I think I was able to get 160km/h on Saab 99 2.0 and something around 180-190km/h on Nissan Sunny 1.6, but that thing was horrible to drive past 120km/h.
Fastest I've traveled as a passenger was something +200km/h on my friend's M-B 190E Cosworth, that was scary as hell since he tends to be bit reckless.
Yep, 2.5 24v V6 from Opel Omega, but I guess it wasn't very popular choise since 2.0 16v Turbo had more horsepower.
Based on what I found out on google, Dell Inspiron 1501 comes with one 512MB PC2-4200 DDR2 200pin SO-DIMM memory stick and has total of two memory sockets supporting up to 2Gb of ram.
But before going out shopping, open the panel on the back and take a look at what kind of memory it is just to be 100% sure.
That kind of skidpad is nothing like driving on snow or icy tarmac, grip is very on/off like where you got plenty of grip until you push it too far and it just snaps out, but with fast correction the grip returns really quickly aswell. On heavy snow or ice the feeling is much more smoother and grip doesn't return so quickly.
Evilgenius: It's definately your CPU holding you down, especially if yours is based on Williamette core which on Celeron model is badly handicapped by having only 128kB L2 cache.
By the way, don't even bother trying NFS:PS. Even Crysis runs smoother than that crap while still looking damn good at lowest settings.
Microprocessors don't have moving mechanical parts so they won't wear out even if you use them and the FPS limit should be set same as monitor refresh rate. Althought I'm not sure if the difference is noticable on LCDs due to latency (4-8ms?) but I'm not huge fan of those anyways :P
Suspension damage works pretty well and only thing I'd like to see added is possibility to lose a tire. This might stop many wreckers since you just end up spinning around if you try to accelerate with just one rear tire.
Well, it's something you can really expect when the car has been built and configured for Schumacher over past few years and their driving styles are most likely little bit different. I've read in some article that next year Ferrari has shorter wheelbase and should be more responsive which is said to be something that Kimi prefers.
If you buy one and live nearby, let me know. I promise I won't stalk you or break into your garage while you're sleeping so I could touch it or do anything involving bodyoil and carwax...
It doesn't really matter if Hamilton doesn't win world championship as long as he stays in McLaren and has a car to get to the podium. He is still the media's favorite and that gives him the support from sponsors and Bernie. Alonso and Räikkönen don't seem to care (well, Räikkönen doesn't) that much about the PR aspect of F1, but the fact is that sponsors bring so much money into the sport that if you have to choose one out of three drivers who are pretty much equal on the track, your sponsors want you to pick the one that "sells".
I bet those group 8 cars are not using the chassis from street model and are much lighter with lower center of gravity. Neither it is suprising that real offroad car sits higher than SUV that has ground clearance designed to go over speedbumps instead of rocks and ditches.
I agree with you on that suspension tuning depends on where the car is designed to go, however most SUVs are designed to be used as a people carriers in city area. At low speeds soft suspension is more comfortable and target audience is not really that interested in how it drives rather than how it feels like to sit in. For complaining husbands car manufacturer's have come up with "sport SUVs" such as Land Rover Sport which still handles like a pig but 4.2 V8 has more horsepower than neighbour's Honda CR-V.
Well, on most setups brakes are set so they won't lock tires on low speeds at 100% brake power, but at high speeds the tires won't be nowhere near lockup treshold and aggressive engine braking is used to cover up for the unused braking potential.
Besides, it's pointless to go for higher framerates than your monitor is capable of drawing. I'm not one to go over-the-top with AA and AF settings so I'm typically getting +100fps unless there's plenty of other cars in sight, but it's pretty pointless since turning v-sync on which limits fps to 100 I get so much smoother gameplay and no screen tearing.
Another thing is, use common sense when setting up those graphics options. No point maxing out AA and AF if you don't see any visual difference compared to medium settings.
Does anyone have any statistics if Catalyst A.I even gives any FPS improvement in LFS? I tried to get some graphs but looks like ATT is having a bad day again and I can't make any setting changes to take effect in game, but not like that matters since the graph doesn't seem to draw FPS count either...
Just wondering since in some games that setting have caused all kinds of problems, most common one being that when it's set to "High", AA and AF won't work.
Keyboard is just fine, althought alot less fun, with a car like XFG. However I wouldn't even consider using it to drive any of the openwheelers due to requirement of precise steering and throttle control.
I'm a racer but I do some drifting aswell, usually when practising new car or track to find out how far I can push the limits on each corner under racing situations.
I don't think it counts as a drifting due to low angle, but taking corners in small slide helps me make a car "wide" if I'm fighting a losing battle and need to hold my position for one more lap. Also on some cars I just have to forget tidy racing lines and pull something out of the drifting arsenal to make it turn into corner.
Well, you can create textures with Zbrush aswell, even though it's alot better for texturing actual models such as characters and other organic objects. But take your time, it's better to wait until you feel like continuing this project than rush it.
Get online and follow other drivers to see how the brake and enter corners, that's the fastest way to learn a new track. Drive at your own pace until you get used to the track and give enough room for faster people to pass you.
For learning the tracks I would use FXR since it's very forgiving and easy to drive while still being rather quick if you get the driving line right. Once you get the driving lines precise enough for GTR car, driving something slower gets a whole lot easier aswell.
Only hunting rifles and shotguns are sold to civilians because hunting is very popular in here, getting a legal handgun on the otherhand is pretty much impossible. I know many people who own guns but only one has a pistol aswell, he bought it in the 80's for executing sick animals on his farm.
But I suppose if you got right connections in bit city, you can get anything you want for right amount of cash.
Damn, they really know how to rip off customers. I guess it depends on the place, I live in rather small town and I pretty much know the people running the shop so that might be it.
Better go for Geforce just to be sure, Radeon does suck alot of power and runs quite hot which can be a problem if case is typical OEM style compact component hell.
