I'd say that you are correct

For me it is like first you go do say 20 or 40 laps on race setup to figure out the line and get the feel of the track. The turns which have fairly long straights are all mostly equal in technique. Then after some hotlaps on hotlap set you watch WR replay and learn from it: what he does differently, and why? You must try to figure out why he does it differently, so that you learn something, not just remember the particular sequence of brakes/steering/throttling and next track your guesses might be better!

Sometimes you want late or early apex depending on setup and downforce (later apex if you exit to a long straight for example).

Sometimes there are bunch of a turns/chikanes when you have some options and sometimes if you are limited in practice time you stick to the line you are stable on, not the fastest you saw in WR replay.

Sometimes you want to have straight brake lines (say if you must save tyres for any reason), but ofcourse they might not be the fastest.

Try this site or google more, you should try different stuff until you get the picture clear enough. http://www.drivingfast.net I found it quite interesting to read some time back.

PS this post was meant to be a short one

Subj. It can bring new life to league racing if you make something like Slick R2.5 tyre for formulas which last just for 30 minutes of racing.

These days you need a fairly long race to make people change tyres so we don't see any strategy play very often -- just in endurance.

And it is very simple to do!

OutGauge is only sent by user's instance to the app connected to it, so you need to connect to every user so that he can create a proxy which changes this packet

Current progress. If someone can continue the work adding high quality logos (preferably in vector editor) I be thankful.

Daniel, does your positions list widget shows relative on-track positions or race positions? For me it is more important to be able to know if there is lapping car behind me on track and which one exactly

Also I am kinda interested if it is possible to know current tyre wear in any way (even if you need to make stop and go for it)...

I do want to do that sooner or later and publish for free ofcourse. Was kinda a joke but I am not against getting money for that still

Is it after turn 4? Very nice spot to flip if you brake too late or inconsistently.

I guess safety car will be out many times this race? Let's hope I won't lose connection this time and get to the finish.

This will change your life to play only on Blackwood tracks ... and this will add lots of new cars too ^^ ... not yet the vw I agree, but for this you will need S1 anyway

On some combos the data might be wrong. For example XRT@KY2.

Anyway I don't need the gadget if it counts only by hardcoded stuff... If you add more widgets, can you make us chose? Because currently I use only 9.

Can do for $5 :P

You can also use data from the current stint(s):

laps_left = current_fuel / (used_fuel / laps_done)

You should update it every lap, not constantly. The value will be changing every lap if you go some long stint. It can be useful in a situation when someone tries to save some fuel to skip a pit stop.

I guess you can supply 2 widgets - one based on the hardcoded data and another from the calculations.

So, during the restart and some time further lapped car doesn't have to leave racing line to facilitate lapper's pass, right? Then lapped car has a chance to create a gap and get rid of LFS'es "Blue flag" message...

Am I getting it right?

And I guess that at any time it is disallowed for lapped car to do any defencive moves in front of lapper's car... I read rules but this stuff is not clear for me somehow

I might have said that already, but IMO it is completely wrong not to do anything with lapped cars during safety car period. You should either let lapped cars pass the field, or lapping cars pass the lapped ones during the safety car period.

To;Dr let us help u

There are lots of talented guys around this forum, not saying how much of them gone already. LFS could gain a lot if content development was made more open to enthusiasts, while being supervised by devs. Spending decades on polygons adjusting and textures mapping for decades seems kinda uneffective.

You can try XRG with ABS(need to change the setup in garage), or set "brake help" at Driver setting in game.
