So tell me, why should I go to your forum, when I already have an account here? Do DEV's post more relevant info on your forum? Is it interconnected with LFS World?
I don't mean to discourage you, but I don't see your point.
Just a little update for you guys:
- I still play LFS this way (in high priority) since the thread was made without a single issue
- as for the uTorrent comments: uTorrent might cause internet lag, which I don't care about because I don't play online that much. But uTorrent might cause system lags when reading/writing files from/to disk for example
- if you don't give LFS realtime priority, your other processes will be still fine (emails are comming, ICQ works, uTorrent downloads gay porn etc.)
I however one tried this with Half Life 2 and although the game ran smoothly, it didn't react to mouse and kb inputs.
In LFS, running in higher/high priority eliminates system lag (game doesn't stutter, which happened to me even during replays before).
The cost of S2. I don't count my G25 because I bought it to play Solitaire, but found out later that it's quite good for LFS too, where the steering wheel finally comes quite handy.
Arnold Schwarzenegger. Best bodybuilder of his era (possibly all eras), very entertaining movie star and an accomplished politician. I wish I had the drive for success as him...I would break so many hotlap world records :P
I'm not a pro at this but from my experience with encoding video files for my mobile phone I know that the framerate doesn't influence the final file size (maybe a few % up or down). But bitrate does. Sorry but I'm too lazy to explain this.
Beg all you want, it won't have any effect. Scawen has said himself that he has unsubscribed from this thread. I believe that the rest of the team did so as well and I'm considering doing the same. This thread is in it's approx. 20th iteration and leads absolutely nowhere. Enjoy!
I almost fell off of a bridge I didn't see down to a river I didn't expect. Let me tell you that having your rear left wheel dangling in the air will wake you up.
I also had a minor crash with my GF's car. I changed lane before an intersection and when I noticed the red light I slammed on the brakes. The poor guy behind me bumped into me. Although the practice here is that if you are crashed from behind, it's the other guy's fault, but being and imbecile, I took the blame, paid a small fine (the policeman was probably in a good mood), paid for the repairs on my GF's car (bent plastic bumper and ruptured exhaust), nothing major. The funniest part was when my GF's dad was randomly walking by - I hate explaining shit.
I have a possibility of buying an iPhone 4 via official Apple Store (online) and have the phone sent to Austria (where my father works and can pick it up for me). Or at least it seems like it is possible to do so.
Question:
Will it be possible to use that phone over here in Slovakia? The phone will be unlocked, not contracted, simply a fully paid iPhone original. I believe it will (disregard the Micro SIM format, it's a "non-issue").
Question numéro deux:
Will it be later possible to update the iOS to a version, that contains slovak language? (at least for the quick text input dictionary, I don't need the slovak interface)
Question numéro trois:
What type of electrical wall outlets do you Brits use? 110V? 230V? You know, I might not always charge my phone from the USB.
At first, I wanted to point out your incredible ignorance, but then I realized the exact opposite. You actually know every single person who has ever bought an iPhone or a Ferrari and their reason for that matter. Congratulations
From the protection point of view, you are absolutely right. I just can't imagine Arnold riding that Harley Davidson in a racing overall, but then again, he is the terminator I was asking because of the "image" thing, not the "safety" thing. What is some good looking protective gear for that kind of motorcycles? Having a bike-ride with friends while wearing a racing suit and a full helmet seems a bit odd.
This thread is very relevant to my interests. If you don't mind, I'd hijack a little and ask: What protective gear do you recommend for choppers and touring bikes, as sports bikes aren't my cup of tea (as you british guys put it ).
Because of my crappy connection, I only race online very occasionaly, but when I do, I tend to be quite slower than the rest of the pack. I drive clean, let others overtake me, I don't clog up the turns and I don't block drivers, with or without the blue flag. But I am still slower and all the other racers have to take more care than if I weren't there. Am I a safe driver then?
PS: I usually end up on the podium just because I don't crash and get crashed others. They crash among themselves, hehe
I don't even use the profiler. Had more problems with it than without. I just installed the drivers, plugged in the wheel, fired up LFS and configured some buttons and off we go. The same experience on XP and 7.
I used profiler to make my wheel work with Richard Burns Rally, although I couldn't get the FFB to work. I never used profiler since, LFS works fine without it for me. Thank you.
What else motivates you then, if not enthusiasm, when you are working for free? Nobody has that much time on their hands that they can afford to work for others without getting anything from it for themselves.
