I have it and Radeon 4850. Very suffiecient for LFS. Newer games could do with newer hardware but my CPU is not definitely an issue. I recommend when you are looking for bang to buck.
Firstly, I think what you are doing - the efforts to making handling etc more realistic is a noble one. We get several racing "simulators" a year with new content and I am feeling indifferent every time I have tried them - the handling just isn't realistic at all. Soon I just drop them. LFS has been a simulator in the past for me from which I drew great pleasure of for several hours in a row.
Secondly, LFS hasn't had new content (and by content I mean a few tracks and a few cars) for a couple of years now. It's like screwing the prettyest model in the world. At some point it will not be exciting as the first 100 times.
Now I am not the one who wants to shout or demand new things and please don't get me wrong. That's not what I am trying to say. I respect the fact that' it is Scavier's simulator and not mine. However, I would just love it to bits if we could get a few new tracks and cars to drive on - not for free, mind you. I'd be perfectly happy to pay a lot of money for them if I knew I wasn't renting them (as in iRacing). They don't need to be perfect right away. Make them raceable now as in current S2 handling - it is perfectly cool the way it is now - few simulators can match it anyway and it would give the community immense amount of pleasure. Then work on the new tyre/handling model for a few years again - let's be honest, few have tried to make as good handling model as you are trying to do and I bet even god doesn't know how long it can take. And the better it will be the happier I will be. But I just wish there was a few new tracks to drive the cars around on.
Well, in theory prices of old goods and technologies should go down with time. IT software suffers from moral amortization of around 33%+ annually which makes an assumed inflation of 2% annually a much smaller factor.
It should be expected for a game to cost less as time goes by (see Steam for how much old games cost - not much). However, Scavier has continued the development of the game so I guess this is the main reason they have kept the price the same.
In conclusion, in theory you should expect the S1 and S2 prices to fall in the medium to long term and expect S3 to cost more than £12. Ofcourse, Scavier could make various decisions that are not based on this logic or this logic alone. The reduction in workload of Victor or the weakening of the British pound could come into play aswell... I'm just saying that don't get your hopes up on S3 costing £12 - it could easily be more (or less) and you should not state it as some kind of fact as you can't really know.
A new edit. OK, I don't know what you are trying to say here, but inflation exists on the cost and revenue side of businesses.
However, inflation does not mean that something is worth more now than it was before. It means that the value of money has gone down. So if you bought something 5 years ago for £12 and now sell it for £13 (adjusted according to 2% inflation annually) you can still by the same amount of goods as you could before because their cost has gone up aswell... But if you don't get it anyway you are not going to get it with me trying to explain it to you and you acting as an arrogant brat.

I agree but with not the overrated part. So he did bad in DTM - so what. It's not like Mika or Alesi or HHF destroyed everyone in DTM. And its not like he didn't give JPM, Hill and Trulli a good run for their money in F1. Lets not compare apples with oranges please.
For me you seem like a person who is judging an F1 driver based on the results of his brother. Or you think it is a fair comparison to compare any driver with the driver who achieved the most in F1!? I think you are incapable of unbiased observations.
