Yes, and it's a battle for positions all the way donw to 6:th place in the European division
Only 6 points between 1:st and 2:nd in the North american division, but look at the fight for third and there after
Talk about nailbiter

Well I like the prog and as long as I don't have to enter my account details, I'm happy
And since this prog doesn't require me to install .NET crap, it get's my vote

Super tool
Can you make it start LFS with your favourite InSim program as well? Like PitSpotter for example?

--- Edit ---
Oups... Didn't really read the above posts

There are quite a lot of slots left in the North American Division. Do yourselfs a favour and sign up, so that division becomes as crowded as the European
New and better forum should make it trouble free to sign up.

Have you got realplayer installed? I got this and found out that if I turned of any and all background tasks put there by realplayer, it went away. sounds silly, I know, but it helped for me.

For those not willing to pay for TrackIR, but would like to try it, you can achieve (spelling) the same effect with an ordinary cheap web cam and the software "Cam2Pan". Not as smooth, but you get the general idea, and if you got a webcam you can lock at 30 FPS no matter what, it's sufficient.

Both contain the same stuff. There are a double cause of some trouble with forum software. They should be mirrored.

Well said, and good points
But... Let's turn the problem around a little. The job for the series admin would be huge if he/she was to go trough every replay over and over again to check that every driver did what they where supposed to do. It just can't be done, unless the admin is willing to say "bye, bye" to hi/her entire life.
So... The sad truth is that the admin has to rely on other drivers to report a matter of cheating, missconduct (spelling?), bad behaviour, bad sportsmanship and general braking of the rules. In real life there are marshals all over the place that report stuff in real time, but until LFS has a feature like that, it has to be this way.

I've said it many times that I'm all for automated penalties. The old game STCC2 (if anyone rembers that) had hit detection that sent the hitting car into the pitlane for a drive trough. Very clever coding there indeed. If LFS had that, I wouldn't have to write any rules for that part, since it would take care of itself.
If LFS had a server option not to allow anyone who "telepitted" back on track for the remaining race, I wouldn't have to write rules about that either.
And if there was an off track detection like in Nascar Heat (adds 2 seconds to your laptime if you cut a corner or go wide), I wouldn't have to write rules about not cutting corners. The list is long

In the end, I'm happy that mostly anyone who enters a race is willing to try their best to follow the rules, and most do a really good job. And I must say that those who have been suject to a vote for a penalty, has shown a great deal of sportsmanship and not been angry the next race, but just kept on racing. I like that, and I hope it continues like that. And that's the whole meaning of having rules. To create a fun and "safe" enviroment for us, the diehard online racers

But... Why go trough all this trouble? Why not use a ready made ProBoard or power-forums? They work, are fast and reliable, and you do save a lot of bandwidth. The only downside as I can see it is that you can not use attachements (in the free versions), but hey, that's mostly a good thing I think IMO
Just a suggestion

It works ok in FireFox for me, but with IE6 I have to log in every time I visit the forums. It just doesn't remeber me. Deleting the cookie helped but only for a few days.

Good question, and I wish I had the answer. This is simply something I have never imagined could happen, and so there are no clear rules for how to act. I sure wish BurnOut could have his points, but I think it would cause a lot of unnessesary arguing.

Please Dygear, fix the forum please
Even the free ProBoards forum I use for SCORE works better

sure, I can do that, no problem at all.... But have you tried another browser? Maybe it is something in your setting that mess things up

My thoughts exactly. What BurnOut did was nice to the other drivers, but still... If we give him the points, we have to give a lot of points back.

We have seen windows CE, windows ME, and windows NT and variations of those for some time. Why not combine the strength from those OS's like this? Windows CE+ME+NT= Windows CEMENT

But if we all say 'Pretty Please' to Eric, he might make a little change in the pit so we could have at least teh second variation showed. To me it looks like a heck of a layout. And such a pit change could open for at least two more combos
So here is my 'Pretty Please Eric! will you at least think about editing the seocnd pit just a little? Thanks' :Handshake

Delete the cookie for that forum. I don't know why but I know of three cases that have had trouble with the cookie and deleting it helped.
