I don't think M.Shumacher can horn slower cars in front of him

You know... I never realized the hooter was usable in the BF1....

Now I realized my ignorance for those times I could have honked them over instead of spamming the "BLUE FLAG, LET ME PASS YOUR SLOW ASS" hotkey

I just realized now that Insim looks like a mix between C and VB...

I never touched insim once. perhaps I should

Quote from tristancliffe :That's the thing about F1 cars. They usually bring out a new one every year. The LFS version is of the 2006 car, and remains as up to date as the 2006 car in real life.

If you can pursuade Intel (or other sponsors, or even BMW Sauber F1) to allow and provide information to LFS, then maybe they'll get a newer one in.

But sitting there on your backside complaining it's 'out of date' is just a lame attitude.

Not exactly. You will find some different variations of the 2006 BMW sauber., in appearance. the LFS one is a "clean" body, but there were veriatios with the crazy aero packages.

The cars can change visually/mechanichally between the start of a season and the end of one.

Quote from Foilpact :How do i get more unlocks for LFS?

Been dual booting between Win7 and Xp for a few days n LFS wont unlock now....

Keep a copy of LFS on XP, and a seperate copy on Win7, and you wont have that issue.

Quote from batteryy :most of the ppl here hate demo people( for a reason i dont know:shrug and they also dont like crackers(i know a reason for that tho)

Only the ones that talk about cars they didnt pay for.

If you stole a XRR at a track you aren't allowed to be at, others would hate you (and others like you) too.

Guessing you have a modern DLS/FIBER (not modem) connection...

right click on the lan or wireless connection under Control Panel\Network Connections.

Select Properties...

Uncheck the QOS Packet Scheduler (or uninstall it)... That could help a bit.

For Lan and Internet Gaming it can be a bad thing to have, as the Packet Schedular will withhold data packets.... especially if you use a wireless network at home or 3G/Mobile Broadband (on a laptop)

also...
Quote from pako_customize :so what i can to do 40-70 fps is good but damn when some1 exit from damn pit tell me what i need to switch off

Im guessing they are referring to the lag... or trying to tell you to turn off downloads?

Check background processes...

and turn off Windows Automatic Update... This can create online lag. so set it to manual, or disable it alltogether.

If you have a ridiculously long lan cable, (you are 2 meters from your router, but the cable is like... 20 meter.....) then get a shorter one.

If you live in a country with no Fiber Connections... and they still use copper... then you are out of luck.

Quote from pako_customize :10x guys for all i back all old original files and now its okay ...when i take "game machine" then play with MAX settings all now i can close this POST 10x for everything

Just for reference

I may have been wrong in Boost (I remembered that there was)... but the following should at least be useable in the F1 while driving:
  • TC
  • Engine Push (I think I mistook this for Boost)
  • Differential selective switch
Also, that Engine Brake switch I think could prove be very valuble.

Quote from liveforspeedskins.tk :To simulate boost you could use a memory hack prog to change the handbrake value in to a negative value. That will speed up your reartires instead off slowing them down.

Will not work online normally, you will get kicked. Maybe it is possible to make a server which will accept it. You have to make sure everyone uses the same negative value.

Do not know if it would be possible with scripts to check that each driver can only use it for 2 sec each lap.

It works offline.

I dont like the idea of using non-legit methods for boost.

From what I understand a F1 car has 6 levels of boost (turbo)...

Goodie.

Perhaps this means 3 months of testing the same BF1 set will go slighly to waste? Have to maybe redo my suspension and tyre testing?.

In addition:
Quote from The Very End :Sorry, but no

Just make a setup with hard susb. , road tyres and max angle lock on the wheels, should be easy to drift then.

Implenting things as drift tyres would be the oposit thing of what should be done, the first line is racing, then when S3 is out then can start thinking of new alternative racing and utilities.

Agreed.

+1 .

Needs AntiStall System

Needs to be started in PitBox if engine happens to be stalled. (if you successfully rolled to your pitbox)

Needs the Boost setting as well.

on F11 you can already adjust brake bias (labeled Brake Balance) while driving.

Quote from PedraumF :F1 cars have anti-stall systems since 2004. Safer race start.

And the BF1 doesnt.

The BF1 may be the only car now doesnt have a starter now, but there could be future cars in LFS that don't have either.
Pitbox engine restart

For cars without starters or cannot start on their own.

Engine stalled going into pitlane (due to wheel lockup). Car rolls all the way to the pitbox (in gear - an attempt to roll start, failing), but it has no starter motor, therefore you are out of the race.

Realistically wouldnt a crew member in the pits be able to "restart" your F1/other engine and such? I would think that this would be possible during any race.

Quote from morpha :They can find themselves a game, this is a sim
I realize not everyone is in pursuit of simulating a real car in their homes, it's just a game for some. But it should be an option for those who treat LFS as what it is, a simulation, even if it still is a relatively simple one.

It's possible via InSim, but I think it should be part of the server, so +1.

That is a problem. I persue sim racing but I cant afford Wheel + Pedels with Clutch...

so my only option is Mouse. Im already stuck racing LFS exclusively because a large count of racing sims dont event support configurable mouse steering.

The chances of a mouser racing with a keyboard clutch is also very low.

Your answer is unfair. Forcing Clutch is unfair to everybody. In addition doing such could cause the amount of drivers you race against to reduce greatly , as at least half of them wont have access to a clutch pedal.

Quote from Mazz4200 :Go on then, try it yourself. Set your wheel up with a couple of buttons for up and downshifts - and one for the clutch - and don't forget to set a couple of buttons for the throttle and brake - and two more for left and right view aswell - maybe another one for rear view - and one for pit limiter. Then throw yourself into T1 in the middle of the pack on a crowded server.

Exactly. Acccident rate could rise globally.

Helmets will be replaced eventually....

Additional car interiors will be modernized.....

lots of 3d stuff will be updated eventually..

But whats more important... a car that looks good? Or a car that drives good?

If you have a router with a built in firewall check that too.

Open default port 63392 for lfs if it has one. Another option is to try contacting your ISP and asking them to leave certain ports permanently open on your connection

When u buy a license u have to accept the terms.

Weather you care about it or not, the fact that you clicked "I accept" means that YOU HAVE TO ABIDE by there terms.

Therefore you agreed to their terms eather or not you actually read it. Its the law. Because you agreed with their terms they can do all sorts of stuff when you violate their agreement, and in somecases it it possible to take legal action.

Its a license to own. Just like how you cannot sell your driver's license legally, or a gun license.

Account selling happens more often in MMORPGs, the buyer 50% of the time end up buying a perma-banned account they spent 400$ on for a set of maxed characters and pets. I monitor crap like this.

Websites that support illegal sales of game accounts are often sued/legally attacked by the copyright holders of the product. With international law on their side as well.

A ToS should be read. If u dissagree with it then you shouldn't have even paid for it to begin with, and bought something else instead.
