That's a good point, I have considered that as well. But it could be fairly realistic. it is possible to make a 4 cyl Honda as loud and obnoxious as a Porsche racer.
I'm also thinking Bigbob means changing out certain parts that can be added or removed in the garage will make a different noise, but In the setup of the car itself, possibly not.
I know this has been suggested a few times before, but I feel like it needs to be brought up again. Sharing sounds or assigning a different sound per driver ingame is something that should be implemented. If anyone's watched a race in person, they will notice that each car sounds slightly different, even in F1. This video shows the difference between various cars, not much different than racing in LFS. The difference between both the yellow and white BMW's in this race is significant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9h4jJQyoAI
This will also fix the annoying droning of all cars revving with the same sound (notably at the countdown at the start of the race).
The sharing of sound files is nothing more than sharing a skin on LFSW, even less than 500 kb. If the sharing of the inserted sound samples is too intensive, simply sharing the parameters of the sounds could also work.
Is there an option to force the Radeon to be used on LFS via Catalyst? I'm not familiar with the program, so bear with me. I know NVidia has the option to force the discreet GPU, I'm sure AMD should too.
Still looking at the MX-6. Parents still think I'll wreck it within the first week of buying it, and won't help drive me to the place (which is a good 80 KM away). If I haven't even put a single scratch my father's 330xi, Jetta, my mother's Odyssey, or my godparents' Yaris and Corolla, then I suppose I'm fine.
I have to say it's pretty good. If you use a Non-legit copy, it drives realistically for about 10 minutes, then the wheels disappear, and the car goes flipping about.
like I said a few posts above, the bus I've been taking is usually way too crowded, or when it's not, a crazy lunatic doesn't stop laughing hysterically the whole trip.
my mother tells me to pass it up, she says it's not worth it. I haven't been working for a year, and this is what gets to me.. I had to pay tuition recently, and that left me with almost nothing.
I can't just go to the guy's place, since it's at the other side of town.
V6. My father owned a white one a decade ago, and my parents don't want me getting one, due to it being "too fast" for me or "too broken" to fix.
I also agree with your "rarity" statement. only 6 popped up on Kijiji. none on Craigslist.
I found this one the best, due to it being a post 1995+ car, it has OBDII on board, and another one a bit farther away needs a new clutch and is a 1993 (almost as old as me).
my mother was ashamed of me when I showed her the pictures. She said, "but it's all scratched! And it's purple!"
I'm looking at buying this, $1200, needs new brakes and a thermostat. I'm shamefully broke right now though, and I need my own car. Public transit is too crowded, and I can't always bike to college. I can fix this up easily, provided the parts aren't expensive.
