Need advice people...the poor old Swifty is nearing the end of its days...no metal left underneath to weld any more patches to...brakes need complete replacement...shox on the way out...a bit of an oil leak (or ten!)...so now going to the big scrapyard in the sky
SO.....as a replacement I have my eye on THIS little beauty...what does people think? Price about right? A good car?...What???
The person who misses her most is MAX CLIFFORD!! If it wasn't for him, we would not have heard 10% of the stuff we did about her, and if wasn't for her, he would have to find another cash-cow to milk!
I would also have had a bit more respect for her if she had given half of the millions she made from her over-publicised death to a cancer charity instead of most going to Max Clifford and the rest going to her jailbird hubby....just think, with a tiny bit of luck there might even be some left over for her kids when they are old enough to spend it!
I tried Ubuntu...when I realised that it didn't want to run GTA4 or CoD or even LFS...I gave up and went back to windoze... (BTW..Windoze 7 is the canines vernaculars!)
Might be tempted again by Linux IF they ever get it to support mainstream games "out of the box"
Adds new perspective to the old saying: "You cant polish a turd!"
Cossie was nice, would have preferred seeing THAT in as much detail...
In any case, if that guy has that much time to waste, he could always tart up my Swifty....Heaven knows it NEEDS something doing to it! (for free, of course!)
@OP: If you like the Multiplayer aspect of CoD4 but cant stand the l337 kiddies fragging you as soon as you connect...(Happens to me ALL the time :/)...grab hold of PezBOT 007p (google it )...easy to set up, and gives you some pretty good bots to fight against..they are good, but not THAT good!
[OFF TOPIC]
Sure...navigate to the setup.exe on the DVD, Right-click -> Properties -> Compatibility mode -> Run as: WIN VISTA x(whatever)
AND TURN BLOODY UAC OFF!!!!
Worked for me
(So far, 100% success rate for installing my games in Win 7...LFS, GTA4, CoD4 & 5, UT3, Fallout 3, HL2 + Portal + Ep1 + Ep2, FM2009, TDU, RBR...all running sweet and correct )
For those in the UK that cant wait until November, and want a totally immersive experience with fantastic graphics, full surround sound, excellent 'rag-doll' physics, and 100% realism, try THIS:
AA/RAC/Green Flag Membership card in case YOU get stuck...and a spare pack of cigarettes so you can have a smoke while you laugh at the poor sucker who is too tight to pay £30 odd per year for peace of mind.
Just send in a piccy of yourself wearing a white sheet with a white pointy hat on, carrying a burning cross...along with a photocopy of you BNP membership card.
That will get you into Thames Valley Police no problem!
A series of convictions for dangerous driving will also help..especially if you can prove that these offences took place while driving to-from work.
I happen to live a few miles away from the big TVP HQ..snd have to pass it every day on my way to just about anywhere.. Not ONE of the ar$eholes in there have any respect for anybody!
Because it causes memory leaks as big as the Grand Canyon..
PS...How MANY cores do you recommend..I already have 4!! along with 6 Gb RAM, so that should be enough. Will try recording to a different HD though, as well as turning the settings down from 30 fps to 25. and half size instead of full size...I must admit that on my last try, a 1 min 'film' weighed in at over 2 Gb !!
Tried doing a video with xfire..but for some reason (xfire crap maybe?) the vid slowed my framerate down while recording, and looked even worse when it played...might try fraps sometime
Could be true...No noticeable problems yet..played for about 90 mins solid last night after installing the patch...doesnt seem to be ENOUGH of an improvement to warrant the long wait though
WAIT FOR WINDOWS 7...It is so good I am trying to get it to have my babiez!!
If you cant wait, grab one with no OS and install Win 7 beta yourself.
Bladeys Patented OS Performance Benchmark: 1) Open Winrar. 2) Select 300 Mb file (ANY 300Mb file will do!) 3) Select "Add to archive"...but try splitting it into 100 BYTE parts... 4) Wait...and see whether the computer happily dumps zillions of *.part files on your desktop, or dies waving the Blue Flag of Death.
