Final Fantasy S3

Hi everyone.

I'd like to do a little experiment with those, who are interested in helping me with it. I'd like you to write a little fantasy story about you playing LFS S3. What was it like (in your fantasy) racing online? Or hotlapping? Just write a few lines of your imaginary race around the S3 tracks in S3 cars, or, if possible, post a replay You can write about losing a wheel in a crash caused by a spilled oil on track, or you can write about setting a new WR on a snowy track through the woods or the amazing jump on the new Stunts Course track. Let your imagination loose and wild

Thank you very much for your submissions and the obligatory "no flamewars please".

Here in Slovakia we say that "repetition is the mother of knowledge" so I guess that it's okay for demo users to post the same suggestions over and over again But we also say "don't look at the donated horse's teeth" Make whatever point you want out of this post.

Yeah, I agree, that's a very good suggestion. You also forgot to mention:
+ Dynamic weather
+ Rain and wet track
+ Night racing
+ touge/mountain track(s)
- drifting tracks
- free roaming, a city with all roads available
- Engine building/tuning: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=5957
- Engine Tuning and Car Tweaking: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=2071
- Cam timing adjustment: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=1833
- More cars in demo
- - - Buying/selling stuff (wings, mufflers, furry dice), car modifications

I don't think that the increased installation size would be the major problem.

I find Outlook quite intuitive and comfortable. It even switches accounts automaticaly on Reply/Forward depending on where have you received the mail.

I have never tried Thunderbird though, so I cannot compare.

Quote from Crashgate3 :It was that picture that's been floating about the internet for a few years of a man with his willy up the exhaust of his car.

I know what you mean, I've seen it. I wish Hammond or May would play a prank on Clarkson and show the picture of Jeremy standing on the beach half-naked with the horrible belly he has I'd like to see Jezza's reaction at that moment.

So how close exactly does the Moon have to be, to be all around you?

You can unlock the second computer with the same login and pass, but you won't be able to play online on both comps at the same time. On your private LAN only.
What did Jeremy find on the internet?

In the latest series of Top Gear, in the News segment, Jeremy always said "I've searched on the internet and found this..." and at that moment the cameras cut to such a view that you can't see what's on their studio telly. What is it showing? Does anybody know?

SERIES 11:
EP 1: it was someone...making love to a car.
EP 2: ???
EP 3: a female racing driver showing her tits.
EP 4: ???
EP 5: ???
EP 6: ???

Quote from _--NZ--_[HUN] :Yeah, when I set my car black it's not as dark as a totally black skin.

My car is so black that it creates a hole in the time-space continuum.

What I like about LFS:
- the physics are actually even better than those in Need for Speed
- the default color of the XRT
- Westhill has only one possible layout, which is quite original
- it never rains in LFS...I hate rain, I'm allergic to it

I think it would be easier if you'd just copy the whole LFS folder to a USB drive and play it from there.

Quote from dougie-lampkin :But it wouldn't be different "routes", it would be just like putting barriers down on the car park to make "streets". Like having restricted areas on an open plain.

The graphics/physics engine could be able to do what you want. It's just that the devs have other things to do than creating environments for cruising. And maybe after it is possibly done, you'd only find out that such a thing is actually boring

So as I understand it:
a) A cabriolet is a car with a folding roof.
b) A folding roof is also refered to as a convertible roof, from which comes the term for a car body style.

Quote from Crashgate3 :'Convertible' generally means a powered movable hard-top though doesn't it?

I'd class the LXs as 'Softtop' not 'convertible'. The UF1 counts I suppose.

What's a cabriolet then?

Quote from Jakg :Ah, forgot to say I usually get a "IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO" error or similar.

I will right down the crash address next time it happens, Auto Restart's already off.

Interrupt requests are usually used for soundcards, at least that's my experience. I was having a similar problem until I've update my soundcard drivers.

What's the point of this thread?

They say "go back to NFS" because NFS is the symbol of car-tuning (as in neons, NO2, audio etc.). If somebody would have asked for RPG elements, they'd tell you to "go back to WoW". That's all. The whole thing is about gaming stereotypes.
And why people don't rather say "unfortunately, there is no such option in LFS" instead? Because it's easier to be an **** on the internet. They wouldn't tell you the same thing eye-to-eye, because they would be affraid of getting their buttcheeks kicked. And it's also a means of ventilating their frustration with people, who cannot use the search button and ask for the same thing over and over.

And one last thing: everybody should learn to use words like "never, always, everybody, nobody" more wisely and with caution, as those are very strong words.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have some cop chases in my Murcielago. Gotta try my new exhaust pipe extension.

Quote from h3adbang3r :Pre ordering an S3 liscense would not be smart (IE having 12 pounds on your account and draining it for S3 before it's released) because nobody would have any idea when it could be released.

And if you consider inlfation....

You did a good job. It might be quite helpful for those without imagination. However I'd still like to see it in motion and better yet, see some good normal-mapping applied to sand and grass, as the asphalt is relatively smooth compared to those two. Also the tires could use some of it too.

Quote from Shotglass :yeah but those are french dont take them too seriously according to them anyoe who isnt french or doesnt at least speak french must be stuck in the stoneage... although im a bit shocked by how little they know despite being so close to sk
but if sk is anything like cz at least the cars the majority of slovaks have are rubbish... although i rather fancy the lada thats in the parking lot where i work every day
speaking of exchanges to countries full of stupid misinformed people... someone i went to school with was in australia when the kosovo war started... the exchange mom was worried about sending her exchange child back into a warzone

You are right about the french And the people own mainly Škodas because they are good value for the money. Ladas are not very common, they are too old and expensive to run. You can find all sorts of cars here, German, French, Spanish, British, American, but there is always at least one Škoda at every parking lot And there are people driving rubbish cars in every country. Not everyone can afford an Audi R8, you know.
