Quote from Minimaxman :James Nash is my hero at the moment, consistently at the sharp end in the races and look where it's put him; leading the British Touring Car Championship.

Thruxton this weekend, Nash hasn't had any experience of the track before though so we shall see. Hondas are traditionally hard on their tyres here, maybe the extra weight of the turbos will make that even more of an issue?

All the turbo engines have had to reduce maximum boost by 0.1 bar to try and even things up.

Probably a good move, especially for Thruxton. The turbo cars were making 3 or 4 car lengths down the Donington back straight.

Quote from BlueFlame :It is a fact, spending money on anything you don't need to survive is a waste of money. Only difference is, I'm not a mug, so I don't pay monthly for any games I play. Would you pay monthly for a football? Or cricket gear? No. You buy it for life and use it when you need/want to.

So, LFS is a waste of money?

Anyway, I spend more money going to play 5 a side football every week than I spend a month on iRacing.

Moose, the Rolling Stones, fact!

Nope, cars aren't stallable.

This build is great, IMO. Sebring night is unbelievable, Okayama is a great track, I am getting better overall FPS and no more stutter, and it has also fixed the FFB bug I had with a couple of cars. Can't ask for more.

Something as simple as saying that you're testing something will spoil the results, it will make people think about it and perhaps pick a different number than what they would have picked with no thought.

I always pick the date I was born, or some other number related to me. it's never really random.

Quote from sinbad :I'm sure those knights in shining armour, those gallant and noble men, those defenders of the weak and the weary- they wouldn't do anything illegal with our personal data, would they? They just want to prove their righteous point to Sony. No doubt by now they have destroyed any information that they have obtained. I'm sure it was very difficult for them to do it, to knowingly steal our private data, I really feel for them at this time of hardship, the emotions that must be going through their heads. Just think of the bigger picture, you heroes, you Kings among men, the end justifies the means.

I doubt this was anything to do with Anonymous. Anyway, if Sony had decent security, this wouldn't have happened.

Should be back at 6PM. I'm expecting 300 hosted Sebring Night sessions, which is no bad thing.

I've seen complaining about that before, if they set up a few computers running iRacing at something like the Nascar Hall of Fame, as soon as someone starts driving backwards that computer is kicked clean out of the server and can't rejoin .

I couldn't give a ****, I change my bank card almost monthly (I can't stop losing them) and I have no more information on PSN than you would be able to get on facebook, so I couldn't care less. As I said, I'm actually quite happy that I might be able to pick up a PS3 for buttons.

Hopefully everyone will try and sell their PS3s now, meaning the price goes into freefall and I can pick up a replacement for my YLOD one for next to nothing. Even better if it's still on FW 3.55, new ones all come with 3.6.

Nice of Sony to keep this information to themselves for a week. Not that I particularly give a ****.

Die, visa security thing is ****ing useless. I was buying something tonight, it wouldn't accept my password (it never does, I make a new one every time I use it), I tried it 3 times so it locked me out. Then, to unlock myself, I only had to put in my Card Number, expiry date and security number, making the system completely ****ing pointless. Not exactly a secure system, is it?

Nationwide car says "will be out in one to three weeks". I'm betting it will be at least a month, if not in the August build.

Quite a good build apart from that, obviously night racing is going to be great.

yeah, only in Rookie and D races (Carb Cup for example) do you get the quick repair, in the Class A races you don't get a tow or repair.

I always thought that Jason, but I have now figured out, mainly from hosted racing, that if you pull into your pit box, escape out of the car and then get back in, that gives you a brand new car.

Also, if you are racing in one of those cars mentioned which have damage repair, instead of a quick tow you get a quick repair, just stop in your box and it automatically gives you a brand new car.

Quote from blakehoo88 :haha, fail. i got confused reading this post

Yeah sorry, the new build isn't out until tomorrow with Sebring Night included

One of the iRacing staff said we should get the Build Notes today, which is nice. It's only right that they delayed the new build until tomorrow, just so they don't **** up the DWC race tonight.

Astroboy, get out of rookie oval, fast! It's not worth it, get into the Late model or the Trucks and the standards improve immensely. Especially don't race during Week 13, I once lost 1.5SR while winning a Street Stock race, simply because of people wrecking for fun.

I have both the Shifter adapter and the Pedal adapter, both work perfectly, both were ordered on an afternoon and delivered the next day. Leo even sent me a message on the iRacing forums and refunded the postage to me for the Pedal adapter, which was very good of him.

Quote from Racer X NZ :The row over the privacy of mobile phone users escalated today as it was revealed that Google devices regularly transmit user locations back to the company.
The new revelations come after Apple was this week slammed by several Congress members for the way user locations are being stored in unencrypted databases on the iPhone and iPad, sometimes stretching back several months.

In Google's case an Android HTC phone tracked its location every few seconds and transmitted the data back to Google several times an hour, according to new research by security analyst Samy Kamkar for the Wall Street Journal.
It also transmitted the name, location and signal strength of any close Wi-Fi networks and the phone's unique identifier.
Both Google and Apple have previously admitted they are using location data to build massive databases of Wi-Fi hotspots.
This can then be used to pinpoint individual's locations via their mobile phones, which in turn could help the companies tap into the huge market for location-based services, currently worth $2.9billion.

The daily mail? If everyone believed what the Daily Mail says, they would think that this country has 300 million black immigrants spreading TB and taking all OUR jobs! They are a joke, and an even worse source for news than your anti-semite usual nonsense.

Quote from BlueFlame :Is it really? So someone on minimum wage who doesn't live with mother can afford it? I doubt it. On your wage you pay for all your bills, your rent, and any other outgoings you have, internet/car insurance. After all these in a month, you aint even gonna afford one payment for iracing. Where as, LFS, or rFactor, you save up the 30£ to buy it, then, wow, you have it. FOREVER. Nobody will take ti away from you , no matter how broke you get.

Are you living in an alternate universe? Someone on minimum wage can't spare $4 per month?

Anyway, your point is mute. People who want to play LFS, or rFactor, spend £200 on a wheel, then £600 ish on a PC. It's hardly cheap either, is it?

Quote from BlueFlame :At your local RENT-A-KART.

Bullshit, try again.

Quote from BlueFlame :3 days to get 550$? Doing what? Professional football? Coming home with 165$ a day? And your what? Under 20? That's what living in the best economic country (Norway) of the world lets you have. Of course it's nothing to you, what about everyone else? Where in their countries earning 80£ a day is considered being well off indeed.

Iracing is a waste of money. FACT. Just like WOW. Yes monthly sub is fine, but paying for any extra content is too much willingly parting with your money. You may aswell feed your paper notes through a straw in a donkeys ass. It would probably stick with you in your mind for alot longer than 10mins after doing it.

You should try reading, he said "half". So $275, so $91 per day. $10 an hour, or £6 per hour (UK minimum wage funnily enough), 9 hours a day. Easy.

iRacing is a hobby. Nobody signs up to iRacing and buys 100% content, you buy 3 or 4 tracks and a car which lets you do a full season. All types of gaming are a waste of money, we all spend £200 on G25s, £500 on PC's to play. We don't need to do it, but we do because it's fun.

Anon are hardly the type to shit themselves from a little pressure from the law. Anyway, even if they were, are the FBI really going to say "Oh look, Anon denied it, it obviously wasn't them then"?

Anonymous have released a statement saying it wasn't them, and no other group has claimed responsibility. If it really was Anon, they would be jumping all over it saying how good they are at ****ing up Sony, but they aren't.
