S2 Season 16 to start 20 February

The Open Wheel Racing League will host the next Division A/B competition starting this month. Start tuning your Formula V8's, XR's and BMW's in preparation for S2 Season 16. It starts 20 February at Kyoto National rev and ends 8 May when the 6th round at Aston Historic decides the champions. The season uses the familiar and proven division format. New this season is that Div A sign up is open with the Div A licensed drivers to be the first to get the open spots in case the server is full. Div A will also use the same point system as Formula 1 in 2010.

IHR will organise its second event on 20 / February / 2010.

The 2010 GT Amateur league moved to Japan for round two at the Kyoto GP track (with the Boothy chicane), a more open and long circuit in contrast to Blackwood but still with many difficult corners to test the drivers. Qualifying saw the 29 teams trying to ensure they stayed clear of the marker posts at the new chicane and the final corner, otherwise those laps would be invalid. Xcite Racing's Brunzel steered his FZR GT2 around such dangers to take pole position, with a healthy half-second advantage. Alongside on the front row would be Serbian Chromed Pistons, with the guest team of My3id Gaming behind.

We're happy to announce you that Baltic Cup has opened for second year. Everyone from Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) may join racing in the league and stand for their country. The qualify for the next upcoming race is open. Fern Bay Green Reverse is the difficulty last prelude before the 24hours Aston mainevent starts. We expect now at Fernbay Green a lower participation. Some fast and very skilled teams, some who like these older tracks as a tribute to S1 or some well placed teams in this team competition has joined the qualify.

International Front Wheel Drive (FWD) Crap boxes IFCL for short. This league is run in Live For Speed, a racing simulator. The car of choice for the league is the UF1This league tries to bring drivers from all experience groups together to have a great time, whether it’s from seasoned racing veteran to first time rookie drivers.

The league is ran over 5 rounds in 4 different environments and track configurations, weather its from a fully sealed track, to a rally cross circuit which combines both road and dirt.

Now that all the festivities are out of the way,
we are ready to take our place at the race seat !!
After the open races it is again time for the serious work.

February is for the XFR. VW Scirocco seems to remain only a dream. Second year for the Liveforspeed funniest league: easy and clear rules, fast and fair racers: these are the reasons of the success of our league!

Sign ups for the TBO Challenge and Road Sport Cup have opened today, marking the return for both series after a year long absence. The TBO Challenge has been moved from last seasons Sunday slot into an evening slot on a Saturday, while the Road Sport Cup retains its Thursday night slot, both events starting at 7pm GMT (8pm CET - 9pm EET)A broadcast is also expected to run on the TBO Challenge event, with highlights from the last Road Sport Cup event. LFSCART starts into its next season: Season 2010 features 11 Events starting in April. At 9 of those Events LFSCART is the headliner. It also will be the first season to see short track action with an Autocross Short Track race and so, LFSCART will have at least 2 Oval track venues. Consistency wins. That is the conclusion of the OWRL MRT Cup 2009/10. Xcite K. Egloff did not had the speed to win either the sprint or main race in the final round of the cup, but unlike the other big hitters he kept his car on track at all times, was content to finish on the podium in both races and that was enough to win the title.

Before the final round four candidates for the title had emerged. Reigning Div A champion RAPTOR | Chris had the lead in the standings but did not make the final round, so he was sure to lose it. Second in the championship was Xcite K.

The first season of the International XFGTi Championship has just ended. It consisted of 12 races speaded over 6 rounds, which took part in November and December, around 5 different venues of Live For Speed. A strong level was to be found in the championship, with grids of an average of 24 cars at each race, and 11 ex or current MoE/IGTC drivers present in the championship.

On the third day of Christmas, the Open Wheel Racing League gave to me… a new edition of the OWRL MRT cup! Starting 27 December, the annual tradition starts at Blackwood GP using a special layout. The drivers will content for the coveted MRT Cup over three rounds. This year the full competition can be driven with a S1 license. The other two tracks we will race at are South City Chicane and Fern Bay Gold rev.

The OWRL, which started in 2004 as a MRT only league, goes back to its early days.

Alternative.AXLE3D with an outstanding victory!
Alternative.AXLE3D won the 12hours endurance race with three laps in front of n!faculty. Within a perfect race, a perfect set, great performance and a very focused drivertream they reached after 441 laps the finish line! n!faculty has had in serveral situtations either more difficulties as awaited. The second place was the best and maximum result after this long raceday. [TDRT] entered podium in their first DoP 2010 race on third place. Close to 100 laps [TDRT] has had the lead in this race! A very impressive access in their well prepared FXR!

RAPTOR | Chris wins OWRL Div A title in dominating fashion

OWRL S2 Season 15 has delivered two first-time champions in the OWRL. RAPTOR | Chris scored 4 victories on way to the Div A title and [SR] FireDragon went for glory in Div B by finishing in the top 2 almost every race he took part in. Both division A and B finished in such way that in both series the winning driver could afford to miss the final event of the season and still come out on top of the standings. Whereas FireDragon already got the title after five rounds, Chris´ his teammate Intre still had a mathematical chance until after the final race of the season.
