Quote from Tungsten :stretch the window over the 3 screens do not work?

Stretching over 3 screens does not work. Two screens work on the same GPU so stretching works, but for 3 screens you need two GPUs, which makes things more difficult.

Not really needed. You can download mods to change your plates if you want.

Quote from Liquid Li0n :I have softTH and also the latest nvidia drivers, maybe someone can paste his config file here aswell or PM it to me

Here is mine.
It's for the 1.09 rc1 version. Get it here if you haven't already.

Sidescreen resolution is set to 1280x1024.
I also changed uploadMethod to d3d (default is blit) and forceAffinity to 1 (multi-core support, default 0). Otherwise it has the default settings.

What I think is that:

1. You should make more descriptive titles for your threads, so that people wouldn't have to come in just to find out what it is about
2. You should consider buying LFS, there is already a 4WD car.
3. If you still want to make car suggestions make them here: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=1917

Quote from ChrisColeman :Just didn't know it was against ctra TOS until after I was banned.

You didn't read the rules?

And you seriously thought that masquerading as CTRA official was OK?

It says:

"I drink it because of totally different reasons"

It won't work with Vista.

LFS works fine on Vista 64-bit.

Quote from Scawen :There seems to be some problems with Vista. It is no problem in XP.

In Vista the driver model was changed. I guess that causes some problems with spanning mode, or gpu manufacturers simply cant be bothered in re-coding the feature.

I think it would be a great addition.

But as said. It's theoretically possible, but it would require a lot of work. I am not sure how it works with DirextX 8 (thats what LFS uses). In DX9 it's relatively easy to get working (so you can put images on the other screen). But it would probably require syncing and other stuff, that might not be obvious before you start to do it, to make it work properly.

There isn't one because no one has made one
S60v5 is still relatively new so not a lot of apps for it yet. I don't know if there was/is a app for S60v3 either.

You don't need to unlock again when installing a patch. And for those rare cases when you do, the devs will give everyone an extra unlock.

The info should be in docs/InSim.txt.

Extending the desktop is not enough. You need to set it so that you only see one monitor in Windows. It's called horizontal span in the driver settings I think.

Quote from AndroidXP :E: Besides that, can't you simply set SoftTH to two-monitor mode?

SoftTH doesn't support that.

The setting does not seem to be in cfg.txt

It's in data/misc/views.bin, but thats a binary file so you can't edit it outside LFS.
Your only option is to delete that file and LFS will create a new one. You will have to redo all the customization to your views.

Quote from Znabb :A picture says more than a 100 words.
First pic is LFS in windowed mode,
second pic is LFS in full screen mode.

Oh you are using SoftTH without the third monitor? I now understand your problem.

Quote from tristancliffe :Both I think. If you can't see them, it's hard to try and click on them unless your mouse pointer is allowed to go off the screen.

The menu shouldn't go off screen in any case though. Even if you set more monitors than you have LFS is still rendered with the same resolution and everything should be visible.

Quote from Znabb :My problem is that the filelds where i write these settings are outside my monitor so I can't change them.

You don't see them or you can't click on them?

Yeah. There is that. That's why we haven't seen a real track before.

Quote from Crashgate3 :Those bitching about real life tracks being a waste of time and fictional tracks are better if they're made to the same standard - have you ever tried to make a track for a sim?

I don't understand how it would be a waste of time. It probably takes less time to laser scan a track and do the necessary adjustments to make it suitable for a game than it is to design and build a fantasy track from scratch.
