I just tried it with my cheap-ass Mirai 22" TN panel. There probably was some distortion at the top, but nothing that would bother me - I don't do any professional image editing anyway. In regular desktop use it definitely will not bother me, and the light bleeding at the top and bottom of the monitor... well, it would only matter in some movies and games, and that's when the action is in the center of the screen anyway. The light bleeding is certainly noticeable in dark conditions, but switching from a rather good 19" CRT it certainly doesn't bother me.

I was just searching for something like this and this thread came up... what I'd want is something like a message after each lap, stating my litres/100km figure.

Can the exact distance travelled by the car be measured conveniently, or would this have to use a preset length of a track configuration? Who knows, I even might want to dig into this myself...

I wish I could've afforded to upgrade my whole system now - which may sound strange given that I was offering a X800 XT for free...

I'm pretty much stuck with an AGP machine for now, so I had to go for the best AGP GPU I could find. The PCIE version would've been considerably cheaper though.

Well, Athlon 64 @ 2430mhz and a X1950 PRO run most games pretty well, and LFS looks superb at 1680x1050 4XAA 16XAF on a 22" widescreen LCD

Ok, Deggis was a man and said he doesn't really need it, since his CPU is the bottleneck and he'll change everything in his computer in the coming summer anyway... so now it would be going to Blackout who has a very similar CPU.

I think this was a bad idea to begin with, because nobody _needs_ a Radeon X800XT for Live for Speed. It's still up for grabs though.

And I'm not that rich really - I just bought a X1950 Pro and I have nothing to do with the old X800 XT.

I have a spare Club 3D Radeon X800XT AGP, 256MB memory and Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer attached. I have the original box, cables etc. Never been overclocked and I've never had any problems with it. I've played LFS at 1680x1050 4XAA 16XAF.

I'm giving it away IF someone comes up with a good enough reason why you deserve it

Those of us who have computers from the 21st century would like to have the 32 shadows while racing as well.

I think both race and replay shadow settings should be adjustable.

Has anyone tried driving/racing with a really ridiculous setup? Like using the black Momo's shifter for throttle/brake and the pedals for steering

I quit about 2½ weeks ago, I was pissed off and aggressive for a couple of days but that was pretty much it. From about 10 cigs a day to zero without nicotine patches or anything like that.
