They are not organised. You know your solution is not a real solution but an excuse.
Forced cockpit view is a limitation. You take away a limitation, you add more options. If you switch on a limitation then you are taking away options. It's really that simple.
The dirty words were directed at Blackout mainly for his mocking post. They have no business with you.
We all know what is more realistic and what is less realistic, but that's not the point here. You are selfishly demanding to downgrade the experience of 7500 (25%*30000) people because they have an unquantifiable advantage over you. Let's be honest, the advantage is not that big. And make no mistake about it, you are pushing your view on the minority... Demanding a change that will drastically affect how thousands of players experience LFS so that your gaming experience could improve by 0,2%. I can understand you views and I can sympathise with them but seeing your jealousy and egoism on display here, you mocking people with your silly comparisons of some pigeons and black windows makes me want to say to you a big F*CK YOU!
I don't own a Track IR myself, but I vote for maximum realism. In road car you get to look like you get in a real road car. In a race car you get to look like you get in a real race car, etc... If track IR users have it a bit better than others, so be it. They paid a lot of money for that gadget so they should get their moneys worth. As long as its realistic, I wont mind. It's not like they are driving 1 second a lap faster because of it. The edge, if any, will be not worth bickering about.
This thread is pure speculation on my part just to keep the rumors rolling and take some attention way from the tragedy that has struck the Broke Dorifto Society.
Whilst browsing the LFS page I noticed new pictures of the tracks. With South City I noticed smth strange (see below picture)
With red color I have highlighted a whole section of a never before track area (see red line on above picture). A link to this area existed before patch X11 (see green circle #1). However, green circle #2 indicates a section that has been modified with the recent changes to SC track. Here is a closer look at it:
Arrow #1 indicates curbstones that were removed with the latest patches. There used to be curbstones but there aren't any anymore.
Arrow #2 indicates new curb. Question: why would you have a curb like that? The curb strip should stop where the track stops and not go further to the other unused road. The only reason to put a curb like that is if you were going to use it.
Arrow #3 indicates dark grey area - there is no textures there.
Another angle of the same place:
Please note on the above picture that catch fencing continues to the unused road, but stops after a short while. Please also note there is no real scenery there, although there is a few buildings. Question: why would you have catch fencing there ? Only tracks have catch fencing. Access roads do not have it. Ofcourse there is a chance its there to keep the pedestrians/fans off the track, but in that case you would have the top part of the fence the other way - to make it harder to climb over, not easier.
My speculative conclusion: They are considering another layout for SC. However, they have decided not to do it just now, but somewhere down the line. Possibly even not do it - maybe plans will change/plans have already changed. Just in case they have changed the track curbing to suit the new track if it should come along. As it is likely the PB's and hotlaps will be reset at this stage, changing the curbs now prevents the SC hot laps being reset at a later time when the new track is possibly included and this change would have to be made - changing this curbs characteristics and affecting all laptimes using this section of the track.
The track itself seems to be already layed down as you can see from the map, but there is no scenery (buildings or textures) for the area - it has not been developed.
Just lookin at the Westhill track description on liveforspeed.com:
"Westhill
In West-England you find the 5.2 kms long Westhill circuit. The track, situated in a farming area, provides fast and wide turns, spiced up with two interesting chicanes and the widest and most beautiful finish-straight in S2 with a "no look" turn 1"
I never heard this term "no look". Shouldn't it be "blind"?
Here's a shot of the McLaren steering wheel with cursor roll-over function. Notice 3 dials for differential and 1 dial for lowest available gear. (if you select "4" then you cant change to a gear lower than fourth). Also notice menu scroll buttons (green) and "enter" button (black with white cross)
After you launch LFSRelax, then screens will start displaying "fuel" and "drivers behind". Please see attachment. Is it possible to do so that they are displayed only at race?
