What car in real life would ever show wheel speeds, (presuming you mean the RPM of the wheels?) it would be a unit of measurement with no fixed scale anyway, bigger wheels do less revolutions over any given distance and smaller wheels do more, this would be pointless, mph or km/h, ie car movement speed, just like the real world is the way it should be.
Tomorrow is the day where the resurrection commences, the roadster (oh ok, mx-5) goes off to get mended, its gonna take a few weeks, if not a coupla months as its going to be done by my cousins husband at his place of work (a garage) when they are quiet, so bits and bobs will be done and more progress will be made as and when he has a gap to get some stuff done, the new clutch is with the car, new springs (-40mm ones) are in the post and will be dropped off to him once they arrive, new wheels are fitted already, well, 2nd hand alloys, but new to the car, and although the tyres are far from good, they are just about MOT passable so the little eunos should come back running and tested in the not so distant future! :woohoo:
Good point doyal, thats something i plan to look at in the future, but the car is going to my cousins place to be all fixed up this week, he is only going to be working on it in his spare time and it needs a clutch replacement so it is gonna take a coupla weeks, but it will prospectively need an MOT quite soon after that and i just wanted it sat on anything other than the broken rusty stuff it has for suspension at the moment, which i know it will fail on.
I plan to get it all sorted and done properly in future, once its legal and manouverable, as it needs another bonnet ideally (its creased on one side) one door had a parking dent in and the paint work is total toilet to be fair, so a strip back prep and respray will be on the cards eventually, once i save up enough to get it all finished.

Set of new springs for the mazda, made by rokkor, and come from germany, dont know alot about the manufacturer, have found mixed reviews about them online, but for £28 for a set of 4 i dont see how i can really go wrong, a pair of 2nd hand rear springs (the ones i really need as mine are both snapped) would cost that if not more, plus these ones give a 40mm drop too, which will make it sit a little better without being stupidly low or bouncy bumpy, i hope, they may be that cheap for a reason, but for the money im gonna give em a go!

I use photobucket, seems pretty good.
This ones a eunos, which is essentially an mx-5 anyway, just a jap import one, the only difference is the badges obviously lol, and that there are various better trim levels and other goodies with the eunos as opposed to a UK one such as bilstien coilovers as standard plus many other optional bits, plus some other more mundane differences, such as a warning buzzer and little light on the dash if you forget to do your seatbelt up, and a little light indicating if the cat gets too hot (where the foglight light is on a uk one) but the easiest way to tell from a distance (unless someones gone to the bother of swapping it) is the rear panel, british ones have a normal shaped numberplate, and eunos's have the squarer one.
Mine came with aircon, momo steering wheel, a higher redline (early uk ones are 6500rpm, eunos is 7250rpm) plus i have a limited slip diff

Good point, and true, but any newer iphone will not charge at all with any kind of hardware that uses the older style pin layout/firewire thing, you just get an error message of “charging is not supported with this accessory” as i tried to use mine (3GS 8GB) in an old dock thats lying around at work, hence why i am constantly pissing off the guy that works in the bricks showroom bit, as he is the only person that has an actual PC with useable USB ports that i can charge up from when it constantly dies because i keep leaving apps running by accident.
I see what people mean about bikers in general, moving over and giving them some room is a courteous thing to do, but its the ones who decide to bomb along the outside of massively long queues of traffic during rush hour and fully believe that just because they are on a motorised crotch rocket, they automatically have the god given right to barge their way down the middle of the road and overtake everyone like they have some kind of priority, plus riding practically along the centre line with traffic coming towards you aint exactly safe on some roads.
I see this kind of behaviour quite frequently on my drive to work in the mornings, and to be brutally honest, if they end up getting clipped and knocked off by an oncoming vehicle because their handlebars are overhanging into the other lane then i really dont have any sympathy for them, i wouldnt want to see them badly or injured and i wouldnt want them to die obviously, but they would simply have nobody to blame but themselves.
But whats the betting that the 'wreckless car driver' would still have the finger pointed at them when it comes to laying blame in an incident such as that.
I dont dislike bikers, i used to be one, well, i had mopeds, not really the same, but still, i dont have any problem with them in general, but just because you are sat astride something which can do about a gazillion miles an hour and which in some lower speed situations is somewhat controlled by little more than balance, it dont make them road royalty, its their choice to sit on a hunk of metal with nothing but a skid lid and some cows skin for protection then thats down to them, they know the risks involved and what could potentially happen if a car hits them.
I will always be courteous and polite to bikers if i can do, but being a biker doesnt give you some kind of free road pass and that us mere car drivers should therefore dive for the verge just because a bike following might want to come past when there isnt really room to do so safely.

