I guess aero will get really complex if you go into details, but actually aero is a lot simpler to simulate than for example tires. That's why we had flying simulators 20 years before racing sims started to get even remotely realistic.
Funny how the tables have turned over the years. Few years ago the US guys were complaining how LFS was overly expensive for them due to strong british pounds against the US dollar.
They put too much vegetation and stuff in. The track inside a city setting does not seem realistic either. I get a very tech demo type of feel from this, basically it looks like they tried to cram everything they could in it. Which makes it completely unrealistic to be a real life track.
Are you like 2,5m tall? :o That view looks to be crazy high.
Anyway, LFS doesn't really fake anything here. The inside car model is the same as the outside model. The view is what you get is what you get. The only way to make the bonnet more visible to the inside would mean the actual bonnet line on the model would need to be raised.
Also the mirror is in the correct position if you do actual measurements from a real car. The limitations on it's position are actually there because it would otherwise go through the windshield.
A lot of the perceived wrongness in the positions and visibility are there because in real life you can move your head to look around and your eyes kind of "zoom" in to the road ahead. It's like when you drive a sports car with a very low seat, first you think you can't see anything out of it, but after you get used to the view you can see fine. In games the view is static.
Also you actually don't often see the bonnet in real life either (unless you are crazy tall I guess), especially in newer cars. Maybe you drive an older car and it has less sloping bonnet or the bonnet is higher over the windshield edge.
You understood his meaning wrong. It's not about spending money. It's about 3D monitors being a gimmick. Yeah, they have some 3D effect, but you are still looking at a monitor.
Oculus Rift is much more immersive and it's only 300usd for the dev kit (supposedly even less for the upcoming consumer version). You would be hard pressed to find any decent 3D monitor for that price and what you would end up is much worse. So Oculus Rift is not only more immersive and "more 3D", it's also a better deal money wise.
I think it's important to the devs that the AI is reasonably playable, because there are people who want to race against the AI. But then again there is always a larger percentage of players who play against human players and since there is only one developer only one thing can be improved at once.
Your Internet connection probably isn't fast enough.
Also I know 14 is an age where you easily get excited, but please try to calm down a bit when writing your posts. There isn't any rush and you won't miss anything if you spend a bit more time on using proper punctuation and sentence structures. People usually respond more positively and help you more when they can more easily make sense of what you are trying to say.
This occasionally comes up and the result is always the same. You or anyone else can't really do anything about it. The only thing you can do is take this as a form of flattery.
Yes, it's a bit more expensive than Logitechs offerings and that should be taken in to account when deciding for a wheel. But it's still not Frex or ECCI money.
S2 already has speed at the wheels. S1 is an old version and there are not going be anymore updates to it. It was only updated so it can be played on modern computers and the changes to the master server.
