After the first five races of the World TBO Championship Series the championship comes down to the final race of the season. The Short Course 150 will take the green flag at 16:50 GMT on Sunday, December 16, 2012. Following this event, the championship will be awarded to Joe Holmes, Nikifor Dakovic, or Isaac Price. All other drivers have been eliminated from the championship chase.

Battling for the lead on the first lap of the Westhill 207 Championship leaders Nikifor Dakovic and Isaac Price made contact that lost Nikifor multiple positions and time, and caused enough damage to force Isaac Price to pit.

We have released a new version of LFS with a much improved multiplayer system. While using the same physics as 0.6B, it provides a much smoother, more reliable and interactive online experience. In previous versions there were often delays and lags on busy servers, but the new one works in a completely different way. We are still working on the new tyre physics and additional content, but had to take some time out from that because some hackers found a way to go online with no user name.

If you follow Formula One - and if you have an interest in simracing, you probably do, to some extend - you may have heard the news of young Finnish prodigy Valtteri Bottas racing for Williams F1 in 2013. Bottas' name might still be obscure to F1 circles, but his reputation is great in the junior racing world, where he has taken many prestigious titles since his car racing career kicked off in 2007.

A more unknown part of Valtteri's recent past is his short lived interest in the Live For Speed simulator.

The Westhill 207 has been moved back by two hours in order to avoid conflict with the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix which was also scheduled to start at 16:00 GMT. Obviously the FIA will not move their race, so we at Realistic NASCAR has moved ours. Qualifying for the Westhill 207 is scheduled to start at 18:00 GMT which should allow all of our competitors and viewers to get their fill of the conclusion of the 2012 Formula 1 season and move on over to sim-racing.tv or Realistic NASCAR Server and join in on the semi-final round of our hotly contested championship.

The FIA GT1 World Championship might be gone, but the Genuine Racing GT1 Challenge returns for its 2nd season of GTR sprint racing with 7 events visiting a number of very diverse tracks over the course of its season. To ensure all cars have an equal chance in the championship the FZR has been performance balanced to be more equal with the other 2 cars available. As in the previous season the league will consist of seven 1 hour long races with a single-file flying start and a mandatory pitstop. There will be a driver's championship and, as promised after the Round 2 of last season, also a team's championship going along with it.

South City 150 Begins Second Half of 2012 Season

At the half way point of the World TBO Championship Series's 2012 campaign the points standing are lead by Nikifor Dakovic by 61 points over Isaac Price - who won the Blackwood 200- and 104 over Joe Holmes who missed the Blackwood 200 three weeks ago and lost the points lead in doing so. The series has seen three different winners, from three different race teams in its first three races. Joe Holmes dominated the Kyoto 225 in his number 36, My3id Gaming, XRT.

GenR Feuerdrache has marked himself as the clear favorite to win the S2 Season 21 title after the series reached the halfway point at Westhill International rev. Feuerdrache has won four out of six races so far. He did so by dominating two events and taking the maximum points so far, but was beaten in the second round at Fern Bay Gold where v\Maddee and rgs077 both took a victory. Feuerdrache is clearly ahead in the championship but as the OWRL drops the points of the worst event result, other drivers may still catch up in the standing in the second half of the season.

Last year's Blackwood 200 was such a success last year that we have decided to return the event unchanged in the same place in the schedule. The 2012 Blackwood 200 is round 3 once again, and will take place on Sunday beginning at 16:00 GMT. Last year, a late race pass by Julien Schein on Joe Holmes on the outside in turn 3 was voted as the league race pass of 2011 by members of the LFSforum. Julien Schein would go on to win that race over Holmes by just over a second. This event takes place on the high speed Blackwood GP Track, the most popular track in Live For Speed.

This Saturday, the highly anticipated Live For Slicks series will finally begin! For those who don't know what this series is about, then let us explain: Live For Slicks is a brainchild by Revolutionary Racing (Kings brothers and Rui Pinto), and it consists in picking up the most exciting yet underrated class - TBO - and adding slick tyres to it, giving the series a closer feel to the Touring Cars of nowadays, providing the same close, high-contact racing but now with the extra grip of racing-purpose slicks!

On September 29th, 2012, Angry Angus Racing will race a special pink skin in the season finale of the GT2 World Series by New Dimension Racing. The skin is designed to raise awareness for the 23,000 Canadians and the nearly 1.5 million people worldwide who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

Sunday evening at 20.30 CET we have the 1st race our 10th season..
This race will be held at Fern Bay green in reverse configuration (FE2R)
Car to drive this first race is the MRT.
We have 4 races of 10 laps with forced pitstop !!

29 September will be the start of a new S2 Season in the Open Wheel Racing League. Once more the popular series returns, this time using thee formula cars (FBM, FOX and FO8) over the course of the six events that make up the season. Races are bi-weekly on Saturdays with the championship hopefully being decided at the final round on 8 December.

The season uses each of the three cars for two rounds in succession, one at a regular LFS track and one at an open layout.

Next Saturday the 15th of September, we will head to BL1 for our first test round. Anyone is welcome to come, even if you're not signed up. You do, however, need to confirm for the event in the Confirmations thread.

Do keep in mind that R1 tyres are only allowed for Qualifying. For the race you can feel free to use any tyre compound from R2 to R4. Hell, you can go crazy with those compounds. But please don't forget to give us some feedback out of your tyre choices after the race, as it is very important for us to understand the slick tyres' behaviour with the TBO group.

If days start shortening and the kids are all back to school.in Europe this means only one thing ...A new Liveforspeed.be season is on it's way .And this time it is a special one as we start and celebrate our 10th Season !!!!
So we are very proud we could keep it up this long. But there are reasons for that..
And this is because we do have a good reputation of clean races.No fooling around, as those racers are banned on the spot !
We also have our Safety Car procedure to keep a high number of racers on track and bring back the action.

The ETCC league is a Large league setup to get teams together and compet for the ETCC title. We hope that this league will bring the best LFS drivers and teams together, so people have fun and get involved with other teams on LFS. The league event will start in October, there will be 6 races before Christmas when we will have a break, come back half way through January to finish the last 10 races of the league.