I saw inception the other week, never been so confused in my entire life, but it was a good film nevertheless.
Since then we have been to see little fockers, which was quite a laugh, and yesterday we went to see just go with it, with adam sandler and jennifer aniston in, wasnt bad at all.
Next up is paul, alien film with simon pegg and that other guy in (shaun and ed from shaun of the dead lol) which comes out tomorrow, i have never been to the cinema so much as i have over the last little while.

Never got around to getting the tyres removed, plus on second thoughts, and after trying one rim on the car, it doesnt actually look bad with that colour scheme, it kinda suits it in a strange sort of way i think, something a little bit different.
Yeah pretty much, although i have the iphone vdj app now so i tend to use the phone screen for the mixer as i can move stuff around quicker, thats when my net isnt being crud tho, as when it drops out it makes it lag.
It does look a lot clearer than this, but for some reason everything i upload to photobucket using the phone gets compressed down to less than 40kb, god only knows why lol

I have the iphone 3gs on three network, and i can safely say that the coverage is piss poor, i dont think there has ever been a day in the 2 months or so i have owned it when i havent had the oh so familiar 'searching...searching...no service' message where my signal bar should be at least once, i went for a night out in a busy town centre a few weeks ago and had no signal for the entire 5 hours that i was out, it wasnt till i got home that i finally got all the accumulated texts and voicemails, and we had walked around practically the whole of town, and last weekend i went to wisbech, then to kings lynn banger racing for the day, then back to wisbech again, and at no point during that time, including travelling between lynn and wisbech could i get any signal at all, its terrible, the only main places i know i can get signal *most* of the time are at work at the pub or at home, even sat in my room now and i only have 1 out of 4 bars, and i dont think i have ever seen full singal, not ever, i literally dont like to have to rely on it, as anywhere else its a total signal lottery.
Rims are now cleaned up and ready to be covered in nitromors to get that colour scheme gone, with luck the worst will peel away, but still some bits will need sanding to get rid of all of it id imagine, i cant risk the new coat of white reacting with whatever sort of paint is already on there, i need a blank canvas to work on.
So tomorrow im taking them to get the tyres removed, then i can sort the edges out, they require some light filling, nothing major, just kerb scrapes and stuff like that, i want em perfect before the paint application stage.

Got my wheels today, they are in need of a good clean, tyres need to come off and they need a bit of a refurb, but i have a while to do it so im chuffed really, plus this is the only one which has a tyre with visible tread on, so it makes sense to bin the rubber, will probably bung this tyre on a 15" steel rim so i have the same sized spare, as its non directional, plus i hate that spacesaver digestive biscuit wheel with a passion!
They are fondametal rims, but i still cant find these actual ones anywhere on google images or anywhere, maybe they are quite old, in pretty good nick tho really, although that colour scheme will soon be gone, gonna strip them back to bare metal and have them done out in bright white, to match the car, then a fresh set of toyo t1r proxes all round and we shall be away!

It dosent mean that you must get totally wasted to start a convo because thats just silly, but a quick drink often can make you feel a little more at ease and a little more confident, plus its an age thing, i used to be terrified of talking to people i didnt know very well when up until i was 16 or 17, then by 20 or so i could chat to people quite easily,and by now i will pretty much bore the arse off anyone who'll listen to me!

Turns out the bloke she was "about to dump" has become mr sunshine over the last few days, realised how much of a prat he was acting and is now being the perfect BF, so despite everything that has been said, they are getting on really well again and are pretty much back together properly, f*****g **** b******s sh!t w****r arse head and hole, words really cant convey how pissed off and upset i am today, i dont think i have been in this bad of a mood for a very very long time, more fool me for getting my hopes up so much, set myself up for a big fall really, yeah f*****g brilliant
So im gonna go do what i do best later, which is go out and get absolutely hammered, b******s, who f*****g cares.#

DRRRAGGG That, is the sound of me pulling this thread up from the vast depths of this forum, but its for a good reason, it seems as if i have won the battle somewhat.....
Due to situations beyond by control which are very complex, i shant go into detail about it because to be fair it would most probably bore the arse off of most of you if i elaborated any more, theres 1 or 2 from here that know the 'score' so to speak (klutchy and princess bexter
) but yeah, i basically hardly ever drink very much at all now compared to how i was.
I occasionally have literally 1 can of bitter of an evening sometimes, maybe twice a week if that, due to the aforementioned reasons i need to be able to drive at any given time, day or night regardless, hence the cutdown, and my god i feel so much better for it!

They are only 15 inch rims, i like the look of big wheels on mx5's, especially mk1's, but as they have pretty much spot on handling already i dont want to risk ruining it with huge great wheels, and the clutch kit is all ready to be fitted, the car is waiting to be moved to a workshop so that it can be fitted, all the brakes are now shot as well tho, thats what 6 months parked up through an english winter does to a car
