Well, it IS a game, and the GT Life section is supposed to be the "meat" to the game.

The GT series has always been a bit of a grind, but at the moment, there isn't a great deal of "meat" on the bones.

Maybe I'll have a bit more fun when they sort out the time trial leaderboards.

B Spec is properly dire for me, I've tried and tried, but I just don't get it.

If I buy a driving game, I want to drive, not watch some shonky AI driver drive for me, I just fail to see how anyone can get any satisfaction from it.

I am now at a point where, to race in the remaining events I need either a) lots of money to buy car x, or b) wait for days and days for car x to appear in the used car dealership.

Anyone got any tips for the best events (not specials) to farm money in?

Is it possible to look at your friends other friends on PSN (as on XBL)?, that might be a better way to do it.

No, you can't "design" your own corners, what you see if what you get, all you can play around with is the sliders, but you can come up with some quite good tracks, however the environments are quite bland and uninspiring, which makes driving them a bit of a dissapointment.

Special events seem to give the most XP / time

I can remember leveling up to a certain level that say took 20'000XP, I reached it, and the next level was say, 36'0000XP, however, instead of only having to earn 16'000XP, the "current XP" meter reset back to zero, and I had to earn the whole 36'000XP

If Al Queda ever get hold of a snow machine, this country would be ****ed, it totally mental, and embarrasing just how this country can be brought to its knee's by a little bit of snow.

Hmmm....odd, I think it was called an "extension" or something in the aero parts section of GT Auto

Pretty sure its just one of the ones on the aero list, don't think I've unlocked any aero parts.

I raced the Audi R8 5.2 @ Tokyo R246, and that felt pretty awesome.

Just golded the final "rally challenge" special event (missed the inter one, need to do that), and I have that feeling that rallying is something else that hasn't been fleshed out as much as it should have, apart from the special events, and arcade, there is a woefully low amount of rallying, which is a shame, because its actually pretty good.

I also wish there was a harder AI setting, tinkered with the "one make races" last night, and they would be quite fun, if the AI wasn't so woefully bad, I managed to win my one make CL600 race by a good 10secs, even with a ton of drifting thrown in.

I am constantly finding the physics of cars go from blindingly good, to woefully bad, depending on the car, I think that premium cars are generally better.

I noticed this too, it appears that the XP isn't cumulative, like "normal", it does indeed reset to zero after ever level.

Also, someone mentioned earlier a way to upload pics to this forum from the XMB using the PS3 browser, can someone explain how this is done?

Oh....you mean artifically stage shots to look good?, more commonly know as bullshots

Don't get me wrong, as I have said over and over, when it looks good, it looks better than anything else, some of the photo travel shots I have seen are jaw dropping, but you shouldn't have to stage shots to make them look good, they should look good without that effort.
