Xcite | Fireball wins inaugural FBM Trophy

The final round of the FBM Trophy has not seen any big shake-ups in the championship standings, making Xcite | Fireball the winner of OWRL's first ever FBM-only championship. Fireball's win came as a surprise to many, as he did not had the outright pace of some of the other competitors. But consistent top 5 finishes and one win meant that he could held off charges by [SR] Howie and n1 J.Lehikoinen.

It was about the top four in the championship right from the start at the final round of South City Classic rev.

Hörenbaum wins the last race before summer break

A big challenge was waiting for the drivers before the summer break. On the Fern Bay Black circuit there’s a fine line between driving on or over the limit, the cars are under heavy load as well, requesting every bit of attention by the drivers. We also could invite „Xcite Dragon Racing“, who had a great debut in qualifying.

Both drivers made it into the second qualifying. But shortly after it has started Nelson Marques, contender for the championship had to his session after oversteering his slightly damaged car. Sascha Riegler, driver for Xcite Dragon Racing, took pole-position in front of spdos Carten Hörenbaum by just 0.11 seconds.

Sad news regarding the [CAD] Destruction Derby League

Due to disagreements within the [CAD] team, the first season of the [CAD] Destruction Derby League has currently been put on a hiatus. The [CAD] team are incredibly sorry if anyone who had registered for the league was looking forward to racing in it, but unforeseen circumstances with certain members of the team resulted in the league being put in this situation. There are currently no plans for the remaining [CAD] team members to restart the league. Again, we seriously apologise to all those drivers who had registered for the league and were really going to enjoy racing in the league, which was planned to take place from August to October.

Third win for Wisniewski this season

This track is well-known to the drivers but still new to them, because unlike the pre-season drivers are now allowed to use the traction control, a gift considering the amount of turns on this track. That doesn't mean the race was going to be easy.

It already began in the first qualifying, when Pedro Marques drove a new personal best that was good for ninth but bad for Damon Ryder, who was now runnning eleventh and still on a fast lap. But Sascha Zimmermann was relieved when Ryder crossed the line without making it into the top ten. Going into the second part everything was straight forward.

Early on in the session, Patric Papenfuss (karkar) of Fragmaster Racing set fastest time, which stood until about a third of the way in, when Jeff Garry (Skydiver173) set a new pole time, running four laps of 36.96 seconds each.

Getting bored of just racing around and around without even witnessing a massive crash or someone pulling off an amazing stunt? Well then, the [Chaos ADdicted] ([CAD]) Destruction Derby server is proud to present its first Destruction Derby League, which will include the mentioned things! Starting in August, this TBO (FXO/RB4/XRT) league will be sure to attract those who prefer the satisfaction of either giving a destroyer of a hit or hitting a ramp and doing 12 rolls and landing it (a bit far fetched but you get the idea!)
