Not yet, maybe at the end of this season (3 weeks from now) or maybe not, nobody really knows. This code is valid until next month, so you will be able to wait and see if the tyre model comes out at the end of this season before you renew.
By the way, is there any chance anyone here has a broken G25 that they're not using anymore? I've slightly broken mine from taking it apart to many times, and am just after a small part.
2 E-mails, one with a code for members who let their subscription lapse (which I'm going to use), and another e-mail with a different code for new members.
So, iRacing have sent out unique 3 month for $10 codes for new customers, I'm sure almost everyone here got one. If anyone wants one, I'l trade it for a referral
It's not insignificant, but you need to be in the 1000+ μSv range before you start feeling any effects from the radiation, and you get 50 ish μSv on a trans-atlantic flight.
It's almost a certainty that this race will be wet, you could almost set your watch by the storms in Malaysia. It's not helped obviously by the later starting time they've had for the past couple of years for the european audience, but I just hope that it doesn't turn into another complete washout like 2009.
Damn, I thought that was Jr's. At least he's proving that he is a frontrunner, seems a lot of people have been doubting he has the talent, this should help that a little.
Charlotte is a pretty good place to debut, I think. From my experience in iRacing, and from what Kyle Busch has said, in the COT and NW car it's pretty tricky, but in the Truck it's full throttle all the way round, at least for the first 20 - 30 laps. Raikkonen is throwing himself in at the deep end, but I reckon he will have what it takes. The biggest thing for him to work on is the race craft, there is no doubt he has the car control needed to muscle these round a track, but the race craft is completely different to anything he's experienced before.
The people who bash Nascar have obviously never watched a race properly and do not understand how difficult the big heavy cars with too much power and no downforce are to get round a track. On the flip side, Nascar fans who bash F1 have obviously got no idea how demanding it is to drive the fastest race cars in the world, and do not understand just how they are the technically right at the pinnacle of motorsport. It's swings and roundabouts, and both sets of people should be ignored. Real motorsport fans would see how good the racing is in both series, despite being vastly different.
I think F1 could learn a little from Nascar, cars which are overpowered almost always produce fantastic racing.
From a purely close racing overtaking view, Nascar is much more exciting than F1. From an overall view though, in my opinion, F1 is the much superior sport.
I'm not sure where all these positive thoughts are coming from, it's shite, still feels like the tyres are made of plastic and the car rotates around a central axis.
Nah, I've kept to the traditional 1st at the bottom left, I'm having enough trouble with that without completely reversing it . I've also kept my shifter on the left hand side, I tried putting it on the right and just kept punching my desk with my left hand, I think that habit is too ingrained.
I just set it up as a dog-leg for the Lotus, feels great, had never thought of it before. Still finding it hard to re-wire my brain though after years of a standard gearbox, keep going into 1st and blowing the engine
I might have to get involved then, it is one of my favourite cars to just drive in a private test session, but I always assumed that the participation wasn't great after keeping an eye on it last season. Ah well, we all know what assumptions do, I might just start keeping an eye out for races. Just noticed it's going to Spa in a week or 2, that'll be great.
