Good question. The difference between what i would expect them to do & what they would actually do would be profound. i.e. they could look in there every time they pass on patrol (which is fairly often) & tell anyone who is parked to get lost, what will actually happen would be absolute jack sh!t.

My local police are worse than useless, jeez i could tell a few stories about how pathetic they are.
@ mrogers that sounds absolutely vile. (worse than festival toilets even)
Disgusting Humans

On returning from the shed where i work today i found a pile of human excrement! :sour: in the entrance to the drive. This entrance is located next to a busy main road. I was absolutely disgusted that an adult would do such a thing in someones private entrance (no jokes pls).

It has happened before so i am very tempted to report this disgusting being to the local police.

Quote from Dajmin :The removal of a spinal cord is definitely a little too much to get away with a 15

That reminds me of the Mortal Kombat death moves, back in my Amiga days.
They also used the word 'FATALITY' which is now a brand of PC stuff.

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :The fled from Somalia, they ****ing deserve to "have it easy"

Care to explain why? Do you think the UK should be treated as a big refugee camp with bottomless pockets. I can never understand why neighboring countries dont help out when people are fleeing?. Do you think all Vietnamese should "have it easy" or the Bosnians/Serbs. Maybe we should invite half the world to stay on our tiny little island for free.

Quote from AlienT. :Are you ok there Ant? Just feeling a bit random at the moment mate?

Unfortunately im not but i will explain as it looks a bit odd .
There was a comment above "tossing into walls" or something, so it was supposed to be a joke 'walls' being ice cream. Guess my humor was on different level at that point in time.

I also just had the crappest friday night ever. Went to pick up a mazda track day car from Burton & when i got there the kid started messing me around after three attempts of completing the deal as agreed on ebay he started bullsh!ting me, i got real mad & gave him a serious verbal ear bending as i had just made a 2hour train journey to pick the car up. Damn idiot time waster.

Quote from DaveWS :Anyone planning on doing the hosted and broadcast race this weekend at Silverstone in the Corvette?

I would have done it except for i dont have Silverstone & ive already spent more than i wanted to on iRacing as it is. Any other track & i would have been there.
I hope they run another one some time. Anyways good luck tomorrow looks like you'll be mixing it with the top guys.

makes me sick, jobless freeloaders!
people who turn up in the Uk with nothing should be put in makeshift tent villages until they find gainful employment. We owe them nothing.

If i went to Samalia & said i got no job, no home, gime, gime. They would laugh at me & then leave me to starve. This stupid arse country is such a soft touch anyone in the whole world can just turn up & get housed & fed, ****ing joke.

Thats quite a sad story, have you ever just taken it to an old airfield/waste ground & had a blast?
Damn SVA test is what makes Kit cars so darn expensive. (if you need a road legal one)

People have given examples above, do they not count?

need more?

Yes i have read all the examples so far & they are either bike engines, race thoroughbred (extremely rare & expensive) or turbo's, rotary does not count as the stats say in line 4.

I am left wondering where the devs plucked these figures from.

An example of the type of engines you might find in a Caterham style kit car would be Zetec, 4a-ge, K-series all commonly available engines in europe. Toyota did do a 1.4vvt which might come close but i have yet to see a kit car with of those in it.

Quote from jibber :Why not? My car has a 2.0 engine and 240hp.

I wish people would stop saying 'why not?' around here. Why not what?
So, name a 1.3 car engine that puts out anywhere near 140bhp?

Quote from MadCat360 :There's a Fiat 500 GT racer that has 360 HP out of it's 1.4. It's turboed, but I bet if you took the turbo off it'd still be over 200.

People dont tend to put specialist engines in these things, they are almost always common easily available engines.

ive just noticed something about the LX4 engine specs.

Engine:
1.3 litre inline 4
Power:
105 kW (140bhp) @ 8212 rpm
Torque:
131 Nm (97 lbft) @ 6917 rpm

A 1.3 car engine with 140bhp?? Even a well tuned Suzuki swift engine would struggle to achieve 140bhp.
Mika Salo to join NASCAR in 2010

Quote :Mika Salo is on course to take part in next year’s NASCAR Nationwide Series after completing a successful first test in a stock car last week.
The veteran of 109 grand prix starts, who has raced GTs since 2003, tested a Sprint Cup-spec Toyota Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing at New Smyrna Raceway in Florida last week along with fellow Ex-Toyota F1 man Jarno Trulli.

He believes that the test can be a springboard to a full season in NASCAR’s second-tier series in 2010.

“Two things were new to me: driving a big NASCAR and driving on an oval,” the 42-year-old Finn told AUTOSPORT. “It felt comfortable in the car from the beginning and I could feel the changes we made to the car.

“It’s all about the money. If my sponsors are happy, it will happen. The plan is to learn the racing and learn the tracks in Nationwide and then move up to the Sprint Cup in 2011.”

Quote from ajp71 :Randomly lowering a car with springs of unknown stiffness is a totally pointless exercise, bound to make things worse.

If his car handles like a boat now, how would stiffer springs make it worse?

True they may have negative effects on damping/rebound & such like but overall stiffening it up improves the handling.

Quote from NitroNitrous :Why not a LX6

Because i value my life! . Seriously tho my first attempt @ a self built car where i attached the calipers & plumbed in the brakes.
I'd rather have less power to start with, get the car properly setup so it stops & corners (well), then i will increase the size/output of the engine.
