Quote from CaptainVegas :OK I found that my TH8RS gearshift works with autoclutch on - how do i get it to recognize my clutch from G27 pedals? The clutch worked fine when I used the G27 shifter.

Make sure that clutch set to "axis" in "Controls" settings. Then go to "Axes / FF"(which is around the center of that screen) and set the corresponding axe to clutch by pressing "Clutch" and then the proper axe to the right.

Quote from Iginla :and still including that Autocross oval is surprising me, its not a really good track and shouldnt be inclucded IMO, and I dont find it surprising that it didnt gather much of drivers this year.

I'm still livid at EVERY SINGLE DRIVER who had a negative reaction as soon as I loaded the track and then left without explaining why they felt the way they did. You had AT LEAST TEN WEEKS to tell us what you thought of it, but you didn't, so that's why it was included. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE gave a SINGLE GOOD EXPLANATION of why they didn't like it. It was used in past seasons with reasonably decent reviews, so I had no idea that anyone would have grief about it.

Also, for the new Westhill to be used, a test patch with it will have to come out no later than Sunday, November 2nd. This will allow us enough time to see if it works first of all with no major issues, then change over. If Monday comes around, the current Westhill will be used no matter what.

From what I heard, they either don't have anything enough serious to complain about (rules are same for everyone, so complaining would look bad for them), or they feel overfrustrated of how things come in the race and that has not much to do with organisers.

Nothing you can do about grid getting smaller really. The points system is really nice for me as a backmarker, so I have no idea.

I heard a lot of complains about the wind... In my opinion it should be forecastable for the race like "wind is either north or north-west, 5-10 m/s), otherwise it is a gamble.

The harder it is to finish, the less people you get in the end, so wind didn't make it better in that aspect imo.

My plans may vary in close months so I can't provide any useful info.

Quote from dekojester :A decision will be made in the next couple days of when, if at all, to reschedule Round 6. If it is rescheduled, the confirmations thread will be reopened. If not, the confirmations thread will be treated as standard and those who did not respond will have that tallied against them.

In my opinion you should penalize those who didn't respond already, or am I missed here?

And on the other hand you should not penalize people for rescheduled round confirmations if it is rescheduled at earlier date than round7. Because some people might actually get online only the days scheduled initially in the calendar.

Quote from Shotglass :anybody know how to fix problems with the mouse not being able to reach everywhere on screen when running lfs on the ocluls at 2560*1440?

Is it oversampling stuff?

There was similar problem: https://www.lfs.net/forum/post/1870640#post1870640

I was meaning the opposite - they want weight transfer to start even earlier.

You can always organize one. Just create a topic here https://www.lfs.net/forum/22-Leagues-%26-Events mentioning car/track/laps/date/time and server (you can do just Multiplayer => Start new host) and you're good

I'd consider that a bug still, because when you do SHIFT+U it doesn't make sense anymore as you move camera.

As a programmer, I'd find that really hard to trust

Does it have something to do with the kind of programmer you are, or the type of programming is done around?

Quote from Eclipsed :It can,but it's too close for a decent FOV and it has fixed axis (the view is static to car).
Comparision with real life is not very good,as in sim you don't get any g-forces on body to feel how car moves,so I need to see it. I'm not that high skilled racer as you are,so I need some help, sue me! :P

You can use radar from LFSLazy

The proper (and ofcourse painful) solution is to do something that suggested here:

Edit: this just might help. Might not

If you are true than I expect some more stuff from racing aspects -- ability to limit number of tyres you can use during the whole race weekend (practice/qual/race), some car parts falling off after contacts making track unsafe (and ofcourse requiring people to fix the cars or retire, not just go further with smashed wings like now). And so on ^^

Quote from S.E.T.H :
...
the best way to go through a corner fast is to hit the apex (mostly) that will give you the widest angle, allowing you to carry more speed through a corner.
...

Generally it is correct, but I remember that when I was comparing my trajectory with faster guys I found that sometimes people go for a little narrower trajectory in the turns. And they were faster. I couldn't figure out why.

Then after some time I found it out (I hope). They were turning in earlier, very smooth but their steering was increasing to the very apex and on the exit they could throttle earlier and probably more efficient, so that their narrow exit ended up with meeting the outside of the turn because of counter-steering needed to balance the car on throttle.

Such turns enters are needed because of delayed weight transfer. If you start to turn say 1 meeter earlier than geometrical circle line suggests you trajectory becomes narrower, but your outer side of the car gets more load so you have probably more speed and traction through the apex.

Sometimes it can help and sometimes not however.
