How about going a step further and stretching the springs that you've previously shortened to their original length? For some firm suspension, you know

2 (edit, 3 actually) things:

1) If the chain jumps from one cog to another, then you have a misaligned derailleur.

2) If the chain "slips" as in you pedal and skip half a turn, your chain is loose. Go to some bike shop to have the chain fixed/replaced.

3) If the same thing happens as in 2), you could have some of the chain-links fused together by either insufficient lubrication or a simple defect. Lube those 2 links and make them "movable" again or go to your bike shop and have the chain fixed/replaced.

And sorry for using some weird terminology, but English is not my native language. I tried though, good luck.

The clutch is analog, so there is that "sliding" area as you call it.
If you release the clutch very quickly with low revs (and your gears are short enough), the car will "stutter" a bit, the revs will jump up and down a little (almost like in a real car) and then it'll go. If your gears are too long, you'll just stall. It's not as well made as in RBR, but it's quite OK.

Hypothetically, it could be possible when using an external (non-LFS) speech-to-text converter. Windows has such a thing built-in AFAIK.

I believe you can find the number of S1/S2 licences on LFSWorld (I don't use it so I'm not sure) and I think you can also find a daily/weekluy/monthly graph of new licences there for even more precise info.

The cost of S1 and S2 is also known.

Take inflation into equation and you can calculate the money made from LFS by yourself although don't ask me for the magical formula.

I have been studying french for 8 years both at my high school and at my university.

However, the studies are over and I don't want to forget all that I've learned. I'm watching movies in french, having conversations with french-speaking people etc.

Can you please recommend some good and entertaining web sites in french? I'm thinking of stuff like AVGN, ThatGuyWithTheGlasses, Top Gear, maybe some discussion forums (like this one), some gaming sites maybe, news sites...anything I'd read with interest.

It can be text but I prefer videos with spoken word...and please don't point me to youtube. I hate to search without knowing what I'm looking for.

I've never heard of this one, but I always wondered how does the transmission lever behind the steering wheel work? Is it a manual or automatic? How are the gears (or modes) positioned?

I learned some new techniques, improved my laptimes somewhat and tried different combos, which was fun, surprisingly.

OK, I've got an update on the situation:

The monitor works, however only after I close and then open the notebook lid. It changes my external monitor resolution from its native 1920x1200 to 1024x768 and the internal LCD display show the screen 4 times in a mozaic.

The bottom of each of these 4 screens is also somewhat distorted. I cannot change the resolution nor the refresh rate to any higher than 1024x768x60Hz.

Both the internal and external screens are cloned and I no more cannot change this without restarting the computer.

I am using Windows 7 Professional 32-bit and nVidia go7300. I have tried both original nVidia drivers and Omega drivers to no success.

I also cannot get to BIOS during boot...well I can, but I can't see shit!

Oh and to Zipppy: The warranty ran out one or two years ago and the backlight works just fine. The screen in itself is OK, there must be a problem in the connection or in the graphics card I guess.

Any ideas please?
