Yeah, I always wanted more object too. Again, it might seem trivial on the first glance but right off the bat questions arise which kinds of objects will be most useful -- very debatable topic in essence I think it might deserve a separate thread where we could present and discuss all ideas in a comprehensive way
And given that Eric is busy redoing all the tracks for new graphics, it would be a bit impolite to ask for that right now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Trivial doesn't mean easy. And for that matter, trivial idea might not be easy to implement, sure I might missed many potential loopholes that might appear
It's just my thinking was: we already have modeller and technically can load any model through car mod system and make it a layout object...
Anyway, it's something I been dreaming for a long time about, was just too excited to ask. Sorry!
Was there any discussion about allowing user models for custom layout editor? It seems trivial (compared to car mods or user submitted tracks) to implement, yet opens a lot of fun possibilities.
2.0.8-rc1 + Print simple (configurable per LFS server) welcome message to every connected player + Make typed commands invisible to everybody - (Hopefully) fix a case where typing !top <tyre_type> will not properly work in some situations - Fix situation where paging backwards through !log would abruptly fail on getting to the start of the log - Print short message notifying about !help command if user enters nonexistant command - Fix cancelling of admin /end and /restart commands during practice - For now provide only 64bit version builds for both supported platforms, as even some linux distributions have switched to not have i686 architecture on by default - Users might need to install msvc runtime for windows, it's possible that this approach will fix some strange bugs on some systems which could have made the program unusable altogether
By the way, I have a question about how do we judge...
If I report somebody for switching his side of the road more than once while defending, how much of penalty can that yeild (and I'm talking about the case where somebody could do it multiple times during the race, though with different people)?
And do we have to have full car or half of the car parallel to have right for room into turn?
Also, on the A21 track (round 2), we have this long back straight full of bends... Does each bend refresh your right to change the side of the road on defence?
...
I watched R1 replay and I am kinda disappointed that nobody report anyone.. Next race, probably, less people come, AND more of those who come gonna get mad af
If you guys don't start reporting this stuff, I feel like I gonna go and do it myself
It just shows time countdown so you don't have to check how much time is left before your event.
It's best run from the same PC the server is running from so that you don't use up network to send updated text every second...
Usage: edit config.ini, put server commands you want executed on timer end in timeout_commands.txt and run

Sources are in lfstimer_src.zip, you need to put in some boost libs to build it... I was learning programming back then so if you're programmer you better off go and write something from scratch
My IP is 178.167.84.*, I get the "time out" error.
UPD: trying to ping works fine, but opeing the web site still doesn't

You can do same in blender aswell, and I guess many other 3d editors. You can apply 3d textures and many other things. That's how people made their own ambient light textures, for example.
Now a question: how did you make fenders look so round, or is the picture just that small enough?
I remember I wanted to try to remake the 3d model to have more polygons at the fenders, but ended up dropping that due to difficulties trying to keep UV layout in place.
I think it would be really cool thing to do on Reddit, or do some other kind of voting on the questions with some poll system... Myself I got like 10+ questions
I think it can be kinda refreshing experience for both the community and devs.
I need more info about your problem. What is the os? What kind of VM, if any? Is there any error message from OS? (On Linux you can try enabling core dumps to get more info or just run the app from inside gdb, on Windows there should be crash address reported somewhere) What do log files look like right after the crash?
For now I can only guess...
Is there a database file already on the disk?
Did it save database already before the crash and then failed to do that again?
Do you get empty database file after the crash?
If there is nothing you can tell, you can atleast drop me all the log files and databases files, so I try to investigate the problem myself...
Well, to me current situation is reasonable enough. You should make layouts the way it is impossible to drive over illegal objects. With concrete surfaces you don't get the OBH as long as you only touch them with tyres. (scratching is too complex case, and to me it doesnt really matter too much)
Can't pass this by, the textures and the way they applied is just great. The whole look is great given how little of the modern features are in use. It is so good that I almost feel worried that by the time we get graphical improvements Eric will be tired to do any more content
Sounds acceptable to me. It is not so perfect, because with layouts there won't be any bulletproof solution of clean laps detection on layouts which use concrete objects... But it's okay and it is definitely not worse than before.
