lol the tires look fairly bald, that's what gave me the impression they were coming off.
Is it me or is winter setting in kinda slow this year? I'm in the south in the US, but the temperatures are even warmer than I recall last year.. for now at least lol
Of course though I say this and it's supposed to rain / snow mix tomorrow here
friend's ex got it for him though so I'll probably get to play with it some this weekend.
I do really hate the physics keep changing between games..
That's one thing I really hate about playing the "same game" is you play one, then try to play the other and the physics just... you can't control the car anymore!
Like playing HP and then playing Most Wanted.. I kept tossing my car into the wall LOL
Still can't find anything if the streets are real or not..
For those that do have it and have played Hot Pursuit, how are the physics; anything alike? For an NFS I'm pretty happy with how Hot Pursuit feels.
Got Most Wanted in mail yesterday and started playing that... lulz.. definitely not as amazing as I once thought! (Graphically that is).. but still the #1 sold NFS game of all time.
@Bose, finally watched your stages last night, despite some funny accidents (desert run to Vegas you hit those 3 cars in same place LULZ) anyways, can't wait to see the rest of the game!
The scenery .. oh my god.. it's beautiful!
The problem with the game now is you have to drive 200 mph everywhere and have to focus on the road so much you don't get to see any of the mountains etc, it looks.. amazing.
Which is what I like about HP because it does have free roam.
I'm sorry but the NFS teams need to bring it back to the tuner scene for another game, fast cars is fun and all... but I would much rather take a cheap ass car and tune it out as opposed to driving some supercar like every other racing game.
But I do lol; it sat in garage all weekend, and I will take it to work today, and come home today, and it will be in garage until tomorrow, haha that's.. what my car is, my daily driver from work to home.
I do believe it's going up to the mountains this weekend though for Thanksgiving.. for that, I cannot wait!
Oh, when I was driving back from a small meet last Thursday night I crossed under a short bridge, which is awesome for sound reflections, so I dumped a gear and floored it for half a second. OH MY GOD that was loud! LOL!
Cop immediately caught up from behind me and sat on my tail until he realized I did it for the sound, not to go fast as I was sitting there going under the speed limit on a cruddy road.
About a minute or two later he pulls next to me, turns on his search beam (is that even legal to use or point at other drivers while driving?! I doubt it) wasn't sure what it was but it freaked me out.. Imagine driving down a road at night and being blinded from the side by a high intensity spot light. Yeah I got disoriented which was stupid. Turned it off, a few seconds later hit his warning lights (yellow lights on the sides), and drove off. I was still behind him before I had to pull onto my street, but just before doing so.
Hence why Hot Pursuit will show up at my place today so I can roam around; roam games are the best. Underground 2 is probably my 2nd favorite NFS with Most Wanted being my first. I used to love Underground 2, the sounds were awesome, the city was awesome, it was great.
I don't dislike Carbon, but the whole nighttime thing is annoying. I have Undercover but the physics were weird in that game and didn't like it, but it's okay.
But yeah, Most Wanted shows up sometime next week for my Xbox too, loved it so much on my PS2.
Also, bought Hot Pursuit for under $20 from Amazon so yeah, it's worth it now.
I don't buy new games anymore, it's to expensive, especially when I don't glue myself to my xbox for months and have no life.
I'm slightly interested in this game, only in the sense of the vast location you get to see.
Are they real roads and locations too? Like 100% real or just kinda.. similar streets with similar names or whatever.
Back in the days of N64 I was thinking the coolest game that could ever be made would be one where you could drive to streets that you know exist, or even to your front door at home.
That's what interests me. I haven't seen it or played it, but that concept of going across the country is awesome.
I wonder what that is going on with demo hosts, that seems wrong where it just flattens out? It's like possibly when the XRT was switched over to FBM, but the sharp increase kinda throws the balance off.
I'm not saying I hate dubstep, as some of it is quite good.. but songs like that?
It's obnoxious sounding.. like constant nagging by pad drums and synths.
I have optimine, that has increased my FPS a good 25-50% and that has some chunk optimization things; but for whatever reason a setting I used it wasn't to happy about me moving so quickly lol some chunks just straight up never loaded.
There was one chunk that didn't load when I first started the far lands or bust map, and I was looking around underneath the land and saw some caverns and stuff; walking around and I ****ing fell.. feel like for a good 5 seconds worth (which is a good length drop LOL!) dropped into a freakin lava pit and burned up haha I was pissed! Mostly pissed because the sun was going down and now I have no wooden blocks or a work station, I was afraid of being killed haha
The beginning.. I feel, and I like the way it goes, I wish it kept at that direction.
Then dubstep happened.. and what was a very good song.. was ruined within 1 minute's time.
like wtf?! It's just retarded reverb noise and .. junk.
I had chunks that didn't update and I seriously had found the BIGGEST seed made old mineshaft I think anyone has ever seen.. it was ****ing.. HUGE. It would've taken several hours to walk through the entire thing
Yeah, I gave up on that far lands deal since my FPS was dropping down to like 13 and just pissing me off lol.. need a much faster computer for Minecraft.
