Schumacher is overrated. Although not even as close to as overrated as Vettel.

Lastor Desperado only beats people cos he wrecks 'em off teh track. Biggest example is Perez, any time they get close on track there's tension in the air because Maldonado knows Perez has a bigger value than he does.

Maldonado is a strange enigma, he has the potential to be genuinely quick and win championships but then (not so much these days actually) he just goes awol and his alter ego the wreckmeister comes out and he decides to turn people or 'lose control' conveniently into the side of someone because he can't accept being passed or w/e.

Quote from Töki (HUN) :How come I'm not surprised you found something to moan about yet again...

I'm suprised too. Not enough flying vaginas?

Anyway, I actually thought the sound was a bit too... clear. Sounded like the car was in a studio instead of an open airfield circuit.

Quote from CrAZySkyPimp :Hilarious to see two guys who can barely be competitive in a game they played a game for a decade comment about competitiveness while racing in the lowest splits

I've played LFS competitively for all of 1year actually and when everyone else around you, even teh guys only a few tenths quicker have been playing it for something like 7+years I'd say to be even a second off top pace in a short space of a time was actually very commendable.

In regards to iRacing I don't give a shit. I'd rather spend hours of my time pulling my retina from my eye with a spoon.

SR is more luck based than anything else until you get out of anything below div2 and iRating means absolutely jack.

If I put time to iRacing, I could very well challenge some of iRacings 'best' drivers. I did TFR's V8S and CTS-V championship and was less than a second slower than my team-mate Rens Broekman, who lets not beat around the bush, is probably the best V8SC driver in iRacing and I didn't even practice for it that much.

You look at a guys results where he has managed to finish, not a mans iRating, to judge his ability.

The higher the iRating just means they're super quick in general or (which is mostly the case) they don't play any other GAME, never mind any other sim, and race one series in which they are comfortable, get into a decent split of guys that don't wreck and finish above their starting number.

iRacing is the silliest thing to put time into, because in 6months they change the tyre model in which the whole physic of the car changes, not just tyre behaviour. Also your qualy lap entails crawling out of the pits around the track at a about 2mph so you don't get +5c into your tyres or you get no grip.

Pls Teemu DO NOT MAKE ME CONTINUE!

As I said. Mostly 40 year old men.

I'd rather race against people at the top of their game. instead of people who can barely configure their own graphics settings.

Quote from Mustafur :
People want to make comparisons but when drivers like Hamilton get wacked by Rosberg anything can happen.

Why are you such an ignorant arse?

Hamilton hasn't been 'wacked' by Rosberg at all. They've been basically the same. The difference is luck has come through for Nico, but not for Lewis. Had Lewis' tyre not gone at Silverstone, they'd be a win a piece and Hamilton would still have more poles.

So why not think before you speak?

Quote from Stig209 :Speaking of RBR Conspiracy against Webber is as much true as Ferrari's conspiracy to help Alonso in the DWC by ruining Felipe's race every time he's ahead/close to Fernando...

Well the difference is Massa's status in Ferrari is far from a 'conspiracy' because they are open about it. Which I applaud.

Quote from Mustafur :Drivers championship is the media presence which in tern is good for sponsors, Constructors is still the bread and butter though.

You just contradicted yourself. Media coverage these days is what makes money. The prize money from the FIA/FOM for a constructors championship will be 10times less than the money made from a WDC victory.

iracing is just a simple case of people playing it because they find themselves doing well with no effort, but they don't actually realise that's because the 99% of other players are 40+year old men.

Quote from DejaVu :Drivers championship is meaningless to constructors,

Not at all, Constructors are basically 50% of a drivers championship effort, if not more. Every WDC is just half of a constructors championship.

Quote from tristancliffe :Of course there is. Not in the paddle, perhaps (although I wouldn't put it past the better teams. I know I'd try to engineer feel into them if I had their money), but Vettel still has feel - via the sound of the engine, and the rate of acceleration, and the chattering of the tyres. He can still use the clutch and the throttle to fine tune the start. It isn't 100% just releasing paddles blindly.

You have two clutch paddles and a computer. The right foot stays firmly down otherwise what is the point doing a clutch bite procedure?

You have two clutches between standing still and actually racing. There surely cannot be a manipulative feel as you suggest.

There's no such thing as 'feel' in modern F1 cars interms of start procedure, surely you of all people know that.

Well I don't know about a conspiracy, I just know that Vettel has gotten all of the Red Bull fortunes in his favour.

Quote from CSF :Okay lets do that:

2009:

Vettel - 2 Mech Retirements (Hungary and Europe)

Webber - 1 Mech Retirement (Singapore)

2010:

Vettel - 2 Mech Retirements (Australia and Korea)

Webber - 0 Mech Retirements!

2011:

Vettel - 1 Mech Retirement (Abu Dhabi)

Webber - 0 Mech Retirements!

2012:

Vettel - 2 Mech Retirements (Europe and Italy)

Webber - 1 Mech Retirement (USA)

2013

Vettel - 1 Mech Retirement (GBR)

Webber - 0 Mech Retirements!

Since 2009

Vettel 7 Mech Retirements

Webber 2 Mech Retirements

Ho hum, must be a conspiracy against Vettel.

You're listing mechanical only. Pretty much every race where Webber didn't win the team gaffed one of his pitstops.

At least every other race they go full spastic on a Webber a pitstop, and shamefully for them, that's not even an exaggeration...

Quote from IsaacPrice :Webber doesn't really have significantly worse luck than Vettel.

Look at Vettels retirements compared to Webbers in the same team. Then subtract the retirements of Vettels that were his own fault and you're left with a million retirements that were all not Webbers own doing.
