Does it also work for Logitech Formula Force Ex? The connector looks similar. I think my pedals have 2 axes

Quote from jasonmatthews :Hiya guys, just a reminder that my list of LFS'ers is being constantly updated. Please take a look and let me know if you are not on there. I am hoping in the future we can setup our own clubs and would like to start a LFS club. Maybe there will be rfactor clubs etc for us to compete against. This would be aswell as West Europe etc, I think it would add some spice to the sim

Quote from DAG00BER :why dont people just race, not cruise? to my knowledge this is a RACING sim. there are far too many cruise servers.:hypnotize

Quote from Fuse5 :Omg.
Go play TDU, please.

Imo cruising is being too favoured in LFS atm. Remove the option to go both ways on a track, and our problems would be... a lot less actual.
Can't really imagine why people buy LFS just for cruising. Waste of money in that case. There are better games for cruising and chatting. Go and play some of the NFS franchise (which is getting an addition this november, oh no :/)

I suggest you both mind your own god damn business.

I also think everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But if you have an online sim and haven't tried it online then. That's a bit weird. If you can't find the button (that apparently everyone else found) to go online and use that as an argument why the sim sucks, then that's just ridiculous.

Again, I believe people who don't want to rent these tracks and cars have a total right to their opinion. Noone is arguing that. It's the reasons used that are argued and lets be honest. He didn't try playing online in an online sim. Cause he couldn't be arsed to find the button in a months time. Even that's fine, I guess... But coming here in front of everyone and saying "I'm ignorant and proud of it" is just dumb.

Quote from tristancliffe :You can think that if you like. But I only have two cars to play with, and neither are very good in my opinion, so I can't judge too much from it. I think it feels nice, but until I drive a racing car in it (and I can't afford that at the moment) I can't make a fair judgement. Maybe when I have more spare cash and more spare time, and more urge to race online I'll give it another go. Hopefully by then they'll have reduced the ridiculous subscription fees a bit too.

I know what online play is like. I don't need to try online play. Assuming that the netcode is at least as good as LFSs then I know EXACTLY what to expect in that regard. I buy a racing sim solely on the realism of the physics, and as I said I can't judge that with the two shite cars you get, and I can't justify the money of buying a proper car.

For me the experience is not EXACTLY like in LFS. It's different. And in a good way. For me personally, that is...

Quote from tristancliffe :And? No, I never went online. I actually don't know how. And I don't understand all the rating bullshit. And I never understood the stuff on the HUD overlay either that I think has something to do with ratings.

But why do I have to go online to decide it doesn't offer anything that is worth the money they want for it.

Sounds to me you never even wanted to give it a fair go

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I really hope I get an invite, because I am getting kind of sick of the people online in LFS that just ignore you and take the same lines even if a car is in their way. From what I have read iracing has a very strict safety rating, and people don't want to risk making contact with other cars.

Things still happen. People are still human. Sometimes there is brain fade. You can't help it.

Quote from Gabkicks :nope, no weather. I am wondering how far iRacing will go with content. It would be nice if we could see some sort of plan on what and when features would be released, but no developer's really done that very well.

Just look at the track list for all planned tracks. It's all very American focused. If they run out of American tracks, I'm sure they'll expand to European tracks for further cash flows.

I've been trying to run Lowes but I'm ultra uncompetitive there. Today I was running again and people were again passing me on the straight. So it finally came to me. Me it wasn't my setup, maybe it wasn't me, maybe it was the pedals. And of course I looked for the pedal indicator and it was at 85-90% ((((( So I've been running like this all the time?? No wonder people always pass me on the straights ((((

I recalibrated the pedals. Hopefully it'll be OK, and my laptimes will improve by 2 sec They did at Lowes...

Quote from Jertje :It was me who nudged you there, when I was just poking you a bit that lap I noticed that I had a lot less understeer, and my acceleration point was a bit sooner than you there, my lack of attention did the rest. Pretty funny though; I've been t-boned at near full-speed with no effect on the controls, but that tiny nudge busted your suspension good then?

Set is attached, it's a bit twitchy every once in a while, especially coming out of Abbey and when braking hard, but it's all very manageable and the tire-wear seems alright for a 25 lap race. - I'm not actually sure if it's my butchered version or Alan's original, but it's a good basis either way and much better than the default set.

I know it was you. Just didn't want to mention it to everyone. :P

The amount of oversteer I had in that corner was ridiculous... Possibly 1 sec slower through there.
Thanks for the set. Will download it when at home. Btw, I entered you as friend, so there is a good chance we'll see each other again

Quote from Jertje :I'm using Alan Daly's set. Well, I butchered it a bit and randomly clicked some suspension setting to loosen it up a bit, it's worked out alright, but in the end when it comes to setups I'm just a monkey trying to understand the grand scheme of things. :>

Just came out of an amazing race though... actually only 8 drivers started and all of them quit by lap 5 or so, me and playlife remained and had some fun for a while I guess... but there's only so much fun you can have with 2 people on Silverstone ;p

yeah, where did everyone go!?!? You owned me ofcourse

Could I try your set btw?

Funny thing the radicals suspension is very tender. Someone nudged me from behind in Luffield an I spun. From that I had such suspension damage that I had to hold the wheel to right in order to go straight :/

Quote from Crommi :Radical is just unbelievable, it's just so rewarding to drive on the limit and makes awesome racing too. Just finished a race on 2nd position and clocked a new Silverstone PB of 01:47.784

As soon as the downloading completes, I'm gonna join you

Quote from Crommi :
For radical, drop rear wing by 1-2 clicks, increase rear tire pressure, increase rear bump damping and soften front suspension just a bit.

That's all Chinese for me. Never been a setup man. Could you send it to me? [email protected] I would appreciate it a great deal

EDIT: Is that a Solstice set ?
EDIT2: OK, I see it's a legends set

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I got a set for late models from some forum, but everybody is going by me on the front straight like I'm standing still.

Quote from Jertje :If you guys are missing a certain sense of community btw, I just popped into the West Europe chat and there were a couple of guys in there, they told me they pop in at around 20:00 GMT and just have a chat, and try a few races together. I think I'll certainly pop in every day and have a look what's up. Most of them use voice-chat, so it seems to be a nice initiative to get a nice community-feel going with some off-race chatter :>

Feel free to pop in I guess!

Lol, I'm lumped together with the rest of the world - Africa, Australia, Oceania, Asia, South America, East-Europe and Russia...
