Something to remember, if you get a nice car, and spend a lot of money on it, in only a few years you will have lost about half of that value and have paid insurance and gas into it as well.

If you get a lower vaule, older car (but reliable!) you'll not lose much money in depreciation, spend less on insurance, and maybe not lose money on interest either if you've saved up a bit of money .

I bought my first car this summer and only spent $2,450. As long as I don't crash it or something like that I'll be able to sell it for about $1,900 three years from now.

If I'd spent $7,500 on a vehicle that was newer, I'd only be able to sell it for around $4,000-$5,000 three years from now

Something to consider.

I'm getting pretty fed up with the "debris" cautions when there's no evident debris anywhere. Have been for a while. At Phoenix somebody went close to the wall and NASCAR threw a yellow flag.

I've been slowly losing attraction towards all three series', but the Cup series especially. That's not to say I don't like the racing, but the yellows for no good reason never cease to anger me and turn me away from the series'.

Last night's truck race was really good . Looking to watch this EXCITING Nationwide Series owner's championship race later today

Percision and endurance are important. Typical physical ability isn't really all that important, but the aforementioned attributes are. MS could possibly take away from these important racing abilities, but hopefully Bayne's case is slight rather than severe.

In other news, Johnson will likely take his 6th championship on Sunday.

Great race so far, but the 2nd caution really got my goat. Still not over it really. Both championship teams have been making mistakes left and right.. haha

Edit: David Reutiman pounds the turn 1 wall and flattens the entire back half of that BK racing car. The rear windshild was faced straight down towards the ground along with the rest of the rear of that vehicle.

Also, it looks as though next Sunday's Sprint Cup race will be Mark Martin's last. It's been a heck of a ride for that man. I'll be sad to see him hang it up, but it's needed. He will likely go on to live out the rest of his life quietly away from the world of racing once he finishes testing for Stewart-Has racing (if I had to guess).

When I first saw the Wallace Jr. incident, even as a huge fan of his I thought that it was his fault, but having seen it again (not while on the verge of sleep as I was last night ) I realize that the other driver basically just took him out in practice .

It's good to see Wallace have some passion about that. Sticking up for his team and the work they had to put back into that truck.

Fell asleep during the race, but I'm certainly impressed to look at Erik Jones and how he has performed. 5 truck races, 5 top 10's, 2 top 5's and 1 win.. at the age of 17! (Born in May of 1996). He also has an ARCA win under his belt

Sunday's race in Phoenix is sold out other than single seats and the hill for the 2nd straight year . That's where everybody was last week

Vote yes if you would participate in the 2014 Kyoto 400 if we were to bring back Worldwide Racing in order to run this single event on January 25th and February 1st of 2014.

Traditional format. Single car qualifying and 2x100 mile duels (54 laps) on the 25th starting at 18:00 GMT, ending around 21:00 GMT assuming a full field.

216 laps + 4 pace laps at Kyoto Ring Oval (KY1) on February 1st for the Kyoto 400. All in FZR. Racers will need to obtain at least 2 practice sessions credits prior to qualifying day. Race would begin at 18:00 GMT.

Worldwide Racing recently disolved, but I may attempt to bring it back for this single event if enough people are interested in participating.

I want to say Matt, but I'm going to go with Jimmie... #3 returns to Sprint Cup next year, and Jimmie Johnson goes after his record tying 7th championship. Old time Earnhardt fans will be happy campers all year!

I think environmental changes would make the enjoyment factor much greater in LFS. As it is the same people are always the fastest and it takes years of practice to get to the level that those fastest guys are. A little environmental grip change here and there would completely change the dynamics of a race. As it is the people who are fast at the start will be fast at the finish unless they melt their tyres.

Dynamic conditions would definitely improve the quality of league races, and would bring more driver interest in for LFS.

That's not the say that the tyre physics cannot be improved, but I think the environmental factor would be a greater improvement.

Dover Motorsports Inc. is much worse off than the big two track owning companies. DVD is in-fact losing money every other year . They have drastically cut their costs to make up for the lost ticket sales and revenue.

ISC and Dover Motorsports have cut their costs to make up for the lost reveune, but SMI has not.

Sad thing is that if they dropped the ticket prices the total cost of attendance would be hardly effected. Hotels and gas are the primary costs any more for the majority of people. No doubt it would raise the attendance, but rather or not it would make the companies more money is all that they care about, and I'm not sure it would do that sadly

Danica did much better this Spring in Martinsville, but she performed well again today.. sort of.

A great weekend of racing in Martinsville . Bubba finally broke through for a win, and anybody getting mad at a Dillon is fine with me . Today's race was a little messy, but never a dull moment in it . Great racing all day.

I didn't get into any of these myself, but they probably wouldn't be a bad idea. They will receive more business anyways, but I personally don't like the government having a hand in any market. They screw more things up than they fix, so I'm avoiding that.

The government debt is bad everywere, but how will that effect the earnings of companies? Tax, maybe, but the US receives plenty of money in taxes as it is. We just spend it in some of the most inefficient ways possible. (almost $500 mil. health care website that doesn't even work )
