's why I'm asking and that's why I don't accuse and don't judge... Yet

Maybe this isn't the best place to ask this but...
Being a writer for ASS, I would like to know why no info on this matter came out on the main ASS home page? If two of the more important people leave a mag and go into buisness of their own, the June issue of ASS being delayed and no one hears about it, there has to be something shady going on.
I had to write Alex and tell him people was wondering about it, and then he sent out a proper statement to the subscribers. I myself didn't know about it, which I think I should since I expect my articles, and more important the news I gather, to be published on time.

I also hear other stuff which makes me distrust this new magazine before it has even seen the light of day.

So then a server running it should be announced as a 'Slickmod Server'?

And to add to the point about smaller, less known track... If there where such a track in LFS, we'd suddenly have something to compare times and performance with from real life. Wouldn't it feel great to compare the GTR's times on Knutstorp against the times from Swedish GT and see if they match? Wouldn't it be cool to drive the TBO's around Kinnekulle Ring and compare the times set by real cars of about the same configuration? If nothing else, we'd get a refference point to compare with.

Again, only suggestions. And I have to agree on the above statement about Monao. It's a shitty track that happens to be famous, thats all. And many of the more famous tracks are really shitty. Better then to use less known tracks that are fun

I've been reading these threads about real tracks wanted in LFS for a number of times. I've stopped counting how many of them there are, and they all say the same thing. No real tracks cause of licenseing problems.
But have anyone considered the fact that there are so many smaller racing circuits in the world that might not demand any license money? I bet that some of the smaller curcuits in the world would welcome the publicity, if it was done right.
Take Sweden for example... I'm not sure how many outside of Sweden know about Karlskoga, Falkenberg, Knutstorp the even less known Kinnekulle. And I'm sure there are tracks like this in just about every country. Wouldn't it at least be possible to ask the owners of these tracks? Wouldn't this put a lid on this discussion once and for all?
Just a suggestion

I can't make the race tonight, but that shouldn't be a problem if someone on the Euro server email me a screen of the qualifiers and a screen of the finished drivers.
Hate to miss it, but I got some family stuff to attend and wont be home after 21:00 CET
