The 18th season of OWRL's S2 league has just reached half way point. The league, running in the first half of 2011 visit LFS' 6 venues in 6 different events, using the FOX, the FBM and the FO8 for 2 rounds each.

So far the championship has been dominated by 3id J.Lehikoinen, who clinched 5 wins out of 6 races. The Finn isn't very far away from his 2nd OWRL S2 title. Meanwhile, Playerzone Italia tops the teams' standings.

The pre-qualifying for round 4 will be open this saturday at 15.00 UTC. The session will end tuesday the 5th at 20.00 UTC.

This means you have 4 days to put in your fastest lap on our server. It's not allowed to gain any unfair advantage while doing your laps on our server. If we find out any suspicious activities you will be banned for the remainder of this season. Everyone can join this pre-qualifying, also if you haven't participated in the previous rounds or season.

The third round of Apex Cup season 2 was held on Friday the 25th of March at the oldschool circuit Blackwood GP reversed.

Qualifying was extremely close with only a 0.72 gap between the first 20 drivers on the grid. In the end it was R.v.Buren from team ineX Racing 2 who took the pole position with a time of 1:22.92, only 0.10 slower than the current World Record. J.Holmes from ineX Racing took the second spot on the grid with a time of 1:22.95, while his teammate S.Cattell was only 0.03 slower in 3rd position.

The marathon race planned for the 2011th 04. 17. 19:00 hrs.

The second round of Apex Cup season 2 was held Friday the 11th at the tropical circuit Fern Bay Black with the Formula XR.

Most drivers decided to qualify on the harder R2 compound this race, which gave them the chance to do multiple laps in a row on one of the longest (6.6km) circuits this season. It was T.Nogiec from CoRe Racing who took the pole position in his second flying lap with a time of 2:17.81. J.Lehikoinen from My3id Gaming 2 was the only one that also managed to get into the 17's, with a time of 2:17.90. Behind him it was J.Basford and N.Ðakovic from My3id Gaming who took the third and fourth place on the starting grid.

The 2011 season will be all about simplicity and, as with all previous seasons run here at the OLFSL, there will be a season theme. The theme this year is: no frills, all thrills. What this basically means is that there is no gimmick, no special task which must be performed, no additional goal to each race, other than good old honest, seat of the pants, close, intense, fast, fun and friendly, racing!

The opening round of the 2011 Ligue FR took part on Wednesday 23th February. Edgar, Aerox (pool A) and Yann (pool B) are the first winners.

Two weeks ago, in Aston North, with the FXO, there was the 3° race of the LFS Italian Champs.

After one hour race, the winner was Daniel Fiorin (Fiore), followed from Giulio Graziano (Enkidu) and Michele Campini (michele0676).
With this race was finished the FWD Trophy (S01&UF1, AS2&XFG, AS7&FXO) and the winner is Michele Campini (michele0676), in second place Giulio Graziano (Enkidu), in third place Antonio Conte (okre).

The first round of Apex Cup season 2 was held Friday the 25th at the technical circuit South City Long with the TBO class.

Most drivers were going for the FXO Turbo with 3% restriction, in our pre-qualifying it showed that it was slightly faster compared to the XRT and RB4.

With almost 100 signups for our second season we have decided to run a pre-qualifiying system. This means you have 4 days to put in your fastest lap on our server.

There are no lap or car (model)restrictions. This means you can qualify in all 3 cars, your fastest time will count in the end. The server stats will be reset tomorrow (saturday 19th) @ 15.00 UTC, from this moment everyone has 4 days to put in their fastest time. The server stats will close tuesday the 22th @ 20.00 UTC.

The Open Wheel Racing League announces its next S2 Season starting this month. S2 Season 18 will bring you the best open wheel racing in Live For Speed using a variety of formula cars. Once more, all drivers take part in the same competition to fight for the championship in one of LFS longest standing leagues. This season will see drivers deal with the Formula XR for the first two races, then get ready for close action in the Formula BMW in the middle section and jumping in the Formula V8 to decide the championship.

This week the Masters of Endurance circus rolled into the venerable Aston Grand Prix circuit for the series' annual 24-hour race. The mid-season cancellation of the GT0 class meant that several teams swapped into new classes for this round; ineX Racing, nFinity eSports Racing, and Team ev0» all swapped from GT0 to GT1, while spdoRacing moved their GT0 entry to GT2. A poll was conducted among the MoE teams regarding how to assign points to swapped teams, and it was decided to match these teams' points totals with those of the team with the corresponding points position in their new class.

The FXO Turbo will have 3% airtake resctriction for the first round of season 2.
