Me on the mclaren and a poor guy on the sauber

I did some races on SO last nite. it was a free to chose server and many ppl were racing with BF1 s.But i used FO8 in most of the races and i was proud to be overtaking some BF1's.

I love the FO8, i love the engine sound, i love the braking ability of the car...

i wish there were more severs with FO8.

There should be a flag for "earth" instead of "other".I think that would express them better.(those guys who use the "other").

it looks like a good racing sim.Suspension is highly detailed on the graphics side but dunno if there's tyre dynamics along with it.

i really don't beleive it could be better than lfs.


Needs to desaturate the colors a bit too.(less saturation = more realistic)

what do you mean by pixel cars?

i think the car shouldn't be that close to the camera because it is a low-poly object.I'd use vray or mentalray with global illumination/indirect illumination to render.And maybe depth of field would do good.

Second race lap 1.

Just going into the fast chicane i saw the guys in front of me touching each other and then one of them spun.So i slowed down to find an empty space to go thru but the other drivers didn't slow down and so that's what happened.It was a complete mess.Many cars crashed each other.And some of them crashed me because they were fast and couldn't stop...

I don't know what can be done about these kind of things but what i won't do is to slow down anymore.Just run into spinning guys and find a way pushing them away.

Keiran, watch the replay and you'll see i was on your rear-left and getting ready to go tight into the corner.But you suddenly come left (i think to overtake the other guy) and i didn't have time to do anything.

Russians are very good in engineering and mechanics.that's why i was surprised with that mainframe's lag.

64 kb mainframe in 1988? are you sure? because even zx spectrum had 48 k at that time.

I don't know what it was called but a friend of mine had a car racing game which looked like a usual computer racing wheel.(think of a momo and make the back end look like a porsche front).It had its own screen. it wasn't digital but it was completely mechanical toy which you could drive.

That was in sometime around early 80's.

i don't remember that but i don't like the current full throttle start thing.

My gtr cars have a skin like this one. But i redraw the flames a bit stylish like american hot rod flames. and they come from the front wheels.
I like "flames&black background" combo. But your flames needs a bit more detail. i mean it is not neat. Maybe find high res flame pictures to use?

Today 104(one hundered four) cars crashed in a chain accident on the highway just outside of istanbul. High density fog caused this incredible chain accident...4 ppl were killed and 17 were injured. i don't have much detailed information but it is the largest accident in history ever happened i think. should i be proud that is happened in my place?

Random track is good, but i'm sure those guys from other worlds will be dominating.

I had a chance to try different combos and on about 20-25 laps i can get 2-3 seconds to wr's with a reasonable setup. Anybody tested yourself?
