Can any PC run on mac OS X, as i have an old dell optiplex gx260 (sff) here, it currently has xp pro on it but the install is completely hammered due to the previous owner getting into all sorts of muddles with adware etc, and although its only a little p4 1.8ghz with 256mb ram, its so full of crap that it takes about 10 minutes just to get into windows, and as i havent got an XP pro CD i was considering just dumping windows and installing either the google OS, or OS X on it, if it will work.
So, does anyone know if this would work?
Many thanks, and sorry if this is a silly question.
Loading and running fine here both in chrome and firefox, although i refuse to do anything in internet exploder exploiter explorer out of principle, it really is the armpit of browsers
I,ll stick up a pic of my setup, will add it to this post in a momento.
Small stack of vinyl, all hardcore.
Shelf full of records as well, right stack is mainly hardcore, left stack is trance, funky house, theres all sorts in that pile, i do have another big cardboard box somewhere with more vinyl of various genres in, i think its in the loft.
Decks and mixer, plus tape deck underneath for when im in a 'listen to old rave tapes' kind of mood, pc sound runs into the mixer as well.
Everything runs into this retro amp and speakers, which only fits in the room if it sits on top of this wardrobe, which is a handy place for it to be as its directly behind the desks, i mush prefer my sound coming from behind me, which is good.
Spare PC's in case mine goes wrong.
VDJ on my pc, the keyboard and mouse is effectively my mixer at the moment, although i have now got the iremote app working on the iphone, which allows me to control VDJ via its touch screen, which is again, handy.
Yeah thats the one dadge, loads very familiar scratch samples on there too, i had a quick mess about with it earlier, here is my attempt, far from good at it yet, plus my host record kept bloody jumping, but you get the idea lol
And yeah, either PM me the link to that mix or stick it in my calling all ravers thread if you like mate, i just bumped it with my new years set
You can actually drink beer wine or cider in public at 16 years old in the uk, but only if it is bought by someone over the age of 18, and you are in a restaurant and the drink is accompanying a meal.
Ahh, 18 is the golden year over here, only a year later tho so not too bad, i still think it takes the piss in the USA tho, can drive at 16 but cant drink until your 21??
This has happened to me, well certianly from my side of things anyway, i tried to do the more moral thing, block it out and stay with my fiancee of nearly 5 years, but when it really comes to it, you just cant turn it off, once you feel it thats it, so all i could do in the end was follow where my heart was taking me, so bye bye fiancee.
Ultimately it was an epic failure of sorts (go back a few pages and you will see the outcome of all that) but it was something that i just had to do.
Just starting to get a bit here as of the last few hours, its supposed to snow all night, but after the abysmal efforts that have happened since it started it just looks like someones kicked a box of percil all over the drive.
If your gonna snow at least do the fooker properly!!
On a slight sidenote, a good mate of mine is the sole reason why a fairly big rule regarding engines in 2litre / national banger meetings was changed a couple of years back.
The previous rule was that no engine bigger than 2l were allowed in granadas, which left an all pinto powered line up as it was, until my mate bought back a few 2.0l cologne V6 engines from over on the continent!
He spent most of a season happily going in for head-ons and pinging peoples timing belts, no such worry for his 2l V6, and perfectly within the rules too, until the next season, where the ruling was reworded to say no v6 engines in granadas at 2l/national meetings.
I think these days, well over here in the UK anyway, there arent very many engines at all that are non collision that i know of, i guess having a less 'tall' (for want of a better word) saves space and weight.
I dont personally know of anything built at all recently that is a non collision setup, but this doesnt mean there arent any tho, as i am far from being an expert.
It is also the non collision aspect that makes the old ford pinto engine a favourite for quite a few oval motorsports over here, break a timing belt, oh well never mind, pits, re-time the engine up, new belt on, go again!
When i finally get the new clutch and the new rear suspension fitted to my 5 i will be able to have that kind of fun again, god i have missed it this winter.
If he was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving, then he must have been served the minimum 12 month custodial sentence, get 12, serve 4, then out on license or whatever they call it.
If he had been sentenced to the maximum tariff of 14 years then he would have been away for at least four and a half years.
Well, im sure that mr iraqui man has his face known after all this publicity and such, so maybe some drugged up hoodies will reconise him late one night, and kick in someone who actually deserves a good going over, we live in hope.
